Conflict of interest is something like if a PSA authenticator happens to own stocks in that pawn shop, then legally and ethically, he can't authenticate the pieces himself. Pro food critics can't critique their own personal restaurants, that's a better example of conflict of interest.
He's a pawn shop and thats an investment. It could take months to sell. He isn't trying to make a grand off something that might sit around for several months, that would be stupid.
