  • During the AM Rush Hour, one R train runs to 96 St-2 Avenue and returns back as a Q trip that normally goes to Coney Island Yard upon completion. However due to this week's Brighton G.O closing tracks between Brighton Beach and Stillwell Avenue, there is no direct access to Coney Island Yard through the Brighton Line. This requires this trip to end at Atlantic-Barclays on the 4th Avenue Line platform in order to easily access Coney Island Yard.

Too bad they didn’t just send the Q via West End or Sea Beach

The Q to Atlantic-Barclays exists, but maybe there was no time to look for the announcement program, which is why the conductor is making manual announcements.

Uh no the conductor made manual announcement so riders knew that the train WAS ending at Atlantic avenue and if they needed Q service to wait at Dekalb rather than doing a huge maze to get to the regular Q platform
Also the signage says “ATLANTIC BARCLAYS” so actually does exist

@@TheTransitProductions This would’ve been amazing, since R160s now use Kathleen Campion’s Next and Last Stop, the entire announcement would’ve been done by her, just like the G to Court Square.
