Sakura Samurai is more underrated imo but Denpa Men is amazing.

Man, I wish I weren't so judgmental by eshop game covers. This game looked like shovelware or something when I first saw it, wasn't until now when I was trying to figure out what Genius Sonority is still up to these days that I noticed how great it actually was. This looks like it's probably one of the best eshop games.
I remember back in middle school, this exact video made me get Denpa Men with some of my leftover birthday money. Real nostalgia for this title!

Even though there is no overworld or a hub to spend some time mid-dungeons, I think that the 40+ hours to finish it is enough to give this game a check plus for length! BTW, I love this review and agree with it ;) Congrats on your great work!

It was localized by the same company that developed the game, and they really want to push their titles here. The sequel came out fairly quickly in Japan as well.
They announced the third game for this series on the japanese nintendo direct. It has some sort of animal crossing thing where you can costumize your own house.

Here’s the video that introduced me to The Denpa Men series. So many memories, although the first one I played was the demo of the 3rd game around 1-2 years later.
The fact that you even showed Phantasy Star IV just made my morning.
Fun fact: the devs used to be part of Heartbeat, which made a few Dragon Quest remakes and made Dragon Quest VII if I'm not mistaken

Also denpa men without antennas have better stats, to compensate for not being able to use abilities. They basically make great fighters. Especially the big ones!
It's on sale right now for $7.99 until May 30th! I'm going to purchase it since you made it seem sooo addicting! Plus, I kinda wanna check out Denpa Men 2, so I figured I should play the first one in the series. Apparently you can transfer data from Denpa Men 1 to the upcoming game!

Nah is was a last minute mistake. It was the Denpamen 1 Demo and where I found it was the nintendo website. Just type "Denpamen" in the search bar at the top left and it will come up.
Pause at 6:52 when he opens the chest and the light is shining on the item, and its still a little inside the chest. The yellow body, the redish brown stripes, the lightning bolt tail, and the ears!!! IS THAT A FREAKING PIKACHU??? No, no it's not. it's a scroll. Just a scroll nothing more, noting less.

if you need to get rid of perm. marker on a white board just draw over it with dry erase marker and it will come right off.
If you look at the "Presents:" box on the BNGR Whiteboard, it says "The Denpa Men: They Came"
When playing the demo, I could only find one Denpa Man for an entire session. After that, I searched and searched all over the house and found nothing, but not without cutting off every 10 seconds because there was no Denpa Men in the area. Does this only happen in the demo, or do I really have to go beyond the boundaries of my house? It's just that I can't drive, I have a long drive way and I don't want to go out and about just for a video game!

I got the first game almost as soon as it came out when I was four yes I had a daycare filled with gamer babies but anyway this is one of my favorite 3 ds games ever however I think the 3rd is the best

I vaguely remember some of this game as i got a demo for it on the eshop all the way back in 2012. I should honestly revisit it if it’s still on the eshop. Kinda surprised it isn’t talked about more.

I actually downloaded the demo, I like the game but the lack of overworld kinda killed it a bit for me, I love exploration and NPCs personally. But if enough support will get the squeal over here I may get the game in full.
Hey, those denpamen in the promo vid are near Venice :) I like going to that theatre.
I think JRPGs are awesome. Sure,I find them frustrating and slow,but there's some charm behind that...God,I need some Final Fantasy,like right now!
I'm happy to hear the sequel has an overworld, I felt that was a missing but much needed feature aswell.
That said, I really enjoyed this game. I think I have a new franchise to support

You mentioned that you thought ttyhe Mega drive versions code was just ported to the GBA. It kinda was. The source code for sonic had been lost apparently and the people who made this game had nothing to use as a reference

I never beat the second to last boss, that ice fly thing. VERY unfair. I was even 5 levels above the recommended level to be at! I ALSO had 2 revive Denpa Men, and the rest were types it was weak to!

Next time I buy a point card I'll get this game. I almost got it earlier because I really enjoyed the demo, but then they had to release a new version of cave story. (Gets me every time)
BTW it would be awesome to see a review for "Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland" because there are only a few reviews out there for that title. (good luck finding a copy)

It is actually a suggestion about Wario, Could you do a review of the Wario Land Series, to see which one you liked most? My favorite is Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land 1. Last Sunday 10-07-2012 was my birthday.
The Colosseum games and revolution are amazing to me. I loved them, and all the denpa men games. I hope they make more denpa men games and Pokemon console games. hopefully a mainstream one too
