    Thank you. That is a simple but important test. So, I remove some top soil first, and see how deep it is. If only a couple if inches or centimeters and clay underneath, then, once top soil removed, it should be okay to hold water?

      Yes.
      If it has a good amount of clay, then it should be able to hold water for aquaculture purposes.
