WC Hoppers! BNSF ACe! CN M394 - 3034E at Stewarttown - April 22, 2024

This was honestly one of the best trains that I've caught on the Halton sub! CN M394 runs through Stewarttown in glorious morning light run after sunrise. It went through Aldershot before 6 AM, but got held up at Tansley by CN A421 for a while which allowed me to chase it up here in daylight. Leading the train are two Gevos, with 3034 sounding it's K5HL horn at the crossing. Near the end of the train is a rare BNSF ACe on the Halton sub, with BNSF 8476 on either side of two short cars that really showed it off! However the best part of this train was the load, with a massive 192 cars. Highlights include a line of 14 Wisconsin Central Hoppers, a Boston & Maine hopper, a green boxcar and a few green & red BN Hoppers. Seeing WC Hoppers, especially several in a line is a rare sight these days, and I'm getting more and more interested in filming old freight cars!
