It would be nice if they could locate a soundboard of Elvis's last concert. I have an audience recording of fair quality but a soundboard would be great!
I think they still have lots of complete sessions to go. They more than likely have more home recordings, rehearsals, and soundboards to release. I think they will hold very rare new discoveries for the main label.

You are right the FTD releases are fantastic. But to be honest like I have said before I have ten FTD releases all on cd, but don't think I'll be getting anymore anytime soon. The prices are just getting ridiculously high and to me there just not worth it . By the time you buy the cd and than pay shipping you are paying $40 - $80 for each release depending on how many cds there are in it. And I have one FTD book and it's great i bought it new on sale but still paid around $80. I think there just comes a time where enough is enough or should I say I feel like FTD are just taking us for all the money they can get. But again that's how I feel , and I'm not knocking anyone for buying FTDS . To each there own anyone is free to spend as much as they want on anything they want.
You're right, prices are too high! 20 euros or Dollars will be the right.

I think FTD started out as a great idea with the best of intentions as I was on board with the very first release, but over the years they release so many items (CDs, books, LPs) multiple times per year that it seems to have a hint of “cash grab” to it. I would say they still have lots of concerts to release, along with more Session sets.

I think FTD could release his entire catalog.
An example King Creole LPM 1884 in its original design with bonus photo, King Creole LSP 1884 in its original design, etc.
Both as CD and LP

Hopefully FTD will carry on for a long time yet. I do have all the CD'S and have to admit some of the soundboard releases are poor and not worth the money but obviously these are aimed at the collector and at times you feel a little ripped off. Personally I would like to have seen more concentration on the 7 inch CD Releases like the soundtrack Albums. Elvis In Concert springs to mind. I'm a little disappointed this has not been released by FTD on their 7 inch releases. I feel these type of Albums should have priority over soundboard releases. There is quite a bit of material recorded from Elvis In Concert so maybe we have to wait until 2027 to celebrate it's 50th Anniversary. So there you go Mark, we have FTD until at least 2027 😂 Oh by the way, I'll give you 20 Quid for that Change Of Habit book 😂😂
I love the 2/3 cd sets but at £50 each it’s a lot of money mark take care bud
I think with all the soundboards, sessions, books, cd releases and vinyl they probably have enough material for the next 40 years!

Three years back, a lot of their releases were available. Now only a few releases are available. For some reason their catalog is way smaller and most of their releases are deleted.
There was a fire at the European manufacturing plant in 2021 were FTD is produced and many FTD titles were destroyed. The majority of their back catalogue is unlikely to be reproduced. While some items that sold well are having a second run, those apparently will be limited. So if you have FTD CDs or Vinyl copies, hang on to them, they will become like Gold in a few years. Indeed many FTD CDs have become collectors items already and will in the future only increase in price. Stay safe & go well.
I lost interest on the CDs. So many live concerts nowadays. They still great. Listening the older stuff. I would like to see From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee FTD LP release. Would be cool.
Hi Mark, l have heard that a new FTD LP is being released in February. I think it might be Harem Holiday or Fun In Acapulco. It will be a first if l am right! Don’t forget that we have Elvis On Tour CD/DVD Box Set being released this month, with Elvis Live 1972 on March 23rd on LP. With out all the Bootlegs be released on CD and LP. I think it was nothing but a cash grab and an outrage 👹when they released the three CD box set of Aloha from Hawaii last yr. Vice waiting one more yr and doing a full blown Golden Anniversary celebration and release. How short sighted.👎

From what I understand, FTD will be over and done with within 2 years , save for the hundreds of concerts, soundboards, reel and AR recordings.
They made us buy the original soundtracks on FTD, then the Lp’s, now the Session sets ???
Ya see, there’ll always be some of those who will want EVERYTHING and double dip, but for the average Joe, can we really purchase all this material over again with some only containing 12 more minutes of scattered content ??? You decide …
Once the “Elvis On Tour” craze settles down, it’ll come to an eventual end. I’m grateful to them for giving us what we originally wanted, but now other priorities have to take place in real life. Cheers.

Hi Mark. I hope they have something left in the Vaults. Especially the Houston shows at the rodeo in 1970 and 74! Was only Elvis and the band and backup singers! But……. Will see.
Would love to see more soundtracks on FTD vinyl.

@@seandarcy7651 Sean, A Soundboard Recording is made when the concert is professionally recorded Direct from the Mixing Desk, (sometimes called the Mixing Console). Soundboard recordings are a superior recording as the sound is coming directly from the stage into the mixing desk. Audience recordings have imperfections due to the nature of the unprofessional recording of them. All of Elvis' live recordings made by RCA back in 1970s were from the mixing desk. Still waiting for the entire Follow That Dream soundtrack in Stereo. So far only the Angel master and various alternate takes have been. They say the stereo masters have been lost or stolen. I bet there is someone out there who has that stereo master reel in their attic.

I have given up on the FTD releases. At around $50 too much for my blood. Have bought several of the books, pricey, but ALL have been very well done.
