Firstly, they hate him because he joined the Outcast and became an enemy of the COG, so he technically betrayed the family, who are proud fighters of the COG. Secondly, Gary isn't their brother. He's too much of a fanboy of Clayton to be a sibling, especially since all we know of the unknown fourth brother is that he is the second oldest of them, with Clay being the oldest. Also he is just too young to be his brother as well. He is young enough to be his son or nephew though. But with how he doesn't call him Dad, despite loving him so much, making him more likely to be his nephew and is the brother of Lizzie Carmine, making Clayton his uncle. And since Anthony and Ben are dead long before the kids' birth, the only valid father to them is the fourth brother.
They dislike him because he betrayed the loud and proud family fighters of the COG by becoming an Outsider, also he is not a brother, he's a cousin, he's too young to be a brother, it also wouldn't make sense since Lizzie is Clayton's niece and Clayton only has one other brother (D.
