I liked it, but I'm a long time fan, so there's some bias there, heidke is pronounced like hide-key. She did write it, about experiencing and escaping depression (represented by the dancer on the pole). Quirky is very much Kate's style, her songs range from dead-pan comedy right through to full opera, and every combination in between.
Nico Varnava Ef could very well could win Eurovision one day but not this year while they know how to work a crowd working all those cameras is new to them and they a big part of it too
Storm + La Forza = Zero Gravity. It's 5th in the odds so it should do better than Jessica's 20th place last year. The song's kinda growing on me plus the staging is fun & dangerous cause either of them could fall off and die.
I used to like the song, bu the staging ruined it all. As soon as you start questions like "what's the guy doing in the back" or you need any explanations regarding the staging - the performance is doomed. Or does anyone really belief that millions of people from Portugal to Russia, from Iceland to Israel are digging into solving riddles and searching for the deeper meaning of a presentation? The only thing what may come into their minds is: Haven't we seen this kind of tower-/mountain dresses before. They will recall Estonia 2018, Russia 2018 and Moldova 2013. Kates staging looks like circus act, that totally distracts from the song. She is tied to her high stand and therefor extremely limited in her movements. Because of that she did have some issues with her singing, breath control and timing. Although she sings about zero gravity, she obviously struggles with gravity throughout the entire performance. Kate Bush never ever had chosen such a bad staging. Australia has to find a more restrained and balanced staging that supports the song, but does not overshadow the singer and song. Just like Kate Bush does...
That is what Toy commented about. The song has such a big potential and the performance is on the border of being a circus. It is a shame as Toy thinks the song is wonderful.

This will qualify with ease - it's about her post-natal depression with the tormentor behind her being the depression then her coming out of it into the light. Not felt like this way since Netta which I knew was a winner as soon as I heard it. I feel similar about this.

No it was not. It was discovered to kill bacteria by Alexander Fleming (a Scot) in London but was developed for use as a treatment by Cecil Paine and then later refined further by Howard Florey, both in the UK. Howard Florey was an Australian (woohoo go Aussie) but worked in Oxford, UK.

I truly like Kate. she reminds me of Kate Bush and is definately a unique vocalist. I feel she needs a different choreography, but the song is good and interesting and so is she.
I think this song and many of past years are trying too much to be bold in the Eurovision and instead of solid songs we get yodeling and Snow White singing which aren’t bad but they forget its music and should be enjoyable.
Karl t Although Electric Fields would’ve been a great entry, the back up vocals they heavily relied on in the chorus and throughout the rest of the song aren’t allowed in Eurovision so it would’ve been an entirely different sound in the live performance in Israel. Plus, the back story behind zero gravity is really empowering, in my eyes it could win based off its uniqueness and vocal prowess. The staging is also being changed for the performances in Israel (which she revealed on the project) due to too many people comparing it to Russia and Estonia. I really hope they supply a big budget for the changes so Australia does better this year.
