My mom is from this area and I grew up visiting Branson several times a year and still do. The ferris wheel in the middle of town by Ripley's is definitely not Silver Dollar City, it's just a giant ferris wheel. Silver Dollar City is located just outside of Branson on Indian Point by Table Rock lake.
RV'd there many years ago. Saw great Jim Stafford show. Ate at a restaurant with a funny trick on diners. As they were eating, their table began to sink. Loved the town!
I currently live in Branson. Moved here from the San Diego area. 2 very different places but I love it here. So calm and so many friendly people. My parents lived here which is why I moved out here during COVID. On a side note, my brother used to live at the resort you stayed at. It is a really nice area. Also side note side note, silver dollar city is like a small town on its own and about 3-4 miles outside Branson. You should check it out next time you're in the area.
I loved that 5 & 10 store! Reminds me of going to Woolworth’s and Kress’s when I was a little kid back in the 60s. I’ve never been to Branson but would like to go in the off-season to avoid the crowds and heat.
Nic’s comments are funny! Your video style is the best. Showing snippets of the way there and stuff along the way. Hotel reviews etc. you have it down for sure. Unfortunately I am getting nothing done because I keep watching your videos. 😆
Thank you for the amazing views of Branson, we’ve been thinking of checking it out. I agree with you on extra charges it’s a pain, we were just at Niagara Falls and found the same thing. They made us pay an extra 35 bucks to park in the hotel’s parking lot total bs if you ask me, then the hidden room fees. Just be up front hotels. Enough of that Branson looks worth a visit. Your videos are getting better each one, keep up the great job your doing, I see you getting more comfortable as the adventure continues. Safe travels to the both of you.
@@JoeandNicsRoadTrip I’ll bet it looks amazing and it looks like they have a little something for everyone.I had a friend back in 1991 who went to Branson to start up a business.
A born & bred Irish guy here. I came across your Channel last week and i love it; places I'll never probably be, even though I've been to the States, a few times. Thanks for sharing your Journey.
I lived here about a year. If you have a decent job or work from home it's great city to live but if your blue collar you will struggle. Rentals are scarce, affordable family homes even more so. Most of the population live in motels, alot of drug and theft problems
Love it . Watching this on Christmas day ..hi watch out what you say about Grey hairs ..joke guys .. love it in the old city .that old whiskey bar looked great and the 5 and dime ..also the remarks about the hotels you've got that good ..very important to us .visitors to The USA ..
The Titanic exhibition is said to be haunted, or so says Ghost Adventures guys, as there are a few actual artifacts in there, which have spirits attached to them from the Titanic passengers who did not survive the sinking. I used to go there, alot, when the kids were little {Titanic wasn't there, yet). We were living in South Central Missouri at the time. Speaking of parking, I sure do hope you two can make it to Eureka Springs, a lot less gray hairs, and a whole lot more fun.
Apparently, there is a business boom in Branson right now. However the city was just slammed by those tornadoes. Are you guys okay? Did you guys just miss them?
Yes, I agree with you both about extra charging. for one thing, one would think they (resort management) would appreciate off season guests and why do that extra charging thing! Resort management there definitely has their heads up their behinds on that! Because during peak season they sure wouldn't pull "extra charges" on guests. People could pull out of there and say @#!$% you! Indeed.
How I used to love JD (Jack Daniels) until I found out that it's made in China. I don't have anything personally against that country having traveled to China in my younger days, I'm over 76, and was treated very well. JD used to give me a nice buzz now that stuff don't taste like it did when it was made in the USA. I only drink JD if my kids give it as a gift. Too bad; I used to really love 'Mr. Daniels.' Now I drink 'Mr. Smirnoff.'
Branson isn't such fun, if you have to drive around making service calls. The old joke about Stone County is that you could be killed for a six-pack of beer, and once you get off 76, it's probably still true.
We have watched and enjoyed your videos for awhile now, but it seems that you are spending more and more time having your meals almost exclusively in bars, bragging about how much you enjoy your booze, and your language tends to drift into being a little dicey lately. We are not holy rollers, but if our young people are sometimes watching videos with us, there are certain things we are not comfortable exposing them to, so we are unsubscribing from your videos.

Thanks, keyup. Branson looks like a lot of fun for a summer visit. It would take 2 weeks to do everything there is to do there.

We are leaving for Branson after Labor Day. We went there many years ago. I love it there. Great video !! 🤗👍👍👍👍👍

Ain't that the truth about grey hairs, JD. Mine gets grayer by the day. I hope you had a great Christmas!
Ooh ooh big pool wow love it thanks for the feedback
Now I gotta visit!!
I live just north of there. Springfield Missouri. I've Been going down there since I was a kid. Went to Silver Dollar City in the early 60s.
That was just some cheap carnival that you passed and not Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar City is huge and on the outside of town about five miles
A lot of nice statue's and old buildings
Happy weekend everybody!
Happy weekend to you as well, Tasos!!
@@JoeandNicsRoadTrip thanks ❤
Always wondered what Branson looked like!
Love you guys. Take it easy on the Jack, that stuff killed my friend, and it almost killed me.
WoW lot's to do there. Good edit Great video
I am a big big big BeeGees fan also!!!!
Nice video!
Especially if you’re on a tight budget and with kids....it adds fast
SDC is down the hill from 76.

Oh, and take s stroll down Branson Landing. Very busy in the Summer.
PS. Stop by the Crescent Hotel. It's haunted, too.
Pigeon Forge TN has a Titanic museum that looks just like that one. I wonder how many of those are around the country?
Branson looks like another tourist TRAP
Us ozarkian if penned down withl admit they're hills. But we like them and it what we got.
Apparently, there is a business boom in Branson right now.

Yeah, Brandon just got a lot of rain. We encountered tornado weather in Little Rock, however. We were in the edge of that storm that hit Kentucky.
Thank God you're okay.
Did you go to Silver Dollar City? The Farris wheel and that area is NOT SDC. We enjoy your videos.

Been to Branson 4 or 5 times and we love it, but had no idea all us gray hairs were in the way.

Are you sure? We're going to Lynchburg, Tennessee next month so I'll see if that’s true or not. Hope not! If so, I’ll have to stop drinking it. 😢
The catholic crusader is mistaken. Still made in Lynchburg. It’s a Tennessee style of whiskey and not a bourbon.
@@markhuether7744 Thanks, Mark. This time I'm glad for being wrong. I just loves me some JD!
JD is made in America! You be scarin the daylights outta folks. However, Mr. Smirnoff works quite well!
I HAVE A TIME SHARE IN BRANSON. SILVER DOLLAR CITY IS 5 MILES EAST OF BRANSON. NOT ON 76.

I love your videos but, my friend, please don't call native American women squaws. The native people consider it a derogatory term.
