- Your products are the merchandise that you sell. You add a product in Shopify by entering product details manually or use a CSV file to do this bulk. If you have a large number of products to add to your Shopify store, using a CSV file can save you time.

how we can assign multiple collections for products using import technique?
Hi, Hassan! Thanks for your question. Using this method, you can add a product to only one collection. Check out this help document for more details: shopify.link/qKGQ.
How can I put weather this is for my online store or for my Shopify pos
Do I need to edit one by one ?????
Hi, there! Using a CSV file you can edit whether products are published to the 'Online store' sales channel. This is done using the 'Published' column as explained here: shopify.link/0dQr. To manage the availability of products for any additional sales channels, you'd need to do this right within the Shopify admin. You can use the product bulk editor to manage this: shopify.link/2jx6.
the sample CSV download does not work for me, instead it opens string text in a new tab. I am on MacBook
Hey there! Can you try downloading the sample CSV through the link on this page (shopify.link/e7RM)?

If I have to add multiple collections against one product via csv file
Hi there, Mian! Thanks for your comment! Did you have a question about using CSVs to upload product data, specifically around if you can use a product CSV to add products to a specific collection? We'd just like to be sure of your question, just so we can make sure the information we're providing you is relevant!
@@ShopifyHelpCenter yes I am trying to upload with CSV file. Everything is working. But I am unable to add a single product in multiple collections.
@@ShopifyHelpCenter let's say I have one product and wanted to add two add them in two different collection via csv
This is a limitation of the product CSV file: shopify.link/Ay5N. To add a product to multiple collections, try using the bulk editor after the products are imported: shopify.link/mkjW.
Hey, I dont know if anyone told you this or not, You look Good!

I dont know if anyone told you or not, this is an educational video
CRINGE MAN
Hii I don't know if anyone told you can his or not but you are illegitimate child
This video is ridiculous. It leaves out KEY STEPS. Yes you have upload your product images to Shopify to create an image URL. However you do not JUST upload them to the Shopify. That is the first step. You then have to go to the content section where the images live and have been uploaded to and look for the image for each product, find the URL and then copy that URL and then go back to the CSV spread sheet and paste the accompanying image URL in the correct image column on the correct row for that product (they are no where near each other on the spread sheet). You do this for every product you are uploading to the store. If you follow these instructions none of the images would upload. And heads up there is no file management system in Shopify: no folders, nada, so you best be sure you have a very strict naming convention if you hope to be able to find the images in a reasonable amount of time. Conveniently left all this out of the video.
She then says "fill out all these fields" Um OK what is body HTML? Where do you get that information from? Conveniently left all this out of the video. When you look at the final check screen before final upload there is a description for the product--where did THAT come from? I did not see this in the spread sheet. Again conveniently not explained. This is supposed to be helpful? You do realize this is supposed to be designed for people new to Shopify, right?
