I have a pair of mountain extremes and I couldn’t begin to tell you how great they feel on my feet!! If you could imagine, if you will, a whole family of kittens cuddled up around your foot to keep warm during the winter time… That is how good these boots feel around your foot!! I worked 30 years in the construction Industry and I have no idea how much money I spent on boots nor how many pairs of boots I had, but these are the absolute, tiptop, the absolute best I’ve ever had in my life, and you’ll forget the sticker shock within the first 30 seconds after putting on these boots and you will not regret them one iota !!!!!
I’ve got a pair of 10” meindl’s and they have good durability but not great lifespan. I’m about to repair they’re sole right now as it is separating after two years. Next pair of boots is kennetrek Guide extremes or Danner thorofare.
Offer some larger/wider sizes and your customer base will grow. I was looking for boots last fall, could NOT find a 14 W offering from Kenetrek. No money went that direction.
There is a reason Kenetrek, and pretty much every company doesnt offer sizes like that. If there was money there they would. There isnt. Dont act like there is ...
I have a fused right ankle and have a hard time finding boots that don't have a lot of heel rise. Ankle fusion is done at a 90 degree and this make it difficult when most boots have a fair amount of heel rise. I will destroy cheap boots rather quickly. I will wear out the right boot twice as fast as the left boot. I will have the right side of the heel wore out in a week and have the boot twisted. Any suggestions?
I need a QUALITY boot and I need 2 IMPORTANT THINGS.... extremely waterproof and a wide fit.....o yea 8-10 inch hight.... what boot would work maybe a little insulation wouldn't hurt.... thanks
Randy, Is there a Kenetrek boot you would recommend for Texas Hillcountry hunting? Temps 20-60 degrees, time of year is Nov & Dec. Relatively flat to rolling with some rock (limestone) but, with cactus and mesquite. I don’t plan to hunt the mountains of Colorado or Montana. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Boots: Find a good brand, Crispi, Kenetrek, Meindl, etc....then find the ones that fit you best. For me? Meindl. Your mileage WILL vary. I understand Randy is sponsored, by a damn good company no less....but try different boots!!! The suck bit of all of them? Welt soles....great for some things, but in the end? NOT rebuildable. If you use them a lot? The leather and liner will be fine, the sole will be shot and you can't replace it. Bitch at these companies to go back to stitched soles so we can actually get some mileage out of them! They're all good boots...sans the welt soles and how they fit YOU. Edit: I have a pair of Danner logging boots. Not the most comfortable I own, and like all Danner, they squeak when I walk. But? Have owned them longer than any boot simply because they have a stitched and therefore replaceable sole. 2 sets so far.
@@thedaventure That is..impressive. I will look harder at Kenetrek when my 2 sets of Meindl wear out. If they can rebuild Welt soles, they are on top of the game.
Crazy idea, dont be a prick. Dont buy these online man, email the manufacturer direct If you cant find a store that sells them around you. Its worth every penny to get your boot fitted!
I know sportsman's Warehouse sells kenetrek and they have the mountain extreme here in Sheridan. If you got a sportsman's in your area, you might check there.
I have never tried kenetrek, just crispi and lowas. so far I am happy with my crispis but I do need to try kenetrek to see if they are better or more comfy.
Love my Kenetreks. They took a few miles to break in but now they are awesome. Bought a few new pairs of backup boots that ran around $100-150 at the same time 2 years ago. Ready to throw those in the trash and grab another pair of Kenetraks. You may understand already by picking up a good high quality pair of boots. Ive never tried Crispis, but have been tempted.
my poor feet, wish I could afford these boots, o well I guess us poor folk have to suffer from head to toe! why I keep looking at boots I can't afford , I truly must be a masochist.
I too am a poorfag. You cant afford not to get a good boot. By the time you go through a pair of Irish Shitters every year, in 3 years you could've paid for a pair of Kenetrek Mtn Extremes. Save up however long it takes. Dont skimp on boots or packs.
These dont really make sense to me. Must be missing something. For the money id rather get a nice leather boot that is resole-able. Youre up in the price range of Nicks or Whites

Excellent video - much appreciated
Mountain extreme my new boots...senior center 65$...I'm happy to have purchased...
Man, beautiful mountains around the 2 minute mark. Where is that?
I just ordered both pairs I trust Randy!
Mountain Guide...ankle and load carrying support and general anti-body fatigue is unbelievable, greatest boots in my opinion, ever.

Just my mountain guide boots. Can’t wait to try them out this year.
Would love to hear your opinion on this boot.
I think it's the Kenetrek guide for me. I thought boots with the full rand would always be more durable than a boot without one though?

Are they good for hiking??
Probably overkill for your purposes, but yes.
They make a 6" ankle one as well that might suit your needs better for hiking

Hmmm. I use my Non-insulated Mountain Guide anywhere cactus may be encountered.

If Kenetrek made a boot in 6E width, I'd be ALL OVER IT! Sadly, I can never buy the boots I want because of this requirement.
