Love that arpeggio in the original and you did a fantastic job carrying that over. I frickin love how well you use that VRC6 expansion chip in your arrangements, great stuff as always.
Chapter 2 spoilers: (i know its early, shut up, better safe than sorry) I was so brainfucked when it turned out it was a dream. I thought it was what the old lady menat by things you arent ready to see with the memorial being weird. Update: I beat the game. I had only gotten to the end of Chapter 3 by the time i wrote this. Now i have beaten the game. This is still the best music
so, i actually knew it was a dream almost immediately. The reason was that when you read the stone thing next to where you wake up its all gibberish in the dream, which is what happens when you try to read in a dream in real life, dreams aren't coherent enough to make text make sense under close inspection usually or consistent ever. It was a super cool little detail and I felt awesome when it turned out I was right.
@@SuperGamersgames I felt the same way, it was a great little moment. Honestly, I think that is a great example of why so many of the greatest games in recent memory are indie games, because as cool as scope or graphics or anything else can be, what makes games like this great is that they just OOZE with passion. It's the people who love the games that they make that make the greatest games.
@@yoissy To add to that, most indie developers started making their games out of passion not in search of business. A lot of what makes indie games so great is they are "from gamers for gamers". And some of the passion comes from old memories like some of the games I've made of recent use a pixel art style because I grew up with the gameboy (admitly I was late to it the trend but my 8 year old brain was so excited about games in my pocket during 2009) with games like Super Mario Land 2, Tetris, and this one weird Shrek fighting game that for life of me I can't remember is called. :P
@@yoissy actually for me, glitchy stuff dreams are normal, and I can actually read glitch languages, although it’s hard to translate them into normal understandable language for humans. I also know that my best friend MAGIQCAT knows enderman language.
listening to this again and i LOOVE that you used the mirror breaking music as the transition between the regular and "dreaming" versions, especially with the backing music getting a bit glitchy at 2:07 as it speeds up to make the transition even cooler, ,
Interesting that you chose to do only the first and second movement of the Resurrections Music (without the talking to Madeline's ~Part of her~ or the chase sequence). I guess it was probably because it would have been to long otherwise, since most of your videos are around 3 or 4 minutes. Great arrangement as always though :) Love the little details
Wow this was one of my favorite songs from the original soundtrack and hearing it re-imagined is wonderful, it just makes me want to finish chapter 9 now!
Weirdly, wasn't much into this track upon first hearing it. After actually playing Celeste though, I've come back and this track and cover are bangers, great job!
Amazing arrangement! Congratulations!! 👏🏽🎉 Please, could you make an arrangement for the 3rd part? Pleeease?? 🙏🏽🙏🏽 😄 I would be happy to hear that from you! ^^ Anyway, thanks for this amazing arrangement 😄. Take care and see you soon! Byee!! ^^/ 👋🏽
Gripe about the background: You used the accurate green fire for this section, but the stars should be all blurry, with rainbow colors, and sinking constantly toward the ground. The graphic used for them here is the graphic when she's awake.
2:09 I love that transition too much!
Its really good

"I'm *Part Of You*... the pixelated part"
I love that the piano is at the top with notes going out of it, because they’re being synthesised
awesome as always, the background visuals make this one even better
Reminds me of the PICO-8 days.
Hell yeaaaaah! My fav of the a-side soundtracks, and it sounds so nice!!! Good job!

This is really well done. Any chance you could try something from Castlevania? The series is so good, and its music would work awesome in your style.
cool, the white notes in the second half are like the badeline whoosh sound effects
This is so sick. This was my favorite track off of the album and you did a great job covering it!
I love it!
Can you do 'Confronting Myself' or is it too hard to cover? I'd like to hear it in your style

Damn. I love the chase part
The celeste soundtrack is such a different mood in 8 bit you did a great job
That's fantastic! Really sinks in and gives you those feels man. Love what you do Branflakes! It's really awesome to hear your 8-bit covers!
Holy crap that triangle bass drum
It doesn't sound like an 8-bit voice to me lol
This has got to be one of my favorite video game pieces of all time
This is such a jam dude. Good work.

Good luck ;)
Ah dammit, getting chills again. This game was incredible
I love this. I would love to see more of the celeste songs done !
I love how you keep playing all the songs you recreate 2 times and always add a spin on the second run.
Pretty sure thats just a part of the song. In fact, this song has like 2 other parts to it not shown here, which mainly consist of the chase sequence.
The transition to before/after the mirror breaking legitimately gave me goosebumps
That's pure crystal !! Beautiful !!
Pristine bby mmmmmmmmm
Definitely have to go finish Celeste now
the entire game, but with an 8 bit soundtrack
I love this too much for words excellent job
One of my favorite tracks on the OST. Thank you so much for making this.
Thx for making this 8 bit remix I love it😋
I just bought this game last week, it's so good.

It’s great. I only wish it included the second half of the song.

Wait, where’s the chase?

This song is very nice.
Although, it does remind me of MAGIQCAT’s pink soul, on how creepy it is.
feel like this would be part of changeds ost

Anyway to peep this on Spotify?
Do you plan on doing chase as well?
Yo the description still has Maddy Thorson's deadname in it, it'd be sick if you could fix that :)
