Check out the video description for a list of supplies and plants!
Dock is another name for the sorrel and I grow the wild green type all over my yard and garden. I like the young leaves cut up an added to red beans and bean burritos as well as mixed in with my other garden greens when cooked! I bought some seeds of the type with the red veins didn't get any to sprout. :(
Some people call sorrel/dock, "lemon spinach".
What a brilliant awesome idea looks great ❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Lots of really great ideas that I will incorporate into my mini pond. The solar light is a great idea! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I think I would put a submersible light in the mini pond so you can see your rice fish at night
Great idea
GRATITUDE💥🐟💥
You are so welcome
Sweet little container pond!
I love it!
Get you some water spinach to grow and eat. I love this summer green.
Yes, that’s a winner, Already planning the edible pond !
I eat a lot of wild greens and bought the green water celery to grow.
Thanks! They look great
Glad you like them!
Really great video, thanks. I think the hooks are a fantastic way to add plants - no more bricks for me:) And thank you for mentioning acorus because I have some with no id - yep I've got some sitting in pots in part shade - into the tub it goes! Nice adding the rocks and java moss, driftwood, and the solar light - looks really good. Looking forward to making mine look better! My other goal this year: add an overflow hole and some mesh.
You are so welcome! I bet yours will turn out fabulous!
Great video. Where do you get the plastic hooks from and barrel?
Check out the description
Can you try growing purple hearts on your mini pond or aquarium?
The purple inch plant (tradescantia zebrinus) grows well. Some people have success with Purple Heart (tradescantia pallida) but I have not personally.
How do you setup the planters? Is it an inch of soil and then couple inches of gravel? Are there holes in the planter? If so, are you scared of the soil leeching into the water?

Hope this helps!
Quick question... how do u fight hydroponics root rot?
I don’t really have that problem, only had root rot occasionally with certain plants but not very often
Sometimes when Transitioning the plants from soil to water, but the method in this video works quite well on a wide variety of plants
U use any fertilizer for house plants in aquarium?
Sometimes yes, just depends on how many fish are producing waste. Some times I use liquid aquarium plants fertilizer if needed.
And root tabs for the ones growing roots all the way down in the substrate
What was the name of this plastic thing which you use for cover aquarium? I Remember I saw it in one of your videos. I cannot find it. I want to buy it for some cover in my small pond for covering from excessive sun
Polycarbonate greenhouse panel.
