Came out great! Thanks again, that flight may have changed Callie’s outlook on flying, I think she could relate more with you! Keep the great videos coming, this channel rocks with !you!
That was really well done! Thank you. It's all about you interacting with the owners and their planes. Please keep driving the conversations! The personal touch makes such a difference😊
What a great UA-cam channel! You interviewed my friend Mike! I've known him for many years and had no idea he flew remote control planes until only a few years ago. And then wouldn't you know, he buys a real airplane! Talk about making your passion for flying into a reality! I had a big smile on my face watching you guys fly together! 😎
Outstanding video!! Bobby has had Reklaw videos before and this is my favorite. Love your style, including how you talked to Callie! Great job and yes, thanks for taking us along. Always wanted to be a GA pilot, just couldn't justify the expense and now probably too old, so I love these videos!
Really enjoyed how you taught a new girl how to fly. No pressure, just showing the fun part of flying. Never got my license, but Dad always had someone to take in the plane when he needed it. I did some flying but enjoyed it better with someone that really knew how to fly was doing it. Especially when Dad was shooting down German fighters, and we got the overspeed buzzer.
Great job Emma. I also loved the advice you gave Callie - Don't let anyone pressure you into to learning to fly if your heart isn't in it. As a low time instructor in the land down under, I've already seen this problem arise with young students being pushed by parents.
Great video, so cool you took that young lady up for a flight and have her some great instruction. I’m sure having someone other than her dad and especially a lady was a blast for her.
You seem to have a really good perspective. Not only a good, gentle instruction, but also a good life counselor. I had a good CFI, but a lot of my friends would have been better off with you!
I trained in a 1973 C172 with a 180 HP powerplant, constant speed prop and performance exhaust. May I say the first time I soloed it climbed like a rocket. Haha! Looks like you had a wonderful time. I have not flown since 2007. Medicals are harder for me to get these days...sucks...
Some very good words of wisdom. Although they didn’t fly their plane to the event Flying Sparks Garage and their family camped the weekend in one of their videos.
Mike did a great job flying the airplane when things didn't go perfectly. It reminded me of when I lost a brand new pair of expensive sunglasses back in the late 1990s. I was looking back for my flying buddy and got my head outside of the little Pober Pixie's windshield. GONE, just like that!
Thanks for the compliment. It was two years ago when a friend on his way to Reklaw in his Champ lost his cell phone out the window while taking a picture of a friends house. The friend was actually able to locate the phone and brought it to him at Reklaw the next day. It was not damaged. Totally unbelievable stuff.
@mikekopf1173 Mike, you have a nice airplane. I haven't seen very many with the steel tube fuselage. Blue skies and tailwinds... You and Emma had a great "first passenger" flight! 👍🏼👍🏼
After my first time at Reklaw, it was always my goal to get there in the Piet. Definitely a milestone flight in an open cockpit. Hope to see you there next year.
Lots of talk about this Pietenpol Air Camper, and that IS where this plane got it roots, but it's not a Pietenpol, even though many call it that. It's a Grega GN-1 Aircamper. John Grega sought to update the Pietenpol design from 1929-1933ish back in the sixties. The two planes look a lot alike and are very similar in many ways. A dead giveaway in the rear main landing gear strut attaching forward of the rear wing lift strut. That was done to allow using a Piper Cub gear. A true Pietenpol has a gear that attaches at the lift strut points. The Grega is also just a tad bit tighter in the cockpit.
Emma was there to have fun and interview pilots, and have a good time, and promote aviation, She is a damn good pilot, cut her some slack if she does not have the encyclopedia in front of her!
@@mikekopf1173Wow! I had no idea! I wonder if my Dad even knew that! It's sad he isn't here anymore. But he would still be real proud to see you flying it!
@@mgrant329 I feel like I am a custodian of history really. The plane just flies great. Someone else someday may get her but for now, I am proud to keep her going. I changed the paint job a little on the tail but all in good fun.
Just a thought. In a lot of these videos not just aircraft when people make a good landing talk about the weather they always seem to say " not bad " why not say that was a pretty good landing that is much more appropriate and reassuring to a person not familiar with flying. Like your videos and enjoy the variety of aircraft and commentary. In other words "pretty good".
You’re crushing the channel host gig. I like it now more than ever. You were the perfect person for the job. Congrats, seriously.
Loved how you were gentle with the young woman about the pursuit of flying and reinforcing its totally up to her and no pressure.
Great to see Mike slaying it in the pietenpol. Gem of a guy!
this was an amazing experience, thank you so much!
A charming and relaxing video. Nicely done, Emma! Cheers! 👍🙂

You obviously are a good instructor!
Emma: I really enjoy the episodes you host. You speak well - always calm and collected. It was a pleasure watching your episode!

Great video with some very good advice for that young girl..
First passenger, wow! You are brave.
Callie will be good pilot, she just does know how cool it is. Bobby, another great FD content creator. An encourager
What a Great video..... Guy with the Pietenpol will sure have a good story to tell about the first Pax! You are a gifted instructor Emma.
This is a very fun video, what a cool experience! Thanks for taking us along!
Great advice for new pilots!!!!!

You're a complete natural regarding all things aviation Emma. Well done.
Man, that Waco is beautiful. Emma even managed to throw in a
mini-lesson for an enthusiast! Nicely done.

It was cool to watch this be filmed! Great video! You landed that cub way better than I've ever seen it landed!
Whatever Jon! It was a good one!

Way cool episode. And a fun event. Hope we get more of the events, and able to maintain the new flights.
Wonderful!
That champ was the first aircraft I ever owned also the aircraft I got my tailwheel in. Great champ I’m going to miss it.
Great video, hopefully the girl will keep going with flying the beautiful Cub.
Good job. I enjoy watching the heart of general aviation.

I like episodes like this.
Nice guy, very humble

Emma is a fantastic host! Perfect mix of passionate (and skilled) aviator and great narrator. Very impressive!
Looks like a fun fly-in. That’s what it’s all about. Great job edit. It down too, but I wouldn’t complain if it was longer.
Great video! Keep up the good work

Fantastic presentation.
Great aircraft👍
Great job. I love what you are doing with the channel.
Great content, thanks! 🙂👍
Excellent way to introduce the next generation, in a J-3. You've go the right stuff to show the next generation that they have it too!

I’m working on a sport pilot license. Reklaw 2025!

Or, it could be a modified Piet.

It’s my plane, It is a Grega, but I get tired of explaining it all the time. The debate gets old.

Loved this as always! Hate that I missed it this year. Stupid work. Next time!
Hopefully there is a next year! Cross our fingers!
I have history with the Roe Piet
In the club.. a bit unnerving to realize the pilot hasn't really got any hours.... or did I miss something? Liking the new F.D.

Was that little Cougar at the end of this vid? Sure looked like him. I've always heard the Pipper Cub is the easiest plane to fly.
Very cool 😎 👌 👍🏻
Dig it!
