Tsinghua Univ Prof Yan Xuetong on China’s ties with India, US & fragmented digital economy

“It is possible that in the future, the world will have two internets -- one based in the US and the other in China,” said Yan Xuetong, well-known analyst of international affairs & Professor at Tsinghua University said at a webinar organised by the Institute of Chinese Studies. Prof Yan went on to distinguish two supply chains -- between US, Germany, Japan, Australia and India and the second between China, Russia, Pakistan and South Korea. “In the future, it is very possible that in a digital economy, the supply chain will not be divided regionally,” he added. In summery he said was
1.there will be a cold war but in cyberspace.
2. not many lives will be lost in this but contries might get bankrupt and people might get their lives destroyed but in new ways.
