I had the privilege to be in Lincoln at the time of the festival this year and the wide array of people I saw was spectacular. No two people looked the same which is the beauty of steampunk. I wholeheartedly hope to attend next year!

Brilliant video, it didn't show a fraction of the whole Asylum festival. There's lots more happening in the castle grounds & at the Bishop Grossteste University (wristbands needed though), there's also various evening events each night. Please be respectful of us steampunks if you come & visit the festival, we're there for our enjoyment not as entertainment, please ask us before photos/videos (channel poster is pretty respectful but if someone is covering their face, please stop filming them) we're usually more than willing if you say please :-)
Whitby steampunk in 40 years to some young whippersnappers: "in the old days we knew how to make our own fun! We'd take our vacuum cleaners and put 'em on our backs 'n' put on a crazy hat. That's all you needed, not like you kids these days with yer digital boots 'n' fitbit google goggles!

First time we have been to Lincoln steampunk festival. We loved it & will definately go again
