      Always funny how people mystisize life when they don't understand anything. God is just the word for everything. Everything is god, there is nothing that is not part of god. That doesn't help anyone though, really. That is exactly why religion is misguided. What helps people are healthy rituals and community, and those go along with religion. People unite for religion, because they can all communicate and understand. But it really doesn't explain anything. But then also, maybe it doesn't need to. Because the question is obviously part of a wondering mind.

    "I see God as independent on religions" that's the way I see God as well, and I think it was one of the best intellectual decisions I've made: to separate God from religions, and to separate religions' teachings and principles from people practicing, even though I'm still practicing the religion I was born to and learned from my parents, it's my own approach of it I guess, and still seeing religions as equals, the same way that people are equals. I think the idea of believing in God is more of a spiritual one rather than a logical/rational one, yet the best feeling you can ever experience throughout your journey.

    • @SA-kg5nb

      Hi Reem. This is an interesting concept. What do you mean that you believe God to be more of a spiritual one than a logical/rational one? I'm assuming you are Muslim. Did you experience a spiritual void when practicing the faith as is? Would love to get your thoughts.

      @@SA-kg5nb hello there! Sorry I just saw your reply now :') Yea according to what I've got from my parents I'm muslim, but I think my real faith in God has started just around two years ago, when I felt, for the first time, that God is answering my lifetime questions and showing me astonishing signs! I realised later on that I've been on a twinflame journey, which so many people of different religions are going through too, so now my belief has strengthened that God and spirituality is above all those minor outer differences between religions and sectors that people fight over, those practices are really similar if you look deep into their roots and are only tools to help us reach the highest goal of living God within us.

      @adrianna I dont think anyone really knows.. But maybe we see it as "punishment" sometimes because we see it only from our own perspective. Maybe when viewed from a perspective outside of ourselves we could see it as an effort to make us uncomfortable in our current situation so that we can be encouraged to let go of things that are no longer helpful to us to make space for new and exciting change. Although for me personally, change can definitely feel rough and even hurtful at times.

      I find it so sad how people not wanting to go against the world try to love the world and never tell them the Gospel...
      John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
      God is real whether people want to admit it or not. God promises to make himself known to whomever chooses to seek him out...
      The Gospel of salvation is below to whomever chooses to read...
      Adam and Even where made in God's perfect image and were given free will and all they were told is not to eat of the tree of good and evil... Satan deceived Eve and they were kicked out of the garden of Eden and were given fallen earthly bodies
      that we inherited through their fall nature. Thus inheriting a nature to sin... a sin nature.
      Romans 5:12-21 King James Version (KJV)
      12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
      13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
      14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
      15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
      16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
      17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
      18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
      19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
      20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
      21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
      This means Jesus Christ is our only Saviour and hope for life eternal. Anything else is a false hope.
      The Gospel ---->
      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
      2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
      4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthian 15:1-4
      according to the scriptures= Father/ Son/Holy Spirit is one God that came forth through a virgin birth as prophesied in Genesis, lived a sinless life in our place and took upon himself the sins of the whole world, died shedding His blood, was buried and rose again the 3rd day as the only risen saviour for mankind.
      10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
      11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
      12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
      13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. Hebrews 10:10-13 KJV
      You do know that God so loved the world... Past tense.... That he Gave His only Begotten son... To died for our sins...
      Meaning anyone that dies without believing this Gospel message, that Jesus personally died for their sins will end up in Hell!
      His blood is perfection that kept the law in our place. the only righteousness that was sprinkled on the mercy seat in heaven on our behalf, if we hear the Gospel and believe in our hearts... If we never tell people, their blood is on our heads when we get to heaven and we will suffer loss...
      Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:12
      The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation...
      18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
      19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
      20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
      21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
      22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
      23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
      24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
      25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
      26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
      27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
      28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
      29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
      30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
      31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 KJV
      Galations 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

    I'm crying right now. Life is hard. Everyday I constantly grapple with the fact that I don't know what I'm doing. I doubt my faith far more than I believe it and even when I do there's always a what if. I've always been afraid of sharing my thoughts about the world and life and being shamed for them because they are different and almost seem naive. I'm terrified of that sucking darkness that is true lonlieness while being desparate for some kind of belonging, some kind of love. You have no idea how relieved I am to hear that someone feels the same. You have reminded me I'm not alone. Thank you, thank God, so much.
    I am kind of growing weary of this tug-o-war of religion. I am Christian and happily so. I read the bible often, I do believe it holds the secrets to surviving life. I know it is not the be all end all because the true lessons are learnt whilst living with the people around you. (Oftentimes I find myself looking back through experiences and thinking, holy crap, so that's what that verse meant.) I am not devout, or perfect by the church's rules but I'm trying to become the best person I can be (a loving one)and I think that's all we can ask of anyone. I agree with your perception of God expressed in this video wholeheartedly.

    I come back to this everytime I feel that little tug on my heart. My dad passed away yesterday from COVID and was very close to god in his own way. He dedicated himself so much to the church, and although he got taken advantage for his kindness, he never said no. He did everything with so much love and opened his heart to everyone without hesitation. He worked himself to the ground and still dreamed deeply. He had big goals and was still studying his butt off while working two jobs to get a higher education. He was 62. I feel him, I ask god to help him find peace and I feel my heart warm and buzzing like if he's telling me he's found it don't worry.

Believing in Allah/God or whatever you may call it can help a lot regarding fear and motivation. But it does not necessarily mean that you have to follow your religion. I personally think that you don't have to follow religious rules because they are depending on your culture. The only thing that can ever be rather true is to believe in a higher power and let it help you. We don't always have to make things hard. Why not believe and feel less insecure?

    I love your channel. I believe many of the questions you are wrestling with, we all wrestle with. I also believe that MOST deep questions we have can be answered by God's inspired Word. Religion is a loaded word, just like "God." We all have our own preconceived notion of what those words mean. I think the 2 noblest pursuits we have as human-beings are to pursue a relationship with our Creator EVEN if we aren't sure of His existence and to love people genuinely. "If" God exists, there is no greater purpose than to know Him. People do exist, there is no greater purpose than to love them.

      @kamidsjournee 5 років тому +3

      Water Bottle the truth is, I believe God is real. For those who do not, I am giving the benefit of the doubt. If you are right and He is not, I’m out nothing; if I am right, and He is, you are out everything. Just my two-cents.

      @@waterbottle8692 It's like anything else we experiment with. If you try it and it doesn't give back to you, you turn to something else. As with God, you experiment to see if you can get to know him (believe in him). If he doesn't awaken your soul, you turn to something else. What I have found is that if most people truly seek God out, even if they don't believe in him he ends up transforming their lives. So, I guess it really isn't pouring your time and energy into something that may not be real. There is a confirmation from God that says "this is real." And I think that is why people continue to press into him the rest of their lives. Just my thoughts though. I thought your genuine question needed a genuine response.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts on God! I appreciate how transparent you were about your ideas and the amount of time you spend dwelling on the subject. If I may touch upon a few things you said:
    "It seems like a lot of people look to God to answer all of these impossible questions...what about the insane injustices that exist in this world? What about the suffering that occurs in all of our lives? Why do people have to die? I feel like I keep trying to add 1+1 and getting 5 or 6."
    And later you also said, "As far as I understand things there is no justice, no right or wrong: God is simply the way things move".
    One cannot reasonably doubt God on the basis that there is too much injustice in the world, while holding to the belief that there is no right or wrong, no justice. To believe God is unjust, one must believe that there is justice, which supposes by necessity that there is an absolute truth. To discount God on this basis, is to hold to another faith! Perhaps you yourself do not doubt God on the basis of injustice, but I thought I'd take the time to share since you clearly took time to put your thoughts out there in such a neat way!
    Also, a few of your statements touch on quite a bit of scripture!!! You called God your friend, which closely touches upon Jesus' words in John 15.15 when He says: "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you”; You also said that God knows only one word, "love", a hyperbole I assume though perhaps I’m wrong, and 1 John 4.8 reads, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”; and Finally you said that God is infinitely patient and indeed the Apostle Peter wrote, in 2 Peter 3.9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.
    Many of your ideas have been expounded upon in writings that have lasted two millennia, written and inspired by men whose belief in God and Jesus was so firm it trumped even their fear of death! They professed their message to be Jesus’ own, the same Jesus who no credible modern historian denies the historicity of, a man who’s life - regardless of what you believe - has had arguably the greatest impact on world history! Their writings exist in such large quantities, through such varied times, languages, and places, they easily surpass any other writing from antiquity in credibility - in other words, you can doubt what these men BELIEVED but not what they SAID (cough*or wrote*cough).
    This at the very least, for any thoughtful and inquisitive person, bears investigating! Reading these writings is like learning a new language! It opens up a whole new world of understanding, a system that has withstood time and culture! I have two suggestions: 1) Read the Bible! I understand if this seems daunting or terse, especially given its usual presentation, but I would recommend starting with the book of John or with Mark! John is super philosophical, Mark writes like a 15 year old and has a quick pace if you get bored easy! 2) If that is too much, I suggest reading Norman Geisler and Frank Turek’s book, “I Don’t have Enough Faith to be an Atheist”. It walks through the beliefs of a rational Christian faith - yes, rational can be used as an adjective to describe “Christian” and “faith”! Weird I know!
    Anyways, thanks again for sharing.
    Sincerely.

      The Bible and Qu’ran are OVERTLY racist, homophobic and sexist. I was devoted fully to being a Christian and a Muslim, until I read the texts. I was horrified at what I read. Say what you will about the people, but the religious text is appalling.
      If you don’t believe me, a 1 minute google search will show you.

      @gonzogarcia6833 4 роки тому +2

      @42 jade Hey,
      I think generalizing is one of the worst things we can do, specifically on this topic. Doing this is like saying all atheist are pessimists and anarchists, or that all Muslims are suicide bombers. Rather than that, we need to look deeper.
      ¿What is Christianity? It is not a set of rules, or going to mass every Sunday, but rather someone, Christ (God), who we love. And loving him should make us love everyone and, at least, try to understand everyone. For that, it is wrong to say that someone who gives hate speech, who seeks someone else’s bad, is a Christian. He/She may be baptized, or maybe does religious activities, but isn’t really living Christianity the right way. The model should be Christ, who didn’t hate, rather loved; didn’t judge, but rather forgave everyone.
      It is true Christians throughout history have made mistakes, and still do, but that doesn’t change what Christianity is.
      Hope I explained myself correctly and maybe change your perspective on Christians. Judging and generalizing won’t help make the world better.

      zain yes, but that doesn’t mean you have to do exactly what it says. It was written long, long ago, and clearly societies, cultures and laws have changed. Religions are based usually in interpretations, for example, let’s say from the Bible. Religions based on the Bible vary depending on the interpretation from it and how much they want to take from the original text
