I really resonate with this song. I didn't figure out my personal approach to learning Gemara/Rashi/Tosfos properly until Yeshiva. It was so frustrating and depressing that I just couldn't do it. I'm not dumb by any means, I just needed to learn the skill properly. In the end, it took an amazingly patient chavrusa, Master Daf, and a pencil to bring me to a satisfactory skill level.
