The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2022 US Open saw Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz claiming his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek claiming her third Grand Slam title. The 2023 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 28 - September 10. This is such an under-emphasized moment in tennis history. I remember everyone being absolutely stunned that the standing ovation lasted I think around or over 9 minutes....just insane!

I saw this and was emotional myself, I loved how Steffi had turned Andre's career around to win several more slams... It's just sad Venus and Serena did not receive the same kind of appreciation from the American crowd, being American -born themselves.
