Is it weird that I think this is one of the best fictional portrayals of God I've ever seen? He did and said everything he needed to to get Stan to teach *himself* the lesson of the episode. Even his demeanor and attitude seemed tailor-made to counteract Stan's disposition in this moment; laid back and casual, but still in control, to make Stan truly feel like his efforts were going to amount to nothing. How more all-powerful and all-knowing can you get than knowing exactly how to control a desperate, armed control freak like Stan with nothing but words? And no, the irony of Seth MacFarlane playing the literal Voice of God is not lost on me. Still, this is honestly one of his best written performances if you ask me.
One thing I noticed is that he says “I’m in the details”, referring the to common saying “the devil is in the details”. Just a cool little line I though I’d point out.

Honestly this is a surprisingly good adaptation of God given This was made by Seth McFarlane. Usually Seth has a more cynical view on religion(or at least on Family Guy) but here I think it does a good job parodying the faith and taking its shots at it without seeming like a Richard Dawkins Ted Talk(like the Not All Dogs Go to Heaven Episode).
