She’s definitely good people . Honastly we didn’t think she would have time to talk with us but we figured it was worth a shot to ask and she said yes . Woodsman’s day at the fair is always a good time . Been going since I was old enuf to drive myself there and it never disappoints.
Hello Phil and Karen. Thanks for taking us along to the show. I think they should have had a stacking competition and Karen could have competed and taken the gold medal. Phil I’ve seen you use that 500I with some speed. You probably would have given them a run for the money. Thanks for another good video.

Over the yrs this show has goten bigger and bigger pulling in top competitors from the USA and Canada. We will be in Ohio come Thursday and look forward to our 2 nd yr at the Paul Bunyan show .

Well to be honest I’m not but i wasn’t about to miss woodsman day at the fair . Havant missed one since I was old enuf to drive .
Martha was a very nice young lady. We happened to be on the sidelines while the Allen’s interviewed her.
Super nice lady and a top notch competitor for sure .

All of the competitors did a great job and it’s so much more fun watching it in person than on tv .
Could have really used Dave and his hot-saw when you had that load of dirty logs, would have had it all bucked-up before the chain had a chance to get dull!
Martha King is the Queen of the show, lovely young woman. Have a good time at the show.
I shoulda asked how it would do in dirty wood when we were talking lol . Martha has definitely put in her time and earned all of them top spots . Just being able to do all of the different parts of the competition is truly amazing for any one person .

Does this last all week? It looks like a fun and interesting event. Too bad it is the same time as Paul Bunyon. The Bunyan used to have all these events and was a required eve3nt for the people that compete nationwide. Hocking College started the Paul Bunyan Show but the new president decided she didn't want it anymore. It is a shame because it really helped the small towns near there because it brought in so many people. You would have had to drive past my house to get there. I retired as an instructor there and attended the college when I got out of the USAF.
Interesting info Jim. The fair lasts all week, but they only have the woodsmen’s events on Monday. It was a good time.

I noticed that there wasn't any chain saw carving
Not in this event, but pretty sure in the exhibition halls there was a lot of that craftsmanship. Unfortunately we didn’t make it that far this year

@@thomasworatschka6860 Sorry we just got home from making bundles all day and loading the truck . At the moment I’d say Dave’s saw is faster because right now ole buster is torn apart and missing the hydraulic cylinder . Sure would be fun to have them both side by side to see though .

It’s definitely the biggest fair in Maine and woodsman day brings in a huge crowd . Been going since I was a teen and never competed and probably never will there’s some serious competition at this event . It’s much more enjoyable standing at the fence and watching everyone .
