What's crazy is people can hear songs like this or hear idols getting candid on live about the difficulties they feel either being constantly picked apart or even overly praised on the internet and they still turn around 10 minutes later and do the same thing SMH. I really wonder what it takes to change the industry and fan culture long term but I'm glad that she's being so open and getting an outlet for her solo songs so quickly after debut.
hybes changing the industry for the better. so many people love to hate hybe say its "ruining" kpop when every group/artist under hybe has creative freedom to do stuff like this a lot of them are speaking out slowly about different things and clapping back at haters directly or in their music. hybes breaking this perfect idol fantasy and thats the true reason people hate hybe. like between BTS, New Jeans, LE SSERAFIM, TXT etc (i dont follow seventeen, formis 9, or enhypen so idk if theyre also doing things like this but you get my point) txt called out fat shamers on vlive, new jeans called out antis in one of their recent music videos, bts call out people all the time in music plus lately tae calling out antis of other members on weverse, calling out a anti youtuber who makes fake rumors about different idols, all of the members make a point to thank armys when they dont stalk them basically calling out sasaengs and paparazzi plus many more instances through the years, like le sserafim said in anti fragile " stringed puppets, no thanks with my song ill build my future" now "whatever i say they say im reading from a script so would i be reading one now?" i see antis, solo stans and especially kpop stans of other labels and non kpop fans all say kpop is fake every idol blah blah when they dont even realize painting them all with one brush doesnt help the ones who are being told what to do and say. like why wont people acknowledge that theyre not all puppets a lot of them have say in almost if not ALL of their decisions and we see that all the time with bts especially and will probably continue to see that more with the other hybe groups. im sure theres also many in other labels too like i know mamamoo, g idle etc all say what they want especially in their music. there was a huge shift in 2019 with a lot of kpop groups either debuting with more creative freedom or given more/given some if they didnt have any especially in a lot of smaller labels. bts has been doing that since debut so it could be their impact influencing labels to give their artists more freedom its not perfect but its very far from the way western media paints kpop as this "fantasy with no freedom" there are groups who deal with that still which is terrible but im tired of this overall generalization people keep pushing about every group or artist under every label in korea.
