hey guys! i’ve gotten a few comments asking why i skipped 112-110, that was an editing mistake, i’m sorry!! here they are: 112 - controllah 111 - glitter freeze 110 - m1a1 also, i didn’t include don quixote’s christmas bonanza because i honestly forgot it was an officially released song. just so you know, if i had remembered, it would be dead last. hope you enjoy the video!
We very much did enjoy it. I didn't know what I signed up for when I started watching this ranking and it turned into this whirlwind of emotions, but it was such a big experience. Thank you for making this!

The purpose of this is not to spoil the ranking but just a shortcut to what song you wanna pick and the explanation for why it's there and it's kind of silly the presentation of this considering this is one person's opinion but I think it's one of the better and more generous rankings out there that just captures the gorillaz fandom as a whole so... Great list, Sahana! (except when you did submission dirty) And you're definitely not reading this so I'll just stop there. -0: Elevator going up-
I’m a relatively new fan of Gorillaz and I so so so regret not finding them sooner! I’ve only known the band for a few months but when I did find them, I was like “omg THIS. This is what has been missing,” because I’d just never seen or heard anything like them. Since then, they are my biggest inspiration for both my art and my guitar playing/songwriting. I will admit, I feel sad to have not been one of those fans that grew up with the band and have all these good memories. It almost makes me feel…invalid for how attached I am to them? but in the short time I’ve known about Gorillaz, I really feel like they’ve helped me through some dark days. I’m so happy you put demon days and empire ants at the top of this list because those are my two comfort songs from them. They truly are captivating and make you feel indescribable emotions
THATS WHAT IM FUCKING SAYING!!! I go to listen to music while showering with Alexa, and I want to listen to it, and then IT ISNT FUCKING THERE!!!! GOD DAMNIT CONVVEREERRRRSSSSEEEEEE!!!
I really respect your standing as a Gorillaz fan, even though we have wildly different rankings (On Melancholy Hill is my favourite song of all time so seeing it ranked anywhere outside a top 10 always stings) you have very well-articulated and relatable views on every track! I felt like I was going on a nostalgic trip reminiscing about my own journey with each track as I was seeing your go through them one by one. The part about Slow Country really, really touched me and I'm grateful you chose to share that. You're one of my favourite new content creators and your channel is a real comfort to visit. Thank you for making this video!
Empire Ants is my favorite as well. Not just my favorite Gorillaz song, but my favorite song, ever, period. I don't think anything will top the way it makes me feel, how quickly it can move me to tears or take me back to a certain point in my life. I'm glad it resonates so strongly with you, as well. You encapsulated my thoughts about the song perfectly (And yes that includes the scrolling text as well). It truly does cross the boundaries of a song, or a piece of music. It is more of an angelic and ethereal sound or series of sounds that whisks you away into what can only be described as a momentary bliss (pun intended). It's like it can just pull you out of any darkness you're facing and bring you into the light of a distant seashore, with the sun's reflection casting down on the gentle passing waves. Which couldn't be more appropriate for Plastic Beach. It feels like the closing credits for humanity. And you'd think that would be terrifying, but no, there is an immense amount of comfort, a sigh of relief. It's hard to explain better than that, as I feel it's something existential, it taps into the very core of emotions and the fiber of our being. tl;dr: I agree, Empire Ants good.
Empire Ants was like a safe space for me❤ Listened to it on repeat a lot when I was 13-15 I love Gorillaz so much since my older brother introduced me to them when I was little.

Re: Slow Country. First of all, thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad you're around. Second: I moved away from home at 20, shortly after s/t came out, and I had a remarkably similar experience in which Slow Country and the English version of Latin Simone were like my personal lifelines during very dark times. Simultaneously such melancholy and hopeful songs. Why did I feel like I would be letting a Cartoon Band Guy down by giving up on myself??? I don't know but I'm glad I had that feeling. Amazing stuff, amazing music.
thank you. i’m also so glad you had that feeling. it’s so wonderful that music can have that effect on people like you and me. i’m very thankful you’re here :)
tbh i don't know anything about you but judging you by your top ten and having the audacity to make the video having that top ten is worthy of respect im subscribing
Bro that demon days bit really got to me, this was a really great video and I was overjoyed finding out that my favorite Gorillaz song was ranked number 1 and I like how you were able to articulate how I feel about the song
What a video! I had a few heart attacks (most notably with the low ranking of Silent Running and the high ranking of The Swagga), but found myself overwhelmingly agreeing with you. I was stoked to hear your appreciation of Aspen Forest and literally jumped out of my seat and cheered when Stop the Dams was revealed. The story about Slow Country was so powerful and I wish you nothing but luck on improving your mental health. Overall, thanks for making this and kudos from one The Fall enjoyer to another!
I totally agree with all you said about Demon Days. Whenever they don't close a gig with "Don't Get Lost In Haven/Demon Days", I felt empty. Ever since 2005, there's no other proper way to finish a Gorillaz concert. Last tour they have been doing mostly Clint Eastwood, and I don't like that at all, not even with the re-fix which I found amazing that they took that one to live performance after 20 years. I got a lot to say about all the ranking but it's late here (almost 4 am), and I gotta sleep now, but I enjoyed listening to you and all your takes on each song. Congratulations for all the effort you made, and glad to know they helped you getting thru bad times in your life.
I respect you so much for putting this much effort and time into this video, and the rest of the list is relatable, but in my opinion New World is one of the best interlude ever made (overally)
On Melancholy Hill will always be one of if not the most important songs to me. I listened to it a lot after a very difficult time a couple years back, namely with a relationship, and it’s the first Gorillaz song that made me cry. It’s so beautiful yet so melancholy and it perfectly captures that time in my life. Not what I would consider their best but it’s my personal favorite
wow what a great video! i really appreciate all the effort you put into it, it's great to have someone actually discussing these songs! i'm looking forward to more gorillaz content soon :)
Massive respects to you for actually ranking every song, I understand the absolute struggle it can be. I've just started the video, so I'm curious to see where Submission lands. Edit: :(
I don’t know if I should really get into this because of the legality of it but basically I was at a struggle point in my life I just lost a family member really close to me and I was going through my dad having another divorce and I started shutting my self off and doing things i shouldn’t have I basically had no hope for myself. One of my relievers was taking shrooms, on one of my trips I was listening to Demon Days as a whole and when the closer rolled around, it was honestly beautiful. Whenever the the guitars and all that kicked in I was sobbing because I had these visions with the song of me in the future with my own family and my own kids and my Dad and the rest of my family finally being happy. After that night I started trying to turn things around. It’s a struggle every single day but I’ll always come back to Demon Days to give me hope.
Oh HELL yes. I'm seeing them in Vegas next month and I'm entrenched in the discography right now, so watching this video is an event for me tonight. (settles in)
Every Planet We Reach is Dead: the first time I really listened to that song (and I mean *really* listened to it) was 10 years ago when I had just moved house out of a string of bad relationships, jobs, ruined friendships, etc (I was 100% the toxic element) and was finally where I needed to be to get my life on track. I got to the point of opening boxes where I was looking for a distraction, so I goofed off halfway through unpacking, smoked up and flopped on the couch. I was absolutely off my face stoned and playing through the album in track order when like a thunderbolt from a clear sky, Every Planet decided to make itself known. Previously, I'd either skipped it or just left earshot when it played, so I guess I'd never had a chance to sit with it: so much so, that I'd even go so far as to say that it just plain *never existed* to me. Gorillaz decided it was time for me to correct this cosmic imbalance and between my new housemates state of the art sound system and my 'spiritually medicated state', I was ready to be taken to task. Forgive me; if you think I'm waffling now, I assure you- its going to get a hell of a lot worse from here. When I say my housemates stereo was state of the art, I'm not joking. He said he'd pumped close to $20,000 dollars into making that perfect temple to the auditory gods as good as it was and it showed. You heard and felt every note, every pop, every ting, crackle, dirge, thud, pluck, strum and blow and it was divine. You could play something as simple in composition as tribal folk music and the ancient gods that ordained its creation would be summoned into the room at its call. I had just come in off "Feel Good Inc" and "El Manana," and when that first slinky guitar and distorted keyboard chimed in, I gave a smug smirk and started bopping my slackened foot along with the song. I think I even verbally acknowledged it with "Oh hey its this guy" to the empty loungeroom. Then the ghostly choir let itself in behind me and I froze up in pure terror. Even without stereos the like of The Temple of Boom playing this song, the track is a f**king masterpiece. But that stereo turned it into an orchestral crescendo of apocalyptic force that glides and stumbles and soars and slams and tortures and soothes and amongst all of that, amongst that unrelenting castrophony it somehow managed to land a hard reset in my existentially ravaged mind and with meteoric power, it just tore through my bullshit whatever and ruptured straight into the core of my being with the full force of an irrevocably insulted and enraged god punishing it's arch-heretic and it straight up annihilated what was left of me. By no measure was this song gentle; it didn't need to be. I had to feel it and understand it for what it was with no confusion or murkiness staining it's clarity. In an album frequently described as being "post apocalyptic" I like to say that Every Planet *is* the apocalypse; nothing 'post' about it. It's just so jaw droppingly, heart stoppingly, magnitudinously... big. Sure, El Manana puts a crack through the world and tears out your heart, but Every Planet tears the universes heart out through its an*s and asserts its dominance over you with full, uncomfortable, terror inducing eye-contact. When the track played out (was that a Hurdy Gurdy being stop/started at the end?) and the bassline 'da-thunk' and clapping of "November Has Come" started up, I noticed that I wasn't breathing. I was trembling all over, *every hair* standing perfectly erect, tears flooded my face, I was a mess of snot and I was straining to speak. My every nerve was screaming and on fire and it was f**king transcendental. That song tore me out of myself and wrung all of the sh*t from what was left before slapping me back together again and sending me on my way. For that reason, every Planet We Reach is Dead is my favourite Gorillaz song; hell, it's my very favourite song. Your list is magnificent, I enjoyed listening to your thoughts and feelings very much, as well hearing about another Gorillaz fan's stories and life and connections with the music. In these Demon Days, this world of the Plastic Beach, its always good to know that there are other little corners of happy landfill out here. Keep doing ya thing. Tldr: this idiot tries to explain EPWRiD
This was a good read. I too used to skip the track (I think it was the sudden hit of the intro that turned me off everytime) I was a dumb 11 year old. I’m not sure when I fully realized the track’s greatness or through what device I was listening too (probably my Sony cd player around 12 years old or so) but man that song is so insanely great especially the last few moments of the song when it’s pure chaos and it ends with that string
Awesome. I literally finished listening to Gorillaz' discography yesterday with Song Machine, Meanwhile, and Cracker Island. Also, I was hoping your number 1 would be my number 1 and I was not disappointed
fiinally, another person who appreciates the fall as much as i do! ive never been able to articulate why i love the songs on that album so much, but you've done it perfectly, especially with little pink plastic bags. the vibes and atmospheres on that album are unmatched
Look at me leaving interstitial comments as I watch. "The songs seem to run together" happened for me with Cracker Island while I tried to get into it by spinning the album in one go. Which I tried. Several times. But once I plopped the Cracker Island tracks into a larger playlist, they really came alive. Silent Running especially. And can I just say, the acoustic version of Silent Running absolutely catapulted the regular version into top tier for me? The lyrics are SO GOOD. DAMN!! All of Cracker Island is shaping up to be my fourth, possibly even third, fave Gorillaz LP.
Just got recommended this video, and, as a huge gorillaz fan I think I may have just found my soon to be new favorite youtube Channel 🥹, so hype to watch!
All Alone being (apparently) underrated is crazy because it's always been my favorite Gorillaz song, and the densely layered bridge with Martina Topley-Bird is like one of the top five most beautiful things I've ever head
Very interesting to hear your American perspective on The Fall. I always liked it but only appreciated it as an atmospheric experiment. As an English/Australian I don't get the US references. Maybe this is why I often collect with blur more than gorillaz
I love how I enter looking for a list of Gorillaz' songs and ended up listen to the life story trough one of my favorite bands of a girl I don't even know but I want to be friends with. Thanks you so much for making this video, send you a lot of love
As someone who learned about Gorillaz when I was 6 and grew up hyperfixating on it I weirdly understand your exact feelings of nostalgia and love for the top tier songs. Especially the songs that have this almost ethereal staring off into space aspect to it that's comforting and kinda sad at the same time. I've never heard another Gorillaz fan really talk about it (as most people focus on the hype songs or base line sad songs, which is fine but a bit oversaturated when it comes to Gorillaz conversation imo) and I felt like I was alone because of it. But I know exactly what you meant when you said you can't even bring the best of the songs into words. I specifically have a deep connection to the albums Plastic Beach and D-Sides (And most connected to every song from these albums that were in the top tier). This is because at the height of my Gorillaz obsession as a peak teenager my dad took me on a trip to see my cousins in L.A during the summer. That whole trip I'd listen to Gorillaz Plastic Beach since we'd see the beach side often, and the album perfectly immersed me as I'd sit, stare out, and listen. The first CD I bought (D-sides) was on that trip as I wanted to give the album another shot. I have a clear memory of everyone listening to the whole thing in the car for me. And I remember being able to tell no one else really liked it but the songs I loved I really loved. I think about that trip a lot and in turn always go back to these Gorillaz songs in order to put myself back into that feeling of being a teen with no real responsibilities. To Binge, Stop the Dams, Hong Kong, Empire Ants. They all pull out these deep emotions I have every single time. I lose myself in the feeling every single time. And as someone who has gone to their concert when they used the demon days-dont get lost in heaven closer and when they stopped I fully agree they should've kept the closer. It was such an ethereal experience and I remember being so heartbroken that I couldn't have my dad experience that closer in person when demon days was one of his favorite songs as well. All this today that I really feel what you're trying to say even if you said you don't know how to express it. And you really made me not feel alone. Thank you
I was about to scold you for not mentioning Little Dragon, but then i thought I better go back and read the text I missed. 😊 One of my favorites as well...such a lovely song. Im glad to hear Gorillaz got you through the tough times.
Saw this and thought... ugh, here we go, someone's made a youtube list... these aren't going to be 'the actual good ones'! So imagine my surprise... the top 3 are my 3 favourites. That's something I never thought I'd see.
Thank you wery much, you made my day Totally agree on Stop The Dams, Amarillo, Emire Ants, Every Planet We Reach is Dead... i can go on and on, actually... There was a handfull of moments when you've expressed the same thoughts/feelings about such little nuances that i never expected to hear from someone else an that's fascinating
Pirate's Progress, for whatever reason, is my absolute favorite. I anguish every time I remind myself of how amazing it would have been if they incorporated it into the album proper. Great video! I rate it 100000000 Viagra tablets / 4
This is perfect, my hyperfixation with Gorillaz thanks you very much, Sahana. Also, Some Kind Of Nature is the GOAT. Badabingbadaboom. I wouldn't say there's many straight up awful Gorillaz songs out there... Except for The Joplin Spider! It sucks ass. And call me crazy but I fuckin ended up liking Colombians... Not sure how, it activates the scrimblo neuron on my brain. One last detail, I promise. The weird screech in The Speak-It Mountains sounds a whole lot like Murdoc screaming "Shut up... SHUT UP!" which makes the song interesting to me from a lore perspective.
It was a ride watching this, of course aside from all the thinking i’m doing with how i agree or disagree with rankings, some of these stories were really nice to think about with how they add to a feeling of a song Damn this band is so good
It is really a testament to the Gorillaz and Albarn himself that I can disagree so wholeheartedly about so many of these, and we can both still be valid. I feel like a lot of the songs on Humans were meant almost as a compliment to Demon Dayz with the emotional whiplash, discordant vibes, and a few almost cheesy moments. I appreciate the effort you put into making this!
i always wondered what happened to the GU forum, but now i know, wow. i guess i didn't go there enough to notice. it's really strange to me that people being racist and insensitive are listing to Gorillaz, a band with with Russel in it (fun fact: he's black), and more than half of the featured artists are black. complete hypocrisy
I really feel for you when you almost broke down and I hope you get better because these last couple of years have been rough on a lot of us. (don't wanna be mean but I kinda thought it was funny the way you said captain chicken in tears)
im happy some of the songs from The Fall got some higher rankings because while some of the songs are pretty jarring the rest are honestly so good and like. How did damon make that on an ipad like thats probably the thing about the album thats so crazy to me and yeah i rank empire ants really high too that beat drop has an absolute chokehold on me fr
Okay so scrolling through some of the timeline I saw quite a few Humanz songs in there and I was honestly scared, and then the worst one was a super deluxe song and I was honestly relieved XD
That Captain Chicken bit was so funny i actually cracked up. In a metaphorical sense: You took me down a very personal path and then you slammed me into a wall and made chicken noises. Also sorry for the spam. I'm loving your takes on each song lol
Speak it mountains disrespect? I think it's a kind of cool song that I thought was about being about to go on stage, and the nervousness accompanying, hence "It is the dawn," the countdown, and tranquil noises at the end. Also Aspen forest is about playing live and the ecstasy you get from it
Fun fact: plastic beach was released RIGHT AFTER I WAS BORN My b day is March 11 2010 and I think that album came out in March 12 of the same year right?
We have the same number one! Empire Ants is very significant to me emotionally. I love Plastic Beach and got super into Gorillaz around the time I had my first girlfriend back in High School. It was pretty good as far as first relationships go. But, about one year in, her mom got a job in Texas and they moved away, thus ending the relationship. Even at the young age of 16, I knew a long distance relationship just wasn’t going to work. Despite this, I was still very upset and the night she left, I saw her one last time. After she departed, I went home, laid in bed, put on Empire Ants, and wept. This song really helped me through that tough moment and the sadness that followed and it will hold a special place in my heart because of that.
actually your right about hong kong not being a gorillaz song! it was recorded for the album of help! a day in the life but it was released as a gorillaz song without damon knowing but he has said that he believes that in the end it was the better decision :)
It souds like a candle in the background of the video. As if there is a microphone up next to it, or one of those candles with a wick that makes a crackling noise
Sahana describing the incredible and eye-opening moral of songs like empire ants with beautiful stories only to follow them with "Did that make sense? Probably not."
35:49 Canonically whichever character wrote this song wasn’t Murdoc, he said it himself. I like to think it was 2d because it just makes the most sense.
Friday 13th didn’t deserve this. Sure Octavian isn’t great, but the instrumental alone is really good if a bit simplistic. For me it really gets the feeling of getting through a big or stressful event like a band competition or standardized test and being tired on the drive home but unable to sleep. Like everything is layering and overlapping because your mind is too worn out. Idk, but I’d give the instrumental a listen.
hey guys! i’ve gotten a few comments asking why i skipped 112-110, that was an editing mistake, i’m sorry!!
here they are:
112 - controllah
111 - glitter freeze
110 - m1a1
also, i didn’t include don quixote’s christmas bonanza because i honestly forgot it was an officially released song. just so you know, if i had remembered, it would be dead last.
hope you enjoy the video!
Btw 161 is missing in the chapters and i dont think saturnz barz is in this

✨NUMBER 1✨
✨🐜🎉EMPIRE ANTS🎉🐜✨
Well that's the list! The purpose of this is not to spoil the ranking but just a shortcut to what song you wanna pick and the explanation for why it's there
and it's kind of silly the presentation of this considering this is one person's opinion but I think it's one of the better and more generous rankings out there that
just captures the gorillaz fandom as a whole so... Great list, Sahana! (except when you did submission dirty) And you're definitely not reading this so I'll just stop there.

I want to say two things for fun, one, Controllah is underated, two, Elevator Going Up isn't a song and shouldn't exist 💀
Omg
The top 4 are freaking goated!🔥💫
Agree
I love Hong Kong soooo much
And Empire Ants was my comfort song in middle school when things were rocky
@@Arquimedes1408You're wrong, elevator going up is an song and its the best thing Gorillaz has ever done.
You are a legend!!
I grew up with Gorillaz, and even though it’s probably cooler to watch Gorillaz grow, it’s still fun right now
I grew up with them and then stopped listening for a few years and started listening again and it was the best decision I’ve ever made ✨✨
do ya thing is amazing and it not being on spotify is criminal.
Yea but gorillaz can't put it on spotify cus they don't own it😢

every planet we reach is dead is my favorite gorillaz song, and i'm so glad someone else appreciates it in such high regard. great video!

Where it is in her ranking?
Empire Ants was like a safe space for me❤
Listened to it on repeat a lot when I was 13-15

@user-bo3ho5su7v tf did I do?

No feel good or clint eastwood on number 1 👏👏👏
DoYaThing is my ringtone, so yk I was so happy to see it that high on the list.
Edit: :(
kelela did good.
It’s a struggle every single day but I’ll always come back to Demon Days to give me hope.
i’m so sorry you had to go through that :( i hope you’re doing well and i wish you the best going forward 🧡
Oh HELL yes. I'm seeing them in Vegas next month and I'm entrenched in the discography right now, so watching this video is an event for me tonight. (settles in)
how does it feel to live my dream
Right now I feel like the same chump, several hundred dollars lighter, but I'll let you know in three weeks once I've ascended.
I saw them in NY and I would sell my soul to go back in time anytime I want to experience it again and again
Also, I was hoping your number 1 would be my number 1 and I was not disappointed
u did an awesome job at picking the video back up and im proud you made the better choice
fiinally, another person who appreciates the fall as much as i do! ive never been able to articulate why i love the songs on that album so much, but you've done it perfectly, especially with little pink plastic bags. the vibes and atmospheres on that album are unmatched
Ngl 5/4 is my favourite song by gorillaz
It’s one of the best ones for me
Huge bop
It was my top song on Spotify for 2 years 😭
Just got recommended this video, and, as a huge gorillaz fan I think I may have just found my soon to be new favorite youtube Channel 🥹, so hype to watch!
This was a great video, I look forward to seeing more Gorillaz content on this channel.
EVERY PLANET WE REACH IS DEAD IS SUCH A BOP, ABSOLUTELY MASTERPIECE!!!
havent finished the vid as im typing this but putting "intro" higher than "baby queen" is WILDDDD
and i stand by it
20:08 ok yeah I get what you mean but LEDT HAND SUZUKI SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE GUMBALL INTRO
You already know i dont have the self control to not watch this all in one sitting 😂
Same...
Would like to say that I’m very happy you’re still here. I have a huge for you and your great content. Love from Canada ❤
All Alone being (apparently) underrated is crazy because it's always been my favorite Gorillaz song, and the densely layered bridge with Martina Topley-Bird is like one of the top five most beautiful things I've ever head
I still remember the original upload
no you don’t
Same haha
Sahana is going to erase your memory now
As a self-proclaimed Sweepstakes hater, I am in shambles
Can I say that Double Bass is a masterpiece? I lead a Double Bass cult ❤
Very interesting to hear your American perspective on The Fall. I always liked it but only appreciated it as an atmospheric experiment. As an English/Australian I don't get the US references. Maybe this is why I often collect with blur more than gorillaz
Im gonna sob 😭 im watching this whole thing
I felt so much joy when you mentioned 2Ds noise at the beginning of Punk that’s like my favorite part of that song for some reason
Man. I love Idaho. A little surprised you ranked it so low
Thank you
I love your profile picture! I also have a hyperfixation on gorillaz. And moomins.
Preach!❤
Sleeping powder is a S tear for shure ✨✨
I was about to scold you for not mentioning Little Dragon, but then i thought I better go back and read the text I missed. 😊 One of my favorites as well...such a lovely song. Im glad to hear Gorillaz got you through the tough times.
Saw this and thought... ugh, here we go, someone's made a youtube list... these aren't going to be 'the actual good ones'!
So imagine my surprise... the top 3 are my 3 favourites.
That's something I never thought I'd see.
I had a really cool theory about the Kool Klown Klan and how it would tie up all the phases including the 7th one but I guess they forgot about 'em
Thank you wery much, you made my day
Totally agree on Stop The Dams, Amarillo, Emire Ants, Every Planet We Reach is Dead... i can go on and on, actually...
There was a handfull of moments when you've expressed the same thoughts/feelings about such little nuances that i never expected to hear from someone else an that's fascinating
Where was Glitter Freeze, Controllah, and M1A1?
Pirate's Progress, for whatever reason, is my absolute favorite. I anguish every time I remind myself of how amazing it would have been if they incorporated it into the album proper.
Great video! I rate it 100000000 Viagra tablets / 4
the gods have gifted us with this video
rock the house and the pink phantom are top tier
I put on Colombians for laughs.
It was a ride watching this, of course aside from all the thinking i’m doing with how i agree or disagree with rankings, some of these stories were really nice to think about with how they add to a feeling of a song
Damn this band is so good
I refuse to belive that "Grilling with His Face" is a real gorillaz song
You mean to tell me that the chorus in Superfast Jellyfish isn’t 2D? Im actually losing it
The guy is clearly Welsh! 2D isn't!
I knew you’d say “fresh of breath air” by the end
the closest there is to a perfect tier list
Excellent list.
I would have placed Little Pink Plastic Bags very low but the rest is spot on!
Why?
What are your entries for Controllah, Glitter Freeze, M1A1, and Don't Get Lost In Heaven?
It was a hell of a fun time seeing super fast jellyfish performed live at Demon Dayz Festival 2018, the energy was electrifying
How did damon make that on an ipad
like thats probably the thing about the album thats so crazy to me
and yeah i rank empire ants really high too that beat drop has an absolute chokehold on me fr
Watched this with my partner and we screamed everytime a THE FALL track appeared higher than our favs 😭
Yay these are so fun to watch! But very little exist sadly this is amazing
Okay so scrolling through some of the timeline I saw quite a few Humanz songs in there and I was honestly scared, and then the worst one was a super deluxe song and I was honestly relieved XD
Why does colombians remind me of cbat?
OH MY GOD YOU’RE RIGHT
I honestly can't believe you think Friday the 13th is a bad song...
That Captain Chicken bit was so funny i actually cracked up. In a metaphorical sense: You took me down a very personal path and then you slammed me into a wall and made chicken noises.
Also sorry for the spam. I'm loving your takes on each song lol
I'm glad you are still around. 🧡
Speak it mountains disrespect? I think it's a kind of cool song that I thought was about being about to go on stage, and the nervousness accompanying, hence "It is the dawn," the countdown, and tranquil noises at the end. Also Aspen forest is about playing live and the ecstasy you get from it
Submission is like my favorite humanz song man 😭😭
24:16 i love that little flismy steve reference you slid in there 😭😭
Fun fact: plastic beach was released RIGHT AFTER I WAS BORN
My b day is March 11 2010 and I think that album came out in March 12 of the same year right?
Mine is 18th of October 2010 so plastic beach is just a little bit older than me 😭😭
Wait what about M1A1 or Glitter Freeze and controllah
How did you put seattle yodel over california and the slipping of the sun 🤣😭
fr 😭
She even put it over Midnite Float and Silent Running
11:32 I laughed at this!! Loved the reference
54:49 can’t have shit when listening to this song
😂
I’m so glad
Ad the parish of space dust made it to !!!!!! Tier 😊😊😊 ily
Your Friday the 13th slander will NOT be tolerated
FR
On ME...!!!
Sahana describing the incredible and eye-opening moral of songs like empire ants with beautiful stories only to follow them with "Did that make sense? Probably not."
THE SWAGGA YESSSSSSSSS btw this video is an absolute great 11/10
THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS!!1
Is the sound effect you use to censor swears from 12d3
it’s from we are happy landfill!
Rank Gorillaz music videos
Friday 13ths number one fan here
35:49 Canonically whichever character wrote this song wasn’t Murdoc, he said it himself. I like to think it was 2d because it just makes the most sense.
I kinda think Idaho should be ranked higher and possession island too, both beautiful songs
columbians was an auditory version of damon giving the middle the finger
Friday 13th didn’t deserve this. Sure Octavian isn’t great, but the instrumental alone is really good if a bit simplistic. For me it really gets the feeling of getting through a big or stressful event like a band competition or standardized test and being tired on the drive home but unable to sleep. Like everything is layering and overlapping because your mind is too worn out. Idk, but I’d give the instrumental a listen.
Last Living Souls is my favorite song of all time😊
