I hope I can provide an idea of what it was like to start as an amateur grinding a telescope mirror and then, a few years later, find that many of us were key personnel to help the US Dept. of Defense, as the Cold War began with Russia, to radically improve this country's
knowledge of the possible nuclear and warring intentions of that Communist Nation. Paul Valleli
