Hi Bill and Lisa. Aiea Bowl was my old stomping grounds. Before the freeway came through my Grandma lived across the street. There are still a couple of homes still there. One of them is my cousin’s house. What a wonderful trip. It is so nice that you are able to do these short trips. Take care. Love and blessings from Hawaii❤️🙏🌺❤️
Another great video!!! Just like gardena bowl 😊 good eats in a bowling alley😊 everything in hawaii looks fun to do❤❤ my cousin always buys from cookie corner as a treat. All those cookies look so good!! Hard to decide what flavor to get!!!!!❤❤❤ glad you always have a great time in hawaii😊😊😊 love abc stores in vegas😂😂 cant wait to see your next adventure ❤❤❤
When I was in Hawaii I didn’t know what to try. I ate mostly junk food and came home saying I didn’t care for the food. If I ever go back I’ll know what and where to eat. Have a fun day
Beautiful long video! Love the end clips to the music. All of the fried chicken dishes looked so yummy. Your family is so lucky to get the sweet gifts you got them!
Bill and Lisa, Happy St. Patrick's Day. What an awesome trip. All the food looked yummy. I could get healthy with all that fruit on everything lol. Take care.
Great job showcasing the different things to do and eat, You did a lot in 1 day. btw, Donna's Cookies can also be found at Don Q and Times Supermarket on Oahu. Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀
Another great one Bill & Lisa!! Love the Poke it looks really fresh. The Itchy Butt it’s really great we tried that exact bowl that you guys got there. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
another great vlog but bill made me laugh about the Hawaii soda when he said that it was now also available "in the states" surely Hawaii is in the states lol great content as always. tony UK
Hi Bill! Hi Lisa! I sure did enjoy traveling vicariously around Oahu with you folks on this trip. I wish I would’ve seen this video before our trip a couple of weeks ago. Since, our family reunion had a few family members that had never visited Hawaii before, my cousin-who lives there-had the group doing more touristy things, rather than local things…. Darn it! I absolutely LOVE bowling alley restaurants! Gardena Bowl and Crenshaw Bowl were old stomping grounds for my friends and I, back in the day. The food you folks had, looked soooo good! Especially, Lisa’s rich oxtail soup! I so wish I would’ve known about the swap meet! We were there from Sat-to-Sat, so I would’ve pushed for a Wednesday visit, had I known. Definitely spent way too much money on omiyage at Big Island Candies, at Ala Moana. Will definitely be planning a trip back sometime soon. This time, I’ll be armed with your videos, so I can show my cousin where I want to go. 😊 Take care and Mahalo Nui Loa for ALL of your amazing videos!
You're very welcome, Mary! Yes, easy to spend a small fortune at Big Island Candies, but so good! lol. Swap Meet is nice place to browse around and get your steps in. Thanks for watching!
Mahalo for the shout out Bill and Lisa! Cookie Corner is my favorite and I have to agree that Donna's cookies are really good too! Because of you two.. I'm gonna finally go to Itchy Butt because the sauces looked soo good on the chicken and Aiea Bowl is a Locals favorite. Hope you liked Jejubing . It's my fav place and the fact that they don't ring up a tip option when you use credit card is rare to find at an establishment. Near your hotel in Waikiki is a place called Ice Monster. It's pure Taiwanese Shave Ice. Nhi and I would like to treat you there if you have more time on your next visit. Take care and Mahalo for supporting local👍🤙
Aloha Sean! You're very welcome! We think you'll like Itchy Butt, they make a tasty chicken bowl! Jejubing was great, mango was my favorite. Haven't tried Ice Monster, so it's a date! =)
Lots of great popular local eats this time! And not very crowded as they usually are or were in the warmer months. Some notes: Off the Hook in Mānoa is famous for its cold ginger poke. I think they did it first. And the Allleyʻs owner/chef Glenn Uyeda (who left fine-dining NY restaurants to return to Hawaiʻi to buy and renovate the Aiea bowling alley and restaurant with his brother Gregg) came up with the tasty chicken and lemon & pumpkin crunch recipes that many places have tried to copy but canʻt beat. Iʻm glad you found out how much better Ala Moana Beach Park/Magic Island is than the beaches in Waikiki. Thatʻs where the locals go. Donnaʻs cookies used to be sold at Longs, but I donʻt see them there regularly like before. Oh, and please try not to say "back in the States" because Hawaiʻi is the 50th state in the U.S.! I was there in Waikiki on Wednesday at the Outrigger Reef Kani Ka Pila Grille for the Hawaiian music and walked around after 9 p.m., but I didnʻt see you!
In addition, please try the Liliha Bakery outside of Waikiki. I heard the Waikiki branch does cost a little more. I eat at the Liliha Bakery on Kuakini and Liliha St or Nimitz Hwy. You will love it too.
I’m going to attempt to make a Hawaiian style oxtail soup at home. I’ve been researching for a good recipe. Should help me feed my craving for it until I can go back to visit!
Aloha! Love your videos! Any recommendations for what kind of camera to use for vlogging? You guys are such an inspiration. Aiea bowl has the best local grinds especially the oxtail soup and pumpkin crunch cake!
Bill, since u love loco moco, please try Liliha Bakery on Oahu, its the best!!! And their delish buttery muffins w the red sweet sauce like jelly. And please try the coco puffs, they have ono kine pastries.
The Alley's Tasty Chicken, a local favorite! The place was even featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives!
Your videos are my comfort content ❤ 🤗 I feel like I’m a kid again, on a fun vacation with mom and dad! Lol!
That beach looked so inviting! I'm so glad you feature local eats!
Thanks Winnie!

Looks fabulous
On the B.I. there is Chubby's Diner, also located in a bowling alley in Kailua-Kona. It was pretty good but your food looks better. 🌺🌞🌊
Aiea Bowls ox tail is my favorite on the island. the chicken and crunch cake is also ono. BTW the half plate is for the bones.
So good!
Love the Cookie Corner. The smell is the best, they have one at the Sheraton Waikiki but not sure they bake them on site like the Ala Moana.
Natsukashii !!!
Ah, the ol' days . . .
Your lunch and dessert look good.
