A quick little thing! I know the Wax highlight isn't the best as I've never really played Dark Woods before! So the routes aren't refined for me just yettttt, so take the kite as an example of what he CAN do, versus how a kite would ACTUALLY go :p

He is more on par with Gravekeeper, but that doesnt make his containment bad 2/ He counters at least 50% of the hunter 3/ He is a "rescuer" not meant to be a strong container 4/ Just to reinforce my 3rd point. It's as youve said. Naiad: The moment harpoon comes back, use atk prediction then shield. (Full Counter) Nightwatch: Do the same thing against naiad but do atk prediction twice, if he nightwatch decides to use speed boost (if he has multiple and uses 2 then hit u, you still win bc u forced a lot of wind off him and chances of him only having 1 is high, if he doesnt he wasted 20seconds just to get 2 winds. You rush fast early game chasing him.) a)All above works well against (Full Counter) Axe Boy, Ripper, Bloody Queen, Ann, Reptilian, Wu chang, Joseph, Undead(tight kite use atk predict), hermit, goatman, fools gold, clerk. How to counter opera: Use ur own body to put her dashes into cooldown then use atk predict = force her to shadow dance, then use ability predict = force her to basic hit. You can pull so much distance b)Not to mention his rescue counter ALL CAMP HUNTERS He can rescue against ANY HUNTER He can Rescue without TOUCHING THE CHAIR example. Against chip hunter just use chip predict twice to force their basic atk, they cant put bombs.statues/fences/tentacles/spit/fireball/cats/evil reptilian crash/ naiad harpoon/ breaking wheel snap . A friend and I were literally reiterating some of these points to give the knight more merit yesterday. And YES I’d be 1000% down for a collab! 👍
So I've been playing knight as well, and gotta say, super fun and versatile. Predictions being a mechanic that rewards your game knowledge feels super rewarding when you get them right. You don't even necessarily need to get the predictions right to get value out of the item. e.g. If you predict double attack before going for a vault, the Hunter is either waiting out the timer or forced into using abilities and putting them on cooldown, either way, you get the vault uncontested against most Hunters because they're stuck in ability animations or staring at their screen. His rescue is solid as well, if the Hunter tries to stuff Knight, they gotta play the mini game. If they don't, then you can use the ability to potentially help rebound for the first 5 seconds. Then you've also got the ranged rescue ability that messes up so many hunters with good camping kits. On the video by Zeus, tinfoil hat theory here, they're mega downplaying him and being obtuse on purpose in order to dodge immediate Knight nerfs. 👺 In all seriousness though, it's too early to say if he's strong, mid or trash, you can mitigate the inconsistency of his ability to a degree by putting hunters into a lose-lose situation like the example I gave earlier, but at the end of the day it is still a guessing game otherwise.
I had alot of fun for him too but sometimes when I faced smarter hunter , and they do opposite of what I predicted make me upset about it since his item only 3 usage and not cooldown so seeing my item wasted so easily made me sad a little lol . For me I tried my best to raw kite as him but I love his rescue alot

Also you can do atk predict and jump into the window or pallet without getting terrorshocked lol and hunter will be slowed down because smh they can't resist but press attack when you vault right in front of them
No fr they acc have no idea on how character metas work this guy was made to be good against meta hunters and they act like hes trash despite that being the first time they ever tried him out 😭 like maybe dont dictate how good he is after only playing him in customs the day he released 😭 these guys istg
Genuinely, he's so fun to play. I finally feel like I've found my main among all survivors after 3 years of playing idv. I used to play all survs, did everyone's deductions, ofc I have a few whom I like to play more than others but that's all. And then here comes the knight. His kit, lore, appearance and especially mind gaming are soo good to me, I truly enjoy playing him My hunter main is photographer who is also about mind gaming. I just love it. It may be inconsistent and uncomfortable for some but it's so rewarding and enjoyable for me
I've been playing him for a while (I'm not that good kiter) but using Knight it's like a 3 cipher kite guaranteed for me and also his rescue ability is super useful (I never experienced getting terror shock from it) sometime it's like a game changer too. He's super cool and so much fun to play can't wait to get his badge. Thank you for making this super useful video, this is the first time I ever watch your video too!

@@kennysterlingz6031 last time we watched a character trailer it was Fools Gold, and mannnn we thought he was going to be busted because of how misleading the trailer was 😂 But yeah that’s what this video is all about, just correcting mistakes so people aren’t given misinformation, or false first impressions. So as long as they keep making mistakes with new characters (and if I can whale for them), I’ll be sure to correct them 👍

And also can completely counter blink if u think the hunter will use it cause traits count as abilitys so the first survivor to counter blink so i think he will be a tier in tourney
I agree with your judgement. Making a character out to be bad without properly exploring what it can do is wasted potential imo. Spamming 1v1s with him until he comes out for rank :))

I found Knight a bit confusing at first, he feels like a mix of Matthias and Luchino's skills so the hunters could just wait for the skill cooldown to end so they could hit them, but the stalemate prediction is actually very useful, i feel like people are still getting used to him but soon he will be very annoying to go against when played right, just like Goatman
Basically, most of the awful assumptions about knight are a result of the players being extremely inattentive and failing to understand the bare basics of the Knight’s kit. Like, they’re practically reaching to come up with reasons to dismiss him just because they can’t just accept that they played poorly.
i think they were to just quick to judge, like i think they should have played normal match, rank etc. Play around with his skills before making a conclusion that the character is absolute garbage. Just like u show in matches, he could be an annoying first chase for hunters like wu chang etc where they need the presence. Also fuck wax artist yeah, cancel that ugly dude's skill

Merc has set the bar way too high for rescuers so he wasn’t going to be super OP or anything but knight is a solid basement rescuer I’ll give him that
