I would have put threaded brass inserts or steel slugs and magnets into that cavity cover that the battery is contained in as it wont be too many battery changes before the screw holes are worn to the point they no longer hold on the cover, an even better solution would be rechargeable batteries with a barrel jack. Having said all that, I tried that mini amp and the other big brand ones out in my local music store and it was not a nice experience, in fact I quickly realised they are a novelty toy amplifiers that sound terrible, however, they sounded a little better with headphones. I love this travel Strat though, I did quite a lot of international travelling around South East Asia in the early '90s for nearly 3 years and the only time I got to play guitar was if I came across a fellow traveller who had an acoustic guitar with them or the various music stores I came across from time to time, lord did I miss my own guitars!
nice idea but i've notice it seems it's hard to control the guitar when it has no arm rest any more, i wonder about stienberger headless spirit guitar.
If you put the knobs for the electronics in the side of the guitar, instead of the speaker, you free up a lot of space on the front of the guitar..To put in a BIGGER SPEAKER!! you can even tilt the speaker a couple of degrees downward,AWAY from from the pick ups..to avoid the feedback.😁Think before you build...Small speakers=small sound. Just put in the biggest speaker you possibly can...as far away from the pickups as possible. 😸THATS the reason a lot of micro audio stuff sounds crappy..speakers just too damn SMALL!!
Yes I know but I wanted to keep the face of the strat intact with the knobs because I like strats the way they look. I am an old fan of Pink Floyd and David Gilmour.
Thank you. No but it's easy. The amp and the guitar are separate. That's why it has 2 inputs. The one is the output of the guitar. The only modification that I made is a secret switch that connects the 2 inputs so if you want the guitar to play just with the amp the switch is on. If you want to have some extra effects such as a distortion pedal you put it between these 2 inputs and put the switch to off.
@@archettod.i.y.5894 If you made a seperate video of you opening up the guitar and pointing to where the wires of the amp controls lead to and connect, me and probably alot of other folks would really appreciate it- ive been coming back to this video for a few days and staring at the wiring and learning about guitar wiring, but im still not entirely sure cause theres a lot of different colors tangled together. Im mainly wondering stuff like, at what point does the live wire from the pickups connect with the amp? like how does the amp receive the electromagnetic vibrations from the coils? do they just both meet at the input jack? where does the battery connect? also why does there have to be two inputs instead of one? i noticed that you also cut off the input jack of the marshall mini, did you get rid of it or is it one of the two inputs we see on the guitar? stuff like that- even if you just wrote out a brief summary in the comments id be really thankful- really beautiful guitar and playing by the way

Only now I saw your video.. I just finished something similar . You gave me the inspiration to try something with an amplug. Thanks!
Great thanks!
Great job. With a headles bridge could stay shorter.
soooo cool - thanks for the inspirations!!!
Thank you
Very nice... Maybe you can integrate multi efffects such as a Lekato multi effects headphone amp.
Thank you, I thought about that but the space is limited.

Thank you. Yes it is. I' m thinking about it and maybe I' ll do something.
I wanted to do this too, but I just repainted my guitar
Find a cheap guitar and do it. That's what I did!

That’s hella cool dude. Is there a diagram For the wiring?
