- Audio Technica LP-60X Vinyl Record Player (Old model was LP-60) basic review and why vinyl records are better than MP3. This is one of the best entry level Record / Vinyl players you can buy. It plays both 33 RPM and 45 RPM records and has a very good performance. The head needle works for about 1000 hours. In India you can get LP-60X for about Rs.10,000 to 15000/- and old model LP-60 for approx Rs.8000/-. In USA it is only $99 which is about Rs.7,500/-. This video is in Hindi.

Thanks for watching. India has seen a sudden rise in Vinyl users in the last few years. It all demand and accessibility issue for the pricing. While vinyl is available at cheaper rates at many places, but one has to make lot of effort to find those. The expensive ones are readily available online so its simple to buy.

Not much of prestige but it gives a good feeling watching the songs play, even though this is a entry level setup.
Any idea, compared to Philips Hi Q international, which one is better ?
Frankly I have not compared it with others, but in recent times Audio technica is a very good brand in LP especially if you are first timer and its very inexpensive to maintain, and old scratched records also run very well without skipping. I have seen some videos of this compared with others and there doesn't seem much difference in sound quality. Feature wise also Audio technica is better than others.

Yes agreed. But I feel vinyl also adds some physical character which feels good to listen, especially while watching it. 🙂
Natural sound is the main features of Vinyl.. some vinyl recordings are incomparable... flac will give you cristal clear sound but won't feel natural as if music being lively played

Hi, It's sometimes available on amazon.com / .in and sometimes on other online stores. Currently I could it find at www.therevolverclub.com/collections/turntables (Approx 18k)
You can use any tower woofer based amplified speakers. I use F&D T-60X. Its economical (Approx 10k) space saving and gives very good clear loud sound. And you can also use it with Bluetooth, Mic, Pen drive etc. Rest depends upon your budget and liking.
It's Cartridge is magnetic or pizo electric ?
Magnetic. As per their manual they term it as dual magnet.
I want to know matarial quality. Claw player
Build quality is good. The stylus (needle) is entry level but does not skip old records. Though it is heavy on records, about 7 grams (Normally it should be about 4 grams) so wear and tear on new records will be more, but not very much. Turntable speed is also quite accurate but I could not find anything that could adjust it. Auto stop at the end of the record did not work in my player, maybe it was faulty. Mine came with a 5v DC USB adapter which I could also replace with a power bank and take the player anywhere. Try not to buy the suitcase version as many people have complained the larger records slightly touching the opening lid. Hope this solves your queries.

You can remove and change the stylus (needle catridge thats in white) but not the whole.

Try to record output from both line-out and headphone jack. I found headphone jack with better sound on my claw. Good luck.

Sir claw ka player kaisa he
I had Claw for a sometime (till last year). The main issues with claw is that there is no Bass even with good amplifier and there is a humming sound of the motor in speakers. It is good only on its own amplified speakers. Its cheap 5-6k and also plays 78 RPM, but sooner or later you would want to upgrade and you will loose money. So better go for any other entry level better brand player. As of this year Claw may have improved/solved their issues so you can try to check it live at any place before buying.

Yes one of its model has Bluetooth with BT in its model number. But using Bluetooth on a record player defeats the analog argument and you will hear the adulterated over-optimized digital version on your speakers, similar to listening on UA-cam.

Yes. New records are quite expensive, especially the English ones. Though you can get second hand Bollywood records between 200-600 locally in tier 1 and II cities.
