She has sung Opera.
You guys mentioned how Linda is so versatile. She can sing--and HAS sung--just about every style possible. You have had a taste of her range, but there is so much more. She had a New Wave phase in the 80s (Check out "How Do I Make You"), recorded a trilogy of Great American Songbook classics like "What's New" and "Someone to Watch Over Me," and did operetta (check out "Poor Wandering One" from The Pirates of Penzance). Truly one of a kind.
Thanks for reacting to this true superstar. I had the fortune to see her in concert. This was the best concert that I’ve ever attended.
My favorite Linda is her What's New album of 40's big band classics with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Such beautiful music. ❤️🎶
WRITTEN BY THE LEGEND SMOKEY ROBINSON-GREAT TUNE/GREAT VOICE!
That was a pedal steel guitar. A slide guitar is a guitar that uses a normally glass tube to slide along the fret board to bend the sound.
Not sure if she ever did opera, but she was in the movie adaption of "Pirate's of Penzance"
