I've thought about getting a Ruggable rug. If I do, I'll take it to one of the laundromats in town that have washers and dryers for oversized things like large comforters to wash it. I love how the pictures in the living room came out with the new frames.
Love the painting!!! My mom is an artist and I have quite a few original works. One option is to get a solid matte and "float" the art work on top of it. I think the beauty is also in the raw edges. This way you get to see the whole thing and nothing will be cut off by the matte. Just an idea to help you love the painting when more!❤
Nice rug! It could also work if you move it closer to the TV stand, making it more visible and less of it under the sofa! Beautiful photo print of you and Brynn. ❣️❤️
Thanks Katie for showing us how you can makeover a room by just adding a few changes. Years ago I had a huge basket and went to a mirror/glass shop and just gave them the measurements I wanted to place on top to make it a table. They actually did so while I waited. Be sure to get a beveled edge. I think you can use glue dots on the edge to hold it in place.
I recommend a little type jr picnic table for kid to eat off of. Easy clean, they can get in and out of. Kids prefer it as the eat at table vs high chair. Got the idea from day care.
I love the rug, but I think you should move it closer to the TV console, so you can see it a little more. It would also look nice to put a little larger jute rug under it, since it is a little on the smaller side. Still looks good, just some suggestions. Love your videos! 😊
Oh Katie the painting of you and Brynn, SO PRECIOUS 🥹💖😍✨ The sweetest picture ever! Brian captured such a beautiful memory! It looks amazing in the playroom, it's ok if it's not "even" perfection is overrated!😁☺️ I love everything you did, a beautiful transformation! I love the black frames, your art really pops off the black, so gorgeous! Rug is gorgeous too! Love it! You are a wonderful decorator! Thank you so much for sharing. Have a fun filled day. You look so happy!😍🥰💖
As a mom of 2, I know what it's like to get unsolicited advice about certain things😂, but since you asked for a suggestion about the table, I wouldn't ever have a glass top table with littles for a couple of reasons. One is the fact you will be cleaning it multiple times a day from little finger prints, food being smeared etc. I would just get her a silicone place mat or even a couple and put them on the table when she is eating there. But the 2nd reason, and most important is when they're learning to walk, pulling themselves up etc (as you know), they fall a lot, not to mention putting their mouths on the side of the table. Maybe I'm just too paranoid with glass around littles, but it just never sat right with me, regardless of whether it's round or square. I can't wait to see little man's nursery video!❤
Wow! That rug is gorgeous!!! I love it!! And the black frames made an unbelievable difference….thanks so much for the inspiration!!! Love your eye for style and thanks so much for sharing!!
The end chair you should of place on the rug first and continue placing the other sofa pieced which will fit much better the rug gave a special attention to the living room area colors used in this area gives it more life place a heavy piece of glass on the center table to save any damage to the surface and easier to be cleaned up adding an artificial greenery plant will complete your decor
Good choice on rug- looks rich- much better than the old. Oh and as far as placement- front feet of couch on edge of rug is the rule- unless you can put the entire couch on.
Love the Brynn makes the rules sign, and that painting of you two is absolutely adorable! Rugs USA has some good rugs that are machine washable. Not all on their site will be, but it will tell you in the description. I got one for our basement and have washed it. It washed well. I chose not to use any anti slip padding under ours. It’s been fine. We’ve had it over a yr.
I like it when you link things that you bought because you have really good taste and I might want to get something you have. You're right just little touches make a difference. Everything looks so nice as usual. Is that the Dawson sofa in your upstairs room?
I love everything!!! I know others have mentioned it, I think the shelves upstairs would look better at eye level. Thank you for sharing this website with us, I'll check it out! Don't overdo it while pregnant mama 💕♥️
Very nice update’s Katie!! the painting Brian had done for you is amazing. The sofa pops on the new rug and the table looks great on it also, great choice’s
Love the painting of u n Brynn, as a suggestion try getting a custom mat..you can take the paint to hobby lobby or Michael’s n they will custom cut one for you it will frame the painting nicely or double matting as someone else suggested…..😊
I love the new rug and frames! Brynn's area is really child friendly and the painting of both you and Brynn is beautiful. My son is an artist and does commissioned paintings so I know how much work it is to do one of those paintings. Your guy did a great job!
I have a rug in my living room. And it’s been crooked the whole time. You don’t really notice unless you pull the sofa out. One side is on more than the other. But I’m not moving it, so it will stay this way until we get rid of it. Our rug has an off white background with other colors. We walk through the living room to get to the kitchen with groceries. It doesn’t stay too clean. But we have a carpet cleaner and use it often. I love the picture of you and Brynn. Maybe you could get a smaller mat to put on it and make it look straight. I have a mirror with a black frame in my living room. And it does pop. That’s why I picked it.
I love the rug and all of the changes you made! Just throwing this idea out there, you could put gallery lights over your prints in the living room. It'd give an elevated look and Brynn wouldn't be able to reach it. Love the painting of you and Brynn. You could also try a floating frame. I think it looks great how you have it too. 😊
I liked the other rug but like this one much better because it adds more contrast in color and won''t show the dirt as much. Black frames look great. Personally, I wouldn't get glass for the round table, chance of her falling and chipping a tooth is real. Maybe a little kid's table and chair to eat at and play at so it would be her special place for eating. Table is too nice to get ruined.
I love the “raw” edges in the painting but I see where you are coming from because it would probably bother me too! What if you cut your own boarder out of poster paper from Hobby Lobby or something? I know they have a variety of colors but you could just get a large white poster board and make a boarder that fits?
Your couch should just sit on the edge of the rug, your sitting your couch way on top of the rug making the rug look smaller - love the choice of the rug it’s beautiful
One thing I always liked about you is how you handle the snide remarks/comments .. I'll gladly cuss a bih out for you tho, guilt free 😂😂 .. Some of you people in the comments are just ridiculous 😂
I love the rug, and I love the prints but I would hang the prints with a little less of a gap between them for a more balanced and high end look. There’s a rule about it but you’d have to google it. I’m not the expert, for sure.
Think the sign is fitting it is her playroom so why shouldn't she rule it at least until brother comes along. I am so glad that our playroom has a door we can shut when we don't use it so no one sees it we don't expect our one year old to pick up her toys all the time it's just not realistic and no point we clean it up at night with them before bedtime. Although it can be messy in the daytime I really don't care it's a playroom it's suppose to be messy. Raise your kids they way you want to and let others raise their own kids they want to period . Cute updates for the playroom .
Brynn cannot read yet. Maybe with you being the second person mentioning about not a good idea that Katie has it up, she may take it down. That's her decision. Arlene
Lol the first year of life my daughter did make the rules 🤣. Told me I couldn't sleep longer than 3 hour's also let me know when and where I'd feed her
@crystalnewman4238 Did your parents put up a poster that said “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all”…? If they did, you clearly didn’t read or learn from that. 😒
What a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. You will treasure it for years and bring back wonderful memories. Great job Brian.
I love the rug and the picture frames

Hi,what a beautiful pontrait of Bruno and you,blessend ❤❤❤❤

Looks great! I really like the new rug and the paint is so special! ❤
You don’t want glass on top stuff gets underneath and it’s a pain . I second the place mat idea!
Nice rug! It could also work if you move it closer to the TV stand, making it more visible and less of it under the sofa! Beautiful photo print of you and Brynn. ❣️❤️
Thanks for the tip!
That’s what I was thinking. It would make the room appear larger.
You can always double mat the print of you and Brynn. Really sweet and thoughtful gift.
I just tried the magnet poster frames for my grandkids play room at my house. They are really nice & easy to use. 😊
Katie, I agree-the new rug and frames do elevate the space. And they look REALLY nice!
The darker rug makes the dark colors on the couch and wall pop better. More cohesive color flow. It feels super cozy to me.

The Mother’s Day painting was so on point with both of your features! Such a thoughtful gift ❤❤

Love the rug!!!😍 sometimes lumbar yards will cut glass.
Love the updates!! The mix of dark and light is perfect ❤😊
What a beautiful portrait of Brynn and You

It does pop with the bigger black frames. Love that Bryan had the painting done for you. Such a special gift. He's a keeper!
Great video, thanks Katie. That commissioned painting of you and Brynn is incredible! ❤
All Looks great Katie🥰
Love how everything turned out!The rug is so pretty but I would probably go up a size.
THANKS KATIE ❣️ So FUN! I love the new rug. Don't you just love the cordless vacuum. I love mine. I'll have to try the ETSY Prints and Walgreens 😊
I like the dark rug 😊
Try getting a silicone placemat for her when she eats at the coffee table. Might help her with keeping the mess contained ❤
Great idea, thank you!

I love how your new rug and prints with the new frames compliment each other ! They really stand out and go great with the coffee table! Nice job
Love all you’ve done! Yes, I love the rug, the color balances the light floor and light sofa.
Thank you so much!!
Oh my kiddo! You are amazing. Appreciate you and your time. Always fun and funny. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🦔
I love everything!!!

Love the changes. So white rug wasn’t working, curious how you keep white couch clean. I look the light couches but worried about keeping it pristine.

Love the rug! It's perfect!!! The frames are gorgeous! The painting brien got you is stunning!!!😮😮❤❤❤
Hi Katie! Was wondering if you have the link for the car ramp Brynn loves? I need to get for my nephew:) thank you!
Here is the link!! amzn.to/4duYa3f
@@KatieVining thank you so much!!
Can you rearrange the couch to make the L section longer? Might help the rug fit better??

Love the rug…..love it all but the rug most of all..😊
Thank you!!

Looks fantastic ❤ your home is beautiful!
Thank you! ❤
Hi Katie!! Love it all, you have great taste:) I need the link to the car toy…it will perfect for my soon to be 1 y.o. Nephew!!
Use painters tape to outline the corners of where the previous rug layed.
Such a good tip!!
Where did you get the 2 prints on the walls?
Great video! Would you mind linking the car toy? I didn’t see the link-thanks so much!
I LOVE that painting of you but I would change out the matting so it frames it better. You might need a custom matting. Gorgeous
Great idea!!
Katie .. Thankyou for sharing
Please while doing decorating be careful climbing and chores as well..
Thank you! Will do!
Love the painting of you and Brynn. Get another mat to layer with the white one, and you won't be able to tell it's "uneven."
Thank you I love that idea!!
Can you link the exact frame with matting? I’m not sure what size frame you used with the art. You mentioned the prints are 20 x 30.
I would put a clear finish on the tabletop instead of glass!
Your couch should just sit on the edge of the rug, your sitting your couch way on top of the rug making the rug look smaller - love the choice of the rug it’s beautiful
The couch should sit on the rug but just by a couple of inches ( hope that makes since)
One thing I always liked about you is how you handle the snide remarks/comments .. I'll gladly cuss a bih out for you tho, guilt free 😂😂 .. Some of you people in the comments are just ridiculous 😂
So insufferable 🤪😂😂😂 ILY 🫶🏻
I love the rug, and I love the prints but I would hang the prints with a little less of a gap between them for a more balanced and high end look. There’s a rule about it but you’d have to google it. I’m not the expert, for sure.

No glass just put a finish on the top

I think you put the couch to far on the rug. Scoot it back. I think your couch only shoukd be like an inch or so on the rug
Bigger rug
rug is to small!
Thank for showing us what not to do. Tacky!!
Thanks for watching!!
I didn’t 😂 @brendamichelle @arvinolano they are good 👍🏼
@spottie49 I personally can’t wait to see your perfectly designed and decorated space. C’mon, bring it…
You didn’t watch it but it’s tacky? 😂😂 so keep interacting with my video, it pushes it out to more people. Keep hating spottie, you’re helping me 🫶🏻
You need to start teaching your daughter to pick up her own toys.
We do clean up clean up time several times a day. Shes 17 months :)
That's not. Good putting. That print. Saying your child f. Rules. Not. Good at all I'd advice taking it down
Brynn cannot read yet. Maybe with you being the second person mentioning about not a good idea that Katie has it up, she may take it down. That's her decision. Arlene
It’s really not that deep 🤪
Lol the first year of life my daughter did make the rules 🤣. Told me I couldn't sleep longer than 3 hour's also let me know when and where I'd feed her

@crystalnewman4238 Did your parents put up a poster that said “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all”…? If they did, you clearly didn’t read or learn from that. 😒
That’s not a good start to making rules :teaching responsibility by putting up a poster saying the child makes the rules.. 🙄😂.
Idt she can read the sign plus I guarantee they are raising her to follow rules
It’s not that deep
@joekinn69 you sure seem like you’d be fun at parties. 🙄
