*OFFICERS WHO LIE ON REPORTS SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH A FELONY, STRIPPED OF THEIR LAW ENFORCEMENT LICENSE & BANNED FROM CARRYING A FIREARM FOR LIFE*
yup
Until cops go to prison for kidnapping when they do this they'll remain out of control.
@@Kurgosh1 *Until Qualified Immunity is not a legal defense, this sh•t will continue*
actually if they follow through as this officer did, they should get much, muck more than that. A mandatory minimum of 10 years should be a deterrent for other officers who seem to think that lies, false reports, fake charges and illegal detention is a good idea.
Lie to a cop and your in cuffs and off to lockup

Well you'll have to imagine cuz if you dont have evidence of something and you assume it happened then you're a piece of shit.

@@Tfool907 your comment lacks any logic or data. Why did you post at all?
They’re caught but qualified immunity says they are above the law and the constitution which they swore to uphold and defend.
Whenever a cops lies on their report, they should be arrested.
Agreed. Purely because the cop is the one obstructing justice.
@bob smith ¨They should serve double of that - no parole - as this undermines the whole system and the repercussions can be vast.
They should also be permanently banned from working as a cop, security guard and similar jobs that have authority in US.
Qualified immunity..... Remove it.
Then every cop would be in jail.
He shouldn't be a cop if a flashlight hurts his feelings. And the DA should be fired.
What was he doing outside her window?
The DA is the one that dismissed the charges after seeing the video. A bit confused on this statement.

The worst part is not the false arrest and the officer trying to ruin an innocent man's life but how the officer has not been fired or criminals charges brought up against him.

There is nothing worse than an officer willing to make an innocent person a felon for life because of ego.
Snowflake cops are as fragile as teen girls.
We say that we can’t imagine something like this happening because it is so horrible and so greedy us, one person taking it abusing the life of another person and causing them to lose a great part of that life and maybe even losing that life all together, but the truth of the matter is it does happen it happens with impunity and anybody who does that should be punished to the fullest extent of the law and that includes police especially because they should know better
@aluzky ah ok so you’re just a troll going thru every comment tryna defend a cop clearly undeniably in the wrong. Get a life
@AIuzky Yes, it does. He was charged with a felony.
@AIuzky I'm saying the cops ego got in the way. The guy was walking away and momentarily flicked his light in the cops face. The cop, in my opinion, escelated the situation because he was already irritated after the guy shined his light on him while checking on the vehicle. The felony was way overcharging.
That sheriff should be sent to jail for the maximum amount of time that that man was facing
Officer needs to be charged with filing a false police report and abuse of power. It's long past time to take the kid gloves off on the actions of corrupt cops.
I feel corrupt police should be publicly lynched and hung up as a display to warn the other corrupt what's coming to them. This is the people's land. In the supremesy clause of our constitution is something called "the right of revolution" which is where the peyote have the right to completely overthrow a corrupt government. Its our right to set an example of corrupt thru elimination.
In Britain, about a year ago, a Bobby (nickname for police) was seen by another officer switching price labels between cheap carrots and more costly box of donuts.
The 2nd officer reported him. Fired. Never to be a police officer again.
Why can't we have standards like that?
@@veramae4098 Here, in the USA, the cop who reported the other officer stealing, would of been the one fired!
And he needs to be charged with kidnapping, lock him up for a long time, get the message across to other corrupt pigs, and add some corrupt prosecutors and judges. This would take a militia operation, because the system is so corrupt.
@@AdrenalineandEpiphany That time will come if they don't remedy these kinds of situations.
If civilians can be arrested for giving false statements, incorrect information, and misuse of emergency services then cops should DEFINITELY be charged for false arrests and false reports!

All lawsuit moneyies should come out of police retirement funds. They are supposed to be arresting the crooks not being the crooks. 75 percent of cops in this country are bad cops
You are in an abusive relationship if you cannot treat the other party the way that the other party treats you.
@AIuzky lol you are willfully ignorant or didn’t mean to write this to me right.

Then I said if regular people did this they would be arrested, so why do cops get away with it all the time.
I swear you want to oppose someone so bad that you can’t even see, hear, or read!
Blinded by your own stupidity.
This is so much worse when cops do it. It destroys the public's trust, and it's abuse of power. Like another commenter said: Never being able to work as a police officer again - on a federal level, not just in county or state - and criminal charges should be mandatory. And in this case the arrest should be treated as a false arrest and as assault.

In the army there are “rules of engagement” these individuals don’t seem to have them. Maybe it would be in the interests of the people who pay for this if the police and the public had an rules. Public services should have public reviews
There is no such thing as a "leadership position".
He’s a wise man for having his wife record this. I’ve been falsely arrested like this. However there was no video. The cop lied on the stand & the judge believed him. That’s why it’s so incredibly important to record your interactions with the police.
The judge will believe cops over us civilian any day of the week. I think most judges will belive in the cops over like a priest or someone from a religious institution to.
In 65 years my friends and I have had a few minor incidents with police. COPS NEVER TELL the TRUTH in COURT.
Yes, he was smart to get his wife. What I can't believe is the cop allowed him to get his wife
Just think how many are in because of fake hair analysis etc. before we even get to lying cops.
Well how did you get out of it?
I would sue that sherriff and the county.for faulse arrest, lieing to courts, filling faulse reports and for the bond he paid to get out of jail.

Rest assured, lawyers are licking their lips for this one
It's expensive and a huge hassle to sue someone, especially any government official. I understand when people don't ... though I too often wish they would.
filing a false police report with malicious intent, liable and slander, lying on government documents, perjury (they take an oath that what they write is true - that's perjury), malicious prosecution, mental and psychological anguish, obstruction of an investigation, court costs, any costs incurred because of the arrest like towing or bail or lost wages, even the cab/bus/gas ride home! sue him and fire him and don't let him back cuz he's young will just build this insanity from here!

Cops lying like this should result in him charged and fired permanently.

@@montylong7363 Same this Sheriff is an asshole
But noooo, we can’t let our own comarade be fired or punished, and now they wonder why many american don’t trust police anymore.
Without question
Submitting a police report with lies should be grounds for being fired!
Can we start finally holding cops accountable. I’m so sick of this. We all know he’s wrong and he should never patrol again. A lying cop should be an oxymoron
They will be no one left on the police force
Lol I don’t think you know what the word oxymoron means.
It blows my fucking mind that it was just a couple of years ago that the first cop was charged in the death of a person that is black. Like just pure numbers this number should be higher. Just by odds.
Shocking. Disturbing.
Who is training these cops? Our society. We teach them to be like this, we create prisons for money and control and then we ask them to play along, they learn how to be at war against their own people in prison.
Legalize all drugs. Stop putting people in prison, it doesn't help them not do drugs, In fact it hurts them more, making them more sick, turn your backs on them and they show up on your front porch for your daughters. It's real fucking shit. If you're the type playing tribalistic games, You aren't separate. we live amongst eachother, you support fucking society then you yourself and your familiy get fucked by society. It's that simple.
The State police are taught by their field training officer, SGT, Academy, to write a report that will get a conviction for the prosecutor. A lot of times this entails lying, committing perjury, falsifying evidence, destroying evidence. In 1954 in the Sec of State Archives there is a document from the Chief of the State police telling the cadets not to lie on their reports. However, I haven't seen a document like this in the eighties, nineties etc. Good luck Citizens!
No. We. Can't. Right wingers support police brutality and corruption, and that's enough to ensure they will continue to be the very worst criminals in the country.
DA's need to charge felony charges in cases like this. The man's life is in shambles because an officer's felt disrespected....
DAs need to be held accountable for not investigating every charge that comes across their desk.
Second Amendment-ers need to take care of this bullshit the old fashioned way
This officer should have been fired immediately. I wish they sued him.
"Dont be shining lights people could be hurt"
How about dont be creeping outside a girl's bedroom and there will be no need for a flashlight.
Looks like the cop assaulted the guy when he cuffed him.
In so many of the body cam videos it looks like the officers are TRYING to get someone to react. Like they WANT a fight.
Looks like no people of color around so he went after who was available....The coming after you guys now 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

They inflict pain while arresting a person to force a reaction so that they can escalate and call it resisting arrest to justify shooting that person. Go grab a dog and twist its tail so it will bite then you can claim it is a vicious dog so you shot it.
falsifying a police report that leads to anyone being charged, should also lead to the cop being charged immediately after the lies are exposed ... there are no free lunches when it comes to lying on any criminal actions

I hope that this man files a civil lawsuit against the Sheriffs office and the Lt. They had no right to disrupt this man's life.
The only charges and court case should be against the sheriff.
VERY FEW!! Cowards with badges in America get the punishment they deserve. All he has to do is quit, and be hired back next door. Taxpayers pay up, so why would they stop?

It's called "contempt of cop" basically the officer got his feelings hurt.
That officer needs to be charged, fired and put on a list to never be able to get a job as a police officer again

UPDATE : He resigned last November while being investigated. But it was noted that he could be rehired in the future since he voluntarily resigned.
He then opened a pet store with his wife who works for the sheriff's office & the Department then cancelled their existing contract to supply K-9 food & gave it to Huffer for a "significantly higher" amount for exact same food. This payoff was exposed as violating dept. policy against contracts with deputies or their family & was ended.
Despicable
He shouldn't be ABLE to resigne while under investigation for false arrest. It was likely suggested to him by the department so they could end the investigation, never charge him for the crime and rehire him in the future. DO you think if YOU were being investigated you could simply move and end the investigation?
Corrupt to the end.
What a POS
Show me anyone else in society who can commit crimes *and then avoid all consequences by simply quitting their job.*
Nothing the police do ever passes the smell test.
These cops need more jail time.
To the cop in this video: If you didn't want a confrontation with innocent people, don't park in front of their homes.
@Alicia Melendez• this is for every home owner that gets confronted by a dirty cop...buckshot just might save your life!!
Well, if they are authorized to conduct surveillance on a suspect or suspect's home, they will need to park some distance away, which would be in front of someone else's home. But if that's what they are doing, hopping out and arresting a neighbor of the suspect is going to tip the suspect off and make it harder to find out whatever it is they are surveilling for.
Unfortunately parking on the street is legal. So how about just respecting the public. And immediately leaving without incident when asked.

False claims of felony charges on a sheriff, should be met with criminal charges on the sheriff. This is horrendous. I can believe this situation got swept under the rug. This should be a case.
Normally the victim is successfully prosecuted, life ruined and we'd never hear about it because 'cops always tell the truth' in court.

@@ayudameporfavor1146 I grew up in tiny town USA, most isolated part of E. Cali, the PD was renegade and their MO was to beat a guy to pulp then send him to prison for assault on an officer. That was long ago and while there were a couple good guys in that PD, they weren't so good as to help put an end to the barbaric practices.
IDK if it was ever cleaned up, I left in the '80's. I DO know a few cops who were issued street justice, one put in the hospital for a couple weeks. One was removed from the force barely in court after beating a guy up *inside the hospital* in front of 5 nurses...still the jury was hard to convince. Part of problem was that the little old ladies who did their proper jury duty didn't have a clue.
Welcome to American policing.
The cop is a peeping Tom. That’s why he was angry with the dad because he was caught
You’re probably right
That’s a stupid statement and liable. The Lt was wrong and should be punished but nothing indicates he was a peeping Tom.
Lurking outside a young girls window from a car is more like stalking or lying in wait, not really peeping unless he has binoculars with him. Refusing to leave the area shows his commitment to be near the girl, the guy is likely a super predator.
@@ricksundberg5659 Under suspicion of intent to be a peeping tom. His actions were highly suspicious and dad should file or press charges. A good offense is the best defense.

Why do we keep letting this happen, when things get hot & they know they're wrong, they just resign & NOTHING is done. We'll just let him get another police officer job & become someone else's problem & yes, I believe it is a reflection of the ENTIRE department!!
Three levels of corruption here: sheriff office, DA and Judges. How many deputies stepped up to stop this? ZERO. So how can the deputies in this department be called good?
THAT is precisely why 99% of all LEOs are corrupt. Whilst it may only be 30% or so that are out there actively violating people's rights, falsifying reports, and committing corrupt acts, the remainder do nothing to stop them, and are usually willing to back the bad cops up.
