Heavenly Father you have given me more than I know I deserve. I come before You with gratitude being a single mom with two sons with special needs. I pray that you bless me with your love, grace, and strength, as I tirelessly care for my family. I ask that You provide for my every need and sustain me in my daily struggles. Because Lord I’m overwhelmed struggling to pay rent each and every month struggling to buy groceries. I wish I had an easier life. Lord hear my prayers. 💕

My parents were Roman Catholic, but they never took me to church. They stopped going as adults. I became an addict to alcohol and dangerous opioids . I’m a year sober, and for the first time in my life I feel like something or someone is screaming at me to follow, to learn, to join the community I was guided away from, I cry when I listen to these sermons. It’s what I’ve felt all along but ignored. Does anyone have any pointers for my first ever confession? I’m nervous.

Hi, congrats on your year sober! Find a church close to you and talk to the priest there. They have classes to catch you up on all you missed. They will also let you know what you need to do to receive communion, confession and confirmation! God bless you and your journey!

Tell the priest what you said here. Then share what you feel in your heart you need to say.
Jesus loves you and all. Try to go every month on the first Saturday of the month.
Look up a video on how to pray the Rosary.
Hopefully you feel the Spirit move you to complete all your sacraments.
      You are in my prayers.

Talk to a priest or someone who is on the RCIA team at your local parish. Congratulations on you year of sobriety.
Saved by the grace of God...

Go to a local church or look up their confession schedule on their website. When you get there, just say what you know you did was wrong and speak from the heart.
If you so feel to fully integrate to the Catholic Church, ask about the RCIA program so you can receive baptism (if you weren’t already baptized), first communion and confirmation.

Thank you for sharing your personal experiences 💗 Praise God for your testimony & sobriety 🙏 I'm a cradle Catholic who loves our faith ✝️💗 I suggest finding a parish community & priest whom you trust. Perhaps a good friend or faithful Catholic can suggest a good Church to go to? The Sacrament of Reconciliation is special & some priests are more gifted with advice & insight. I also suggest listening to Fr Mike Schmitz who shares wise insight about Reconciliation & many important topics of our faith such as Bible in a Year podcast (also on UA-cam) & weekly videos & homilies ✝️ May God Bless & Guide you on your journey ✝️💗 Mother Mary will help you with her motherly love & care 💗 She's our heavenly Mom 💗 The examine of conscience (various types) may help you prepare for reconciliation too 🙏 Praying for you 🙏💗✝️

Thank you, ABBA, Jesus. Holy Ghost, for Fr Mike -- his witness, respectful liturgy, obvious devotion and dedication, truth, facing challenge, WORD, presence.
We need celebrate the sacrifice of the Mass with him, we need his word and truth, we need his witness. There are so few now. Do most pervasive messages coming out of the church now are there is no sin, no need for confession, no need for repentance, all genders and lifestyles are a-ok, we are our own Divine sparks, we do not need a salvation religion. PLEASE, JESUS, INTERVENE💓🙏🏼

Sacred Heart Novena Prayer: To The Most Sacred Heart I Confide This Intention: (Mention Your Request). Only look upon me, then do what Thy Heart inspires. Let Thy Sacred Heart decide. I count on Thee. I trust in Thee. I throw myself on Thy Mercy, Lord Jesus! Thou will not fail me. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee. Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked Thee for many favors, but I earnestly implore this one. Take it, place it in Thy open, broken Heart, and when the Eternal Father looks upon it, covered with Thy Precious Blood, He will not refuse it. It will no longer be my prayer, but Thine, O, Jesus. O Sacred Heart of Jesus I place all my trust in Thee. Let me never be confounded. Amen. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.) ⛪

Come Holy Spirit, please teach us to admonish our brothers/sisters with wisdom and charity, always with words seasoned with salt. For the benefit of the hearers/readers.. Let them observe our love for one and another and know that we are followers of Jesus. Thank you, In Jesus' Name, Amen
