Totally totally here with you down the rabbit hole binging on Måneskin. And I am the same: straight guy, rocking the heels and the pole dancing. Saw this a few days ago and I was like wow, a whole other level to this band. And then yes yes yes every song is different, rocking, completely epic but still totally them. And they are only just in their 20s. I mean come on!!! The sophistication, the understanding of their staging, their commitment to the performance and the versatility and influence to different songs. Feels like they were intravenously hooked up to Rocky Horror, ACDC, Guns and Roses, Kiss, Rolling Stones, and other greats from the 70s..since birth.
Thanks for reacting to this, and sorry if I've been spamming this request in your previous videos LOL Btw they all said that that one was the hardest performance they had to prepare for X Factor, especially for Damiano of course. And it turned out great in the end. They came in second in the final but they've had far more success than the actual winner after the contest, as it often happens with these talent shows. They also improved a lot professionally and also technically during the program, and they were lucky to have as their judge/mentor a man who was himself the frontman of a band and who gave them the perfect songs to cover. Oh and they also performed a song live together with The Struts (Kiss This is originally by that band) at a The Struts concert in 2019.
During the last few years in Italy talents mainly linked to other musical genres have been born. This is a fact, but that doesn't mean nothing else was born. In fact, Måneskin can be considered - in the best sense of the term - an anomaly compared to the musical panorama of recent years. They seem to be shaped by the seventies, they are charismatic, eclectic and their latest works have literally climbed the charts.
There are a couple of videos around from when they were baby rockers and just recording in their room covering songs. It blows my mind how good they are already back then. Their YT channel also has a mini documentary from their tour for their previous album. Fun to watch
Definitely i get a Rocky Horror vibe here too. Not just because of Damiano, but the look of Victoria and Thomas reminds me a bit of Magenta and RiffRaff. The song is a cover. It's originally by The Struts.

@@Barbara_M. Sorry, I do not agree. Only thing which associates these two bands with Maneskin is some sporadic usage of rapping. Pearl Jam are more similar and, sometime, catchy riffs and ballads bring Maneskin near Marc Bolan.
I can't find any similarities with.Pearl Jam sound and many have said Thomas sometimes brings Frrusciante accents as well as others recall Raginb Against The Machine but hey, it's not a competition, you see what you see 🙂

Really. It's a supreme shame. It's time to put end to this alleged domination of the maccaroni and their holiness! There are dozens and dozens of other formats that deserve respect and consideration !! Other types of pasta matter !!!
I'm not a girl, I'm not a gay but this perfomance on the pole is simply umbelievable and....very tasty too even for a straight man. Art goes beyond any consideration and this Damiano seems to be of fountain from which Art springs freely in a constant flow. His songs, his lyrics, the videos, the energy......Is there something wrong with this guy ? So far I could not find a single defect. Well for my tastes I'd prefer that those Angels (maneskin are all beautiful Angels) would show their tongue a little less but they are twenty and people that age can't do without it, especially when they play rock n roll. But for this detail I found nothing. Nothing wrong at all. They are making my days, my smiles. Getting crazy about the vid of their rehearsal when they were 15. For many years I have always seen young Italians admire the songs of American rock and British pop bands .. Seeing many Americans and English people who appreciate these young Roman boys singing in Italian makes me think that the world is changing, and that when the music is beautiful, the language is not important.
Neither Maneskin and Mon-e-skin, is the right way. You gotta look up how to pronounce the letter å to be able to pronounce it right. There isnt really a way to explain how u pronounce it if you arent from scandinavia.
Måneskin themselves sometimes pronounce it the way she does. It's not an italian nor an english sound so it doesn't come natural to any of us and it's totally fine, I think. If we want to be a 100% precise it would have to be Moh-neh-skin with a very closed 'o', but everyone here in Italy says Man-eh-skin, we gave up ahahaha
The performances on X Factor were outstanding. Take a look also to the cover of The Killers “Somebody told me”. You’ll love it, believe me. And incredibly they didn’t win, they placed second.

If you want to check out other Italian latest talent then good starting with some notable Sanremo entries such as Madame "Voce" but standout performances were particularly with Achille Lauro who was a guest on the show and did some stunning songs with visuals covering all the genres - Glam Rock with "Solo Noi" was particularly outstanding in full Glam outfit as was his duet with Emma Marrone for "Penolope" as a roman statue for the Pop Genre, then Rock n roll genre with "Bam Bam Twist", Punk Genre with "Me ne frego" + "Rolls Royce" and a combined genre with "C'est la vie". Really worth having Achille Lauro on your radar too his "1969 Idol Rebirth" + self titled "Lauro" albums are both excellent - the latter I got as the deluxe Vinyl and has stunning pop up art visuals when opening the gatefold which I also did a youtube video review on him and Maneskin in both English & Italian language.

If you want to check out other Italian latest talent then good starting with some notable Sanremo entries such as Madame "Voce" but standout performances were particularly with Achille Lauro who was a guest on the show and did some stunning songs with visuals covering all the genres - Glam Rock with "Solo Noi" was particularly outstanding in full Glam outfit as was his duet with Emma Marrone for "Penolope" as a roman statue for the Pop Genre, then Rock n roll genre with "Bam Bam Twist", Punk Genre with "Me ne frego" + "Rolls Royce" and a combined genre with "C'est la vie". Really worth having Achille Lauro on your radar too his "1969 Idol Rebirth" + self titled "Lauro" albums are both excellent - the latter I got as the deluxe Vinyl and has stunning pop up art visuals when opening the gatefold which I also did a youtube video review on him and Maneskin in both English & Italian language.
"Kiss this" is a song by The british band "The Struts". But actually Maneskin did a better job with the composition. Don't forget to react to the new single of Mahmood "Klan"
