2:19 That supermarket, "Ley", I went to in December when I was visiting Hermosillo, so I was reminded of familiar sights throughout the video, thank you. El Mercado Municipal was also blocked off at the time I was there but it seems like they're doing more construction particularly near the zócalo.
It was quite busy when I was there so I think weekends like you said or even just night time it seemed like there were a bunch of vendors in spots that were empty at your time of recording. Cerro de la Campana is that hill you referenced, idk if you went up, but it's one of the notable sights in the city and there were some friendly cats at the top as well.😸 Great spot to catch a sunset or relax with the view

When I was young I had to move back with my dad to Hermosillo cuz my mom couldn’t take care of me, my abuela used to take me to the cathedral to sell tamales and champurrado and those were the happiest times of my life

@@jumpstraveldocumentary Absolutely not! He's not missing out on anything-he just doesn't know what or where to order. I'm Mexican and live in Baja California. At one point in my life, I was an ovo-lacto vegetarian, meaning I didn't eat meat but still consumed eggs and cheese. I think this guy follows a similar diet.
Here are some ideas....
For breakfast, he can have eggs in mild salsa served with beans and corn tortillas or eggs with nopales and panela cheese. Other great options include chiles rellenos de queso in tomato sauce, cheese and onion enchiladas, cauliflower capeado en salsa de tomate (egg batter and tomato sauce), squash blossom (flor de calabaza) quesadillas, zucchini with fresh cheese (loaded with veggies, calabacitas con queso), vegetable soup (caldo de verduras) with rice and warm tortillas, and beans, among other delicious choices.
I recommend Nogales. You will love it.

Thank you for your visit. The only thing I'll recommend is to go visit Catedral after 5-6 PM. Since most of Hermosillo downtown is under construction, Catedral is most definitely you go to place, lots of people, lots of culture and people gather there usually between friday and sunday. We got local beer brewery on that same street, restaurants, cafés, etc. You'll get very good recordings there, and you can eat a Coctel de elote since you are vegetarian. Best of luck!

To be honest, Hermosillo is not the exact right place for a vegetarian. We eat a lot of beef and meat. But there are certain places where you can find vegetarian food just like Jung. I hope you had really enjoyed our city. You are welcome any time.

Hot dog its kind of a very popular food here in hermosillo but we call them dogos! And we're proud to say that are the best hot dogs in mexico

@jumpstraveldocumentary you will love it , it's a relax town ,with beautiful mountains,it has a nice river you can relax but I think it has few or nothing water recently , dangerous places could be anywhere around world ,just be careful,there are nice hotels here ,you can try burro Percheron it's a gigantic burrito , " o dogos" a kind of Sonoran hot dog it has avocado,beans, but I remember you are vegetarian,so you can try enchilada ,like tortilla，chilli sauce and onion I recommend you People are respectful here

As someone who is adamant about not eating pork, I can honestly say that putting lard into beans is definitely the worst thing to come from Mexico... 🤷
That's why I rarely ever eat out at Mexican restaurants, nor would I care to go to Mexico, either. 💯
I make my own refried beans using avocado oil and they're great, even non-vegans/vegetarians like them! 👍👍
