If I had to order them in case Cursed Cathedral was a zone in a Sonic game: Your version - Act 1 John Tay's older version - Act 2 John Tay's newer version - Act 3 Your version makes us feel like we're just entering the area, with most of the secrets yet to be discovered. Enemies are plenty, and the path is pretty straightforward. John Tay's older version makes us feel a bit of urgency as there are more hazards introduced to keep you on your toes while his newer version makes us feel we're in the deeper portion of the zone, based on more explorability and discovery. Act 1 is all about staying alert, Act 2 is all about staying fast while still staying cautious, and Act 3 is a slower pace where you have to find your way to the goal (or even the boss). Many secrets remain, and there is no telling what will happen.
BRUHHHHH. I wish I was kidding but when you posted this. I swear on everything on was making a YMF262 cover of this song. The odds of this happening is so low I can't comprehend it. Awesome cover though
I just made a pokemon cover of this for myself and you drop this?? way to make me feel inferior.. no joke though this is amazing!!!! holy shit. what a coincidence that I find it and start listening to it to have it covered.
@@unyu-cyberstorm64 Well, it depends on which type of chip you're using. For example, the OPN/OPM/OPP/OPS use 4-6 operators to achieve a good sound, whereas the OPL2/OPL3/MA-2 use multiple waveforms to achieve the same thing. According to my opinion lol. ( ᴖ ·̫ ᴖ )

This really feels like something out of Dragon Saber 😳
Ok, this legitimately sounds like a cover on a sample chip!! You’re the best chiptuner at FM sound design that I know, keep the good work!

fantastic, full FM sound, I don't feel any need to replace it with wave sample synthesis.
impressive work, if i didn't know this was fm i would've thought this was cd audio
Oh man, this sounds like Jazz Jackrabbit 2 for some reason.
Phenomenal.
how did you make the snare sound like its a sample?!
opz lfo magic
Nice OPZx3 song!😄🤩😎👌
I really want to get these god tier instruments
Wow awesome arrangement with a Yamaha keyboard
If someone were to create a Genesis/Megadrive 2.0 and name it Neptune. I want it to have that sound chip
It doesn't have the SSG-EG or CH3 modes like the OPN series does. It's really just an improved YM2151
This track sounds amazing. Is this because of PCM or are most channels actually FM?
all channels are FM
@@64Abstract that's crazy ... awesome ...

How many Operators per channel?
4
@@64Abstract nice
@@64Abstract does the number of operators or waveform types per operator matter?

@@detective_l2413 it’s cool. Casio’s iPD was line 6op or something iirc. sucks they never made any computer soundchips.
