I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

I have to agree with @JenShea. I would not do STRs in Greece except for times when we aren’t occupying our home there. The taxes are usurious and I’ve even heard they take them off the gross rent although I haven’t confirmed that.
i don't get it .. . how u make money if the state tax is 45% and booking take another 10 or 15 % .. how ? how many houses should u have in order to make money for a coffle ? btw: keep in mind, i didn't even put the house maintenance expenses into the equation... ** doesn't make any sense to pay for a house 275 k and wait roughly 20 years to get a return on investment when u can triple your money in a year on other business .
