The unchained cards can float when destroyed by battle. The wording is just really weird: "If this card on the field is destroyed by card effect, except "Unchained Twins - Sarama", OR BY BATTLE".
Reminds me of Gravediggers trap hole "When your opponent activates a monster effect in their hand or GY, OR WHEN YOUR OPPONENT'S BANISHED MONSTER EFFECT IS ACTIVATED: Negate its effect, ....". I have had people tell me I can't negate banished, because they won't read to the second part.
- Opening the Spell is the only way to end on both traps. With a hand that has trap + 1 of Sarvara/Aruha you don't immediately burn it because you can use it later as either a trap search or a special summon from deck. - G1 searching Aruha was extremely greedy. They could have searched Sarama, then Sarama target Rakea in GY to set + pop and float into Abo/Disaster and immediately threaten backrow/negation in GY. Sharvara was also protection against Imperm/Veiler and would make Sarama float into something else (for example Rakea to pop the extra Escape). Still very hard to win. - G2 turn 3 was a throw, Rakea crashes Gazelle (still triggers), gets Abo (CL1) to discard the 1off Shyama (big blue) and pops Fen THEN Yama CL2 revive Sarama and deal 4500 battle damage. After that (since yama pop is optional), you set TTT and Sarama sets the Escape then pops TTT, Shyama (big blue) pops Abo and revives also Special Summoning Sharvara (big red) and you have Escape (targets Sarama to float) + Caesar. Alternatively, you can give up on Caesar and go Escape + Yama for Sharvara (big red) in hand then link into Rage so that you can bait the BP (known Fen) and Yama will revive Rage back and give you an extra fiend from GY (Abo/Sarama), with Sarvara in hand being discarded for Unicorn to setup additional followup (or popping Anguish to get Aruha as well for the otk).
Unchained have some weird wording... It's a fiend think look at dark world. TLDR they always trigger when destroyed (even under shifter), provided they didn't destroy themselves with their own effects. Here DBG: If this card on the field is destroyed by card effect, except "Unchained Twins - Sarama", or by battle: You can Special Summon 1 "Unchained" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Unchained Twins - Sarama". If this card on the field is [ *_destroyed by card effect, except "Unchained Twins - Sarama_* ] !!! or !!!! [ *_by battle_* ]: You can Special Summon 1 "Unchained" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Unchained Twins - Sarama".
I understand the chimera player was not playing well at all. However, this made me see way more potential in the chimera stuff than I thought. It’s a neat concept to explore for sure
no worries most people get that wrong for unchained cards. it's really annoying when the opponent refuses to believe you because the wording is weird even though the effect continues to say ", or by battle:"
Hi, thanks for the video, i have a question : several times the unchained monsters were destroyed by battle by fenrir, use its f to summon, and on res the opponent didn't try to banish the summoned monsters with fenrir. Does anyone know why ?
I think Unchained Live Twin has an actual chance to be a real deck. Probably not Tier 1 because Shifter and Arise-Heart are definitely cards but I have been testing the deck for awhile and it has a suprising amount of follow up and it can bounce back very well. Plus it allows for anywhere from 6-9 flex spots which is always a plus
Illusion player should be playing a decent level 8 synchro without bike, also the fool in game 1 didn’t set a monster from Sarama. Lastly, read sarama (it also says battle)
That Unchained player just had no idea what they were doing. Game 1 they could've used Sarama to reset the Rakea from grave, pop it, and pop off from there, and game 2 they could've easily gone full combo turn 1, even through ash + droll, if they had just summoned Rakea off Aruha and added it back off Yama. Also why are people keeping in Droll vs Unchained it does literally nothing against a competent player
That unchain guy was bad 😂 he could have just made his link 2 and reset one of his traps. He would have not only got 2 interruptions but got follow up from poping his own cards.
I was thinking the same thing. My guess he/she probably net deck for combos. In never really learned how to play unchained. In only new enough to go into the d/d line from someone online. The problem with net decking you don't know your own combo engine lines are how to creative.

Hope he sees this

I love seeing Unchained get love after being irrelevant for years, but I hate that it wont be the hidden rogue sauce for much longer 😂
Unchained insta click and all the twins have the same effect destroy by battle or card effect
I understand the chimera player was not playing well at all. However, this made me see way more potential in the chimera stuff than I thought. It’s a neat concept to explore for sure
Sarama can set unchained monsters from the grave in addition to the traps. That board should have been broken in game one.
watching the unchained player play was painful
edit: nm both players hollllyyyy
Dbgrinder pumping out that content, i like it keep it up!
she is by battle, its at the VERY end of the activation requirement

Decklist for the heavy Sam
Dont understand why the Unchaindplayer dont set rakea with sarama in Game one.
The SHS player should have omega and then dispater for a hand loop of 3…
How?
4:30????? They has so many plays im so confused why they scooped. These rogue players are buns

All unchained monsters get their effects when destroyed by battle, dbgrinder can't read as usual lmao
Will people plz put their monsters in defense when they see unchained. Like bruh, smh
Or by battle
That was some of the worst Unchained gameplay I've ever seen
Those were some scuffed games
That unchain guy was bad 😂 he could have just made his link 2 and reset one of his traps. He would have not only got 2 interruptions but got follow up from poping his own cards.
Can't believe he made d/d of his own engine
"OR by battle"
NGL Grinder, this video should've never left the drafts 🤦♂🤦♂
I hate when people commit to decks and dont know how to use it
He could've set blue unchained from grave and popped it game one to go into the big blue dog and link climbed 😡
