I was, and still am, a salsa dancer from Havana streets. Now in Miami, I'm updating the figures, and Kentucky is one of the new ones added to the list. The "casino" in Cuba is danced in schools and streets, and, before the internet, each group had specific figures, beyond the general basic ones, like "el deo", 70, 84, 79, enchufla, dile que no, pelota, prima, etc. There are many figures created in many places, but this one caught my attention because I don't remember it from Cuba, especially with the "Kentucky" name.
    Great teachers! Thanks!

I never have actually seen a video of a person from Cuba doing a 'Kentucky' -> the name is a bit of a give away. I do the move myself the odd time, but I know it is not 'Cuban'. From what I gather it may be attributed to Rene Gueits (Salsa Lovers video) or someone that does that style of dancing he started covered by 'Salsa Lovers' -> a hybrid Salsa-on-1 / linearized Casino hybrid, I'm not even going to give it a label as that leads to confusion. That video series has probably led to the biggest misunderstanding of how Casino is actually danced.
