I relate so much to this. My mom spoiled me and never let me do anything in the house. When she died, I was left alone and unprepared for life. I understand she was doing what she thought was best but it was in fact worse. UA-cam had a huge part in my learning process of how to cook and clean.
I was fascinated watching you iron today. I've never seen anyone use the square end of the ironing board to do shirts before, I always use the pointed end especially for the yolk. I will definitely be trying your way when I have to iron my husband's business shirts this week. My mum also taught me how to iron shirts the same way you do. Great watching as usual.

I would suggest buttoning the top button after a shirt is on the hanger. I find it helps the garment keep it's shape and prevent any slippage of the hanger.

Hola 👋 un vídeo tretenido y buena limpieza ,yo cuando limpio a fondo solo me enfoco en esa área si no no se termina nunca .Decirte que me ha sorprendido mucho tu planchando pero tiene buen arte jajaja planchando las abuelas que razón tenían y lo bien que lo enseñaron por lo menos también la mía que era muy exigente y yo creo que he salido a ella por medio de ella me decía como tenía que tender la ropa como doblarla ni que me saldría vamos un poquito más porque me lo hacía doblar tres veces más y me decía que se lo sabes hacer sabes mandar y que razón jajajaja 🤣. Vaya trabajo que te has buscado con los pajaritos también eh ahí se ve que te gusta mucho los animales y lo bien que lo cuidas.Esperovque estéis bien nosotros bien 💞 los oído el izquierdo tengo todavía que se quiere entaponar pero no me ven nada estraño ahora estoy con el fisio tengo la espalda fatal ya llevo dos sesiones y no noto mucha mejoría de la tensio que ago .Este fin de semana me boy con mi marido y unos amigos a desconectar y disfrutando de la pareja que también biene bien .Así que no sé cuándo pontre mi casa al día .Que pases buen finde 😘💞
Mi abuela era muy lista y nunca hacía exigencias. Yo era un niño muy obstinado. 😂 Entonces, en lugar de eso, ella haría algo y luego me preguntaría si quería ayudar. Por supuesto, siempre lo hice. 😂 Amo la naturaleza cuando está afuera de mi ventana. 🤣 Tuve problemas con mi back once. Espero que no vuelva. El estiramiento puede ser muy útil. Hi Randi I always look forward to my Fridays with you. Your videos are very motivating. I live in SoCal I wanted to know what kind of gloves you wear when you’re cleaning and where did you get them?
Nitrile gloves. You can get them on Amazon.
Do you always just use a damp microfiber cloth on your wood furniture? Or, do you occasionally use furniture polish?
It depends on the furniture. The bedroom needs to be oiled a few times a year so it doesn't dry out. We don't have a lot of wood that needs polish.

Hi Cynthia! There's no easy answer to that question. I prefer down pillows, but they loose their shape over time. 🤷🏼♀️ I wish I had a better answer.

Your white socks look so perfect how do you keep them so white? Mine well most of mind in up with balls of lint on them or they don't keep the crispy white look.
I have that problem with some of the t-shirts. It may be the material. A lot of the socks are new..ish. but hot water and vinegar in the rinse. oxyclean helps too.

❤️it is not good for the hummies to have such strong sugar water. They should have 4 parts water to 1 part sugar. In other words, 1/4 cup sugar in 1 cup water.

Il y a eu des moments dans ma vie où j'étais à la maison assez longtemps pour dormir et ensuite retourner au travail. heureusement, mon mari a toujours été impliqué dans les tâches ménagères. Oui, j'enseigne les maths aux élèves du collège. mais pas les cours. Je travaille pendant la journée. Je suis inutile après le dîner. Je nettoie pendant une courte période le matin avant le travail. Mais cela ne se fait pas toujours. Bonne chance!

I was told at the Bird Store that you should use filtered water(or bottled spring water) for the hummingbirds. They are very susceptible to things like chlorine and other stuff they put in tap water. I also was told not to dye the water. The birds will find your feeders without the dye.
Hi Diane! I agree. Filtered water is always best. Boiling the water removes the chlorine from the water. As long as the feeder is brightly colored, die is unnecessary. I add a drop of color so I can easily see how much is left in the filter. TFS! 🥰

Partly the camera...😂 He does go through socks (literally) so they get replaced pretty often. But I wash the whites in hot water, with detergent, vinegar in the rinse, and oxyclean. Thank you!

Eu carrego vídeos no dia anterior, mas o processamento das legendas não termina antes do vídeo sair. Sempre há um atraso. Esta semana há um problema com as legendas e não sei como corrigi-lo. Hi Linda! I don't have a filter in the dishwasher. Which is probably why it doesn't clean anything. 😂 But I always put off ironing until I have nothing left to wear. 🤦🏼♀️ I get caught up and vow to stay on it...and then I have nothing to wear 😂 Our Halloween was very quite, and now, I'm stuck with 5 kilos of chocolate and no way to work it off! 😳 thanks so much and have a wonderful week! 🥰

I am finding yout videos so helpful. I did not learn to clean as a child and never formed the routines that obviously are so helpful.
As an adult I have stared forming my own routines. I'm great with dishes and laundry now to expand to cleaning...
Hi Marcia! I learned to clean, but I didn’t learn how to do it efficiently. It took a lot of experimentation to find routines that work. It’s still an ongoing process. Good luck. 👍🏻

Hi Virginia! I do sometimes. The bedroom furniture needs to be oiled twice a year. But the microfiber works really well with just water for almost everything. Thank you!

Hi Randi. I recently found and subscribed your channel and have been enjoying your videos very much. Thank you for the inspiration! I am a terrible homemaker and trying to get much better. I have so many questions! How much time do you spend per day or week on cleaning? Do you consider yourself a full-time homemaker, or have other significant occupation(s), and if F-T homemaker, do you think your cleaning routines would be any different if this weren't the case? You seem to have a great routine which is what I would like to develop, but it's hard for me to get over the hump because there's so much dirt to get through - I'm not even sure how to clean some things properly. Also, I find I'm not motivated to "clean" surfaces that don't seem dirty (you always seem to wipe down everything tho almost everything looks clean already to me on video - I'm sure that's part of your success in keeping everything so nice), so I hold back when areas seem either "too dirty" or "too clean" and there's only a small sweet spot where I'm actually motivated to take action -- and even then I often don't fit it in around work, kids, personal relaxing time like reading, gardening, etc. I also have a weird aversion to cleaning when my husband and/or kids are around, and since Covid that has been most of the time (starting to change slightly, but husband still works from home most days). If you'd like to respond with any thoughts I'd appreciate it, and regardless I will keep watching and hope to "get with the program" at least with gradual improvement. 😊
Hi Jodi! I had to come up with an efficient system when I was working and going to school. I had no time for anything. I never feel like cleaning...or exercising...or going to work, but it has to be done. It's sooo much easier to spend 15 minutes a day on dusting, vacuuming, bathroom, etc. to keep things clean. Routines make it easier to keep the house clean. The key is consistency.

Grazie molte! Io uso panni per la pulizia in microfibra. Di solito ho un link nella casella della descrizione. Tenere in ordine la casa è una battaglia costante. ma ecco alcune abitudini che aiutano: Non lasciare mai una stanza a mani vuote. Abbi un posto per ogni cosa e metti ogni cosa al suo posto. Non mettere giù qualcosa quando puoi metterlo via nello stesso lasso di tempo. Concediti la grazia, non esiste una cosa perfetta.

Να πω κάτι τώρα που σε είδα να σιδερωνεις πουκάμισο εγώ πρώτα κάνω την φασα που είναι πίσω από το γιακά μετά τα μανίκια και τέλος το υπόλοιπο πουκάμισο όταν το βάλω στην κρεμαστρα κλείνω το πάνω κουμπί του γιακά και είναι τέλειο αν θέλεις δοκίμασε το μήπως σε βολεύει φιλιά πολλά
Ευχαριστώ πολύ για την συμβουλή! Ξεχνώ πάντα να κουμπώνω το πάνω μέρος. Αλλά κολλάει όμορφα όταν το θυμάμαι.

My washer and dryer are in my garage as well. I love how yours looks. I’m going to add a cabinet around me washer and dryer like yours. So pretty.
