The success of this episode inspired the musical episode of That's So Raven, and the success of both opened the door to High School Musical. Whatever royalties Jim Wise gets contractually, it's not enough for the era he sparked.
I love the style parodies they did in this episode. This one and "6th Period" are supposed to be like "Master of the House." and "One Day More" from Les Mis
Welcome lads, now i must enforce, your participation in the obstacle coarse, designed by me with no remorse . I'm the master of the gym, master, I'm the master, I'm the master of the gym. Faster, for the master, patience has run thin. This is a test that you won't forget, You'll be soaking wet with sweat. Hurry up or you will regret, ending up like him. Master, I'm the master, I'm the master of the gym. Faster, for the master, For your future will be grim. How much more of this are we going to take? I mean there's 20 of us and one of him. You have lost your authority, This here is a mutiny, from now on now it's plain to see, We're the masters of the gym. Masters, We're the masters, We're the masters of the gym, Faster for the master, for your futures looking grim. masters, we're the masters, now we're getting back at him, Masters, we're the masters, we're the masters of the gym.
One thing I loved about Even Stevens compared to the other Disney shows that some episodes then dont try to force a message or the typical Disney message certain episodes or majority of us just pure entertainment and slapstick
When I was a kid I heard all the words, but only remembered "Masters of the gym." I didn't even know what "master" or 'mutiny" meant. I just enjoyed the funny song, lol.
Me too!!! Who new that Shia would end up being a big star! Everyone says how hot he is, but I can't help but laugh when I think of him in even stevens!!!
i wouldn't really give pushing around as a condition for acting as such. i kinda view this as like an issue of 'skin in the game' like the gym teacher is enforcing an obstacle course that he himself could not or would not do? It's like a maths teacher assigning a test that the maths teacher hself cannot answer or like a doctor prescribing medication that the doctor wouldn't contingently take 'Never buy a product that the owner of the company that makes it doesn't use, or, in the case of, say, medication, wouldn't contingently use.' - Nassim Nicholas Taleb but yeah when the teacher has no skin in the game, MUTINY!
hehe I record even stevens and lizzie mcguire on WGN Superstation. this episode is one of my favorites... that and the halloween one where louis's costume is a penguin jockey :D
There was ONE of him, and there's 20 of THEM. Do the Math. Imagine if this came out today, especially in California of all places and with Newsom in Office. OMG.
well he does have PTSD but eh, funny still. (i get to laugh despite shia's PTSD because i have a mental illness too. it's like african americans calling each the n word)
20 year later and I just realized they said "You've lost your authority." I always thought it was "Thorn-sy" which I know isn't a real word but it's what I heard.
@kiyoshi85 What about Raven Symone, Christy Carlson Romono, Orlando Brown, Analisa Van Der Pol, Tia, Tamara, and Taj Mowry. I'd say around 2006- early 2007 was the offical death of DIsney(reason being because I liked Lilo and Stitch, Kim Possible, and I wanted to see how they ended American Dragon: Jake Long. Wasn't that big a fan of ADJL though just liked it for the dragons).
Makes you wonder what happened in reality. Did Louis have actually do the exam or did he find an excuse? Imagine if it did happen like this and how Ren would react.
Louis had a win in his sixth period class, while Ren failed hers. Since it’s her dream, maybe ren truly does believe that Louis always finds a way. As he did, by realizing how he and the class outnumber their sadistic gym teacher.
The success of this episode inspired the musical episode of That's So Raven, and the success of both opened the door to High School Musical. Whatever royalties Jim Wise gets contractually, it's not enough for the era he sparked.
he may be a sadistic bastard here, but the guy who plays the coach wrote all the songs in this eppy! mind=BLOWN
Whoaaaa
Tugnut is the man
I found that out from listening to the Even More Stevens podcast. He also performed the Goofy Goober (ROCK!) song in the SpongeBob movie.
The one episode that literally WAS a fever dream.
I've always wanted to sing this to my clients when personal training
they'll gang up on you and you'll lose your authority
JaxBlade do it!!
Haha, do it!!!
this episode makes a lot more sense when you realize it's a fever dream XD
Everybody couldn't wait to watch this episode when it came out. 2002 memories...
James Johnson ikr!!
Omg, I remember when I couldn't wait for it !!
All these years later, I still randomly get this song stuck in my head now and then.
I get What's The Matter With Ren and the It's Just An Award
Fun Fact: Jim Wise composed all the songs on this episode.
now here is guy who likes his job, most of the time.
Just a random tidbit for yall: the gym teacher did Spongebob's singing voice in The Spongebob Squarepants Movie when he sang the Goofy Goober song
Jim Wise and he was nelson minklers's singing voice
@@patdornoff9383 and
The Gaming Pigeon thanks! might check out more of this guy then.
Oh I remember this show when it was still on. I loved it and it still has it's charm.
+Jess3674 i saw this episode last night during Disney replay
I love the style parodies they did in this episode.
This one and "6th Period" are supposed to be like "Master of the House." and "One Day More" from Les Mis
man i miss Even Stevens!! that was the best show ever!!!
GOAT
Certified hood classic. Banger
Jim Wise (Coach Tugnut) is a Renaissance man. He is a gentleman and a scholar.
this song is so catchy
i'll be stuck in my head for the rest of the day :D
Anyone else notice that when Tugnut is on the treadmill that the treadmill isn't moving?
If this counts as a vilain song, then it's the best vilain song ever
Welcome lads, now i must enforce, your participation in the obstacle coarse, designed by me with no remorse .

Masters, We're the masters, We're the masters of the gym, Faster for the master, for your futures looking grim. masters, we're the masters, now we're getting back at him, Masters, we're the masters, we're the masters of the gym.
STEVENS!!!!
one of the best shows ever.
I couldn’t believe when I found out the actor who played Tugnut actually wrote all the songs in the episode
Such a good show. They need to bring this show back.
I'm sure there's always reruns somewhere. If there isn't, then there should be. October 1, 2019, 1:10pm
“Hey COACH! Let’s see how you feel about being worked out!!!”
THATS how the students are feeling!!!!
One thing I loved about Even Stevens compared to the other Disney shows that some episodes then dont try to force a message or the typical Disney message certain episodes or majority of us just pure entertainment and slapstick
Just like Lizzie McGuire and Phill Of The Future.
Most shows were like that before pure entertainment
When I was a kid I heard all the words, but only remembered "Masters of the gym." I didn't even know what "master" or 'mutiny" meant. I just enjoyed the funny song, lol.
I'll have the answer to that mutiny means take control of the ship and hold the captain in place as for master it means the teacher or supervisor
VILLAIN SONG!
my favorite series of all Disney Orginal series.
Me too!!! Who new that Shia would end up being a big star! Everyone says how hot he is, but I can't help but laugh when I think of him in even stevens!!!
Harambe will see you now.
@1:14, the treadmill doesn't move. i remember feeling so proud that i noticed that as a kid AHAHA
i love when everyone gangs up on Tugnut
lol after all this time, until now, i realized the treadmill isn't turn on when coach tugnut is on it.
I remember that when I watched this when I was about 6 or 7, I was so scared that PE was actually going to be like that.
then maybe you missed the point? i think the point if PE was gonna be like that, then be like louis twitty and co XD
0:42 More classes should act that way when their teacher's pushing them around.
i wouldn't really give pushing around as a condition for acting as such. i kinda view this as like an issue of 'skin in the game' like the gym teacher is enforcing an obstacle course that he himself could not or would not do? 'Never buy a product that the owner of the company that makes it doesn't use, or, in the case of, say, medication, wouldn't contingently use.' - Nassim Nicholas Taleb
but yeah when the teacher has no skin in the game, MUTINY!
What a sadistic gym teacher XD
Seriously, I don't remember him being THIS bad in other episodes--then again, everything's magnified in a musical :-)
Is this from The Even Stevens episode called Influenza: The Musical?
Yes.
cool clip. Jim Wise aka Loud Howard from the Dilbert cartoon show a few years back is great in this clip as Coach Tugnut.
Memory unlocked
wasnt this the greatest show disney ever had?
XD probably not, but it was SO AWESOME!
Im so glad its coming back!!!!
Love it! I used to love this show
I feel bad for the guy in the cage
This and "6th Period" are absolute brilliance.
this is the BEST funniest song I heard in a VERY Long time! -laughs- Go Steven!
THIS used to be my favorite show in disney channel i was so sad when they stoped filming it,i still am.
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."-Dr. Seuss
Disney + now has all the episodes
coach tugnut can SING.
🐐 episode
hehe I record even stevens and lizzie mcguire on WGN Superstation. this episode is one of my favorites... that and the halloween one where louis's costume is a penguin jockey :D
hahah, amen! this always did make me think of master of the house.
This scene made me fear high school gym so much, LOL.
There was ONE of him, and there's 20 of THEM. Do the Math. Imagine if this came out today, especially in California of all places and with Newsom in Office. OMG.
0:15,0:21,0:32,1:00-1:01,1:08,1:15
holy shit i misss this show
all the good shows are goneee :(
but they have good ones now too!
Footage of Shia adjusting during his current jailtime
well he does have PTSD but eh, funny still. (i get to laugh despite shia's PTSD because i have a mental illness too. it's like african americans calling each the n word)
@djtforeal It's on when Louis slides backwards at 0:37. It's only off for the high-speed settings where the actors could actually get injured.
20 year later and I just realized they said "You've lost your authority." I always thought it was "Thorn-sy" which I know isn't a real word but it's what I heard.
Whomever disliked this video...lost their balance on the treadmill after Coach Tugnut pressed the high speed button on it.
Wish they would play this song at my gym tbh
He's the master of the gym
Damn, Tugnut can sing!
do they realise theyjust caust a revolt?...cus...IT WAS AWSOME THAT THEY DID! ^^
in the end, louis did find a way
not a revolt. A MUTINY XD
J Bruce Feynman Niccolo P. Bentulan ah yes, there is a difference
louis is the funniest i really wish that even stevens would come back
I randomly sing this song to my chihuahua when it pops in my head
Whenever someone talks about 6th period, that song plays in my head.
Hilarious episode!
great vid favs
I’m on such a nostalgia trip….
It's hilarious looking at Shia then and now. Such a vast difference, but he is a talented actor.
that treadmill ain't moving
@kiyoshi85 What about Raven Symone, Christy Carlson Romono, Orlando Brown, Analisa Van Der Pol, Tia, Tamara, and Taj Mowry. Nice voice.
He should've told Bumblebee to give the Coach a wedgie
My worst nightmare is real! AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!😱
@Paigethedemon haha I remember when I first saw this episode, I was so proud of myself for noticing that the treadmill was off
Masters of the Gym...that's a Les Mis spoof waiting to happen ;)
0:31, prison rape, thx for uploading, i miss old gen disney channel, they seem to need a guest star on all their shows now
LOUIS!!!!!!!!
0:29 😂😂😂
The cage guy was on "yes dear" as adult Sammy
Who knew Tugnut could sing
same, it loads about half way then gives up and dosent work lol
Who ever though Shia LeBeouf would ever end up as a great freakin actor.
@kiyoshi85 - I agree. All the talent went away in 2004(?) *sigh*
ahaha this is soo funny
this must have been such a fun tv show to shoot. i miss it so much. when did i grow up? what happened? D:
Cool 😎
Me too! :(
if your looking for the phantom reference, its right in the beginning, the mask
Thanks.
Faster on the master of the master of the gym move faster for the master patient has gone thin
Clearly inspired by Master of the House in Les Mis?
I'm the master of the house move faster for the master
This thing kind of reminds me of Phantom. (segment I mean)

Can you upload it again?
Ok, anyone else getting a circus or P.T Barnum vibe from the melody?
if school really worked like this i wouldn't mind going!
Where could u find episodes of Even Stevens?? please reply TY
Now, why didn't they ever gang up on Tugnut on other episodes? They could have taken him down!
