    The Cajuns that are from "down the bayou" are the true Cajuns. These old boys here are the authentic article. They also have Native American bloodline as well. The Cajuns are always ready to give a helping hand when things are down and out. Truly good people. I'm proud to be from Louisiana.

    I love these guys. I love the closeness of all the families that I see on the show. You can tell it's genuine. Even when they argue it screams of sincerity. The family bonds are awesome but so are the bonds between just about ALL of the families down that way. Sure, they are competitors but they still realize at the end of the day that they are one giant family, doing the same thing and all trying to provide for their family, doing something that they seem to truly love. I think one main reason that so many Americans love the show is that too many of us wish that we still had that relationship with our families and even our fellow community members and their families as well. They remind us of a time in which we put relationships above just about everything else. That lifestyle seems to have paid off back then and it seems to pay of in modern times as well. God Bless them all and may they remain loyal to their way of life and traditions.

    I've been to Louisiana a few times, I have family in the Greater New Orleans area. I lived in New Orleans for a few months. However, I've never been to Houma, or anywhere in the swamp. When I do make a return trip to Louisiana, I want to visit the swamps.

    Comment allez-vous sha !? I lived down there during the wild old days of the early 80's, right off Hwy 90 in Bayou Blue. I spent many a Friday at the Satellite Club. I am in Pittsburgh now, I do get my Community Coffee shipped to me, but aww sha! what I would not give for 5 lbs. of crawfish yeah!! :)

    Hey, what happen this season, I don't see them featured so far, I'm 4 shows in.
    Also, I still hear the narrator calling Troy the 'king' of the swamp, wasn't that settled at the end of last season?
    I'm really confused, this season everyone took much less tags, a lot less are getting caught, and there are tons of bad things happening, poor willie got bit TWICE, and shot by his father. Is this what the season is going to be like? I sure hope not.

      His mother could be part Creole. You never know.

    • @TheGeoScholar
      @TheGeoScholar 6 років тому

      Actually, he and his father are from the Houma Native American tribe. He might have some African blood, but he is Native American as far as I know.

    • @stevenporras798
      @stevenporras798 6 років тому +1

      TheGeoScholar These white guys are not Natives. Just because you have some Native American blood doesn't give you the right to claim it. Just look at them.

    • @easybakedkike8030
      @easybakedkike8030 5 років тому +8

      @@stevenporras798 The son is definitely mixed because of his white mother. But the father is clearly Native and there's no denying it. He looks 100% native. No white man has those facial features.

    • @dayzdnconfuz3d
      @dayzdnconfuz3d 4 роки тому

      Both of them are mixed somehow! 23 and me please ! The son looks more like my family and we are like 1% African- but his dad looks native -

  • @stevenporras798
    @stevenporras798 6 років тому +1

    They're white with French last names. How are they Native.

    • @sietsejohannes
      @sietsejohannes 5 років тому +2

      I will never understand the American obsession with Native purism. Isn't it equally cool to you that there is still some French original settler culture left in Louisiana after more than 200 years of Anglicization?

    • @brendajones5028
      @brendajones5028 5 років тому

      That's what I was thinking..heehee I'm darker than they are ..really sick of them saying that Whites
      Did not except them when they were growing up ? Sorry but they do not look Native American .
      Please keep your comments to yourselfs and leave them out of the show its a Big Turn Off..
      Still would like to know how you were picked on by White People because honey you both look White or maybe mix of something
