I love how Dooleys parents are totally on board they knew their son did wrong not many parents are willing to admit that everyone’s kids nowadays are perfect little angels hell no they aren’t
I know Bobby was supposed to be the voice of reason here, but it burns me that he didn't side with his mother for getting publicly humiliated. Maybe this scene would work better for me if his and Hank's roles were reversed.
Well he had a point. A teacher is suppose to set an example and be above the provocations of an unruly child who needs to be sent to the principals office.
@@dogman-fx9ub speaking from experience, taking the high road with a class full of brats does nothing but encourage those brats to escalate the bullying and sending them to the principal also does nothing because the "punishment" is minimal, if they're punished at all. What those kids did to Peggy was a glimpse into what my 8th grade chemistry class was like. And I was merely a witness
Nowadays what Dooley did would be considered assault of the xtual variety (gotta keep it coded for Big Daddy UA-cam). Even with the unauthorized spanking, he'd be catching a charge.

0:09 - It's darkly funny how you can see him mentally reliving past trauma when describing Ol' Spanky.
Cotton's love for capital punishment trumps his hatred of Peggy.

To be fair to Bobby, he was likely subjected to ridicule about the whole spanking incident off-screen.
