If L is good for you, I'd prefer that. After all XL is heavier. If L is too small for needed equipments, consider couple of pouches. If it still too small, then choice the XL. Some users buy both just in case 😏 Greetings from Finland!
After 2 years I came to watch this video again and I see my comment :)
In the meantime I got this backpack in black(more civilian friendly) and I am very glad I did,I love it.
I actually got a sidepouch 8L for sides, and hatka for longer adventures in the wild.
Absolutely no problem with wear or tear of material or buckles ,even tho I use it allmost exclusively if I need a backpack through week,and every other sunday it is heavily abused in my "hikes",mostly through thick forests,no paths or roads.

This video is what convinced me to get the Jaakari M, and I love it.
Probably a bit over kill for my white collar job at the office and occasional expedition of one day hike in the nearby mountains but hell is it cool to have one.

it would be so nice if you guys redesign the M a little bit. Make the Molle like on the L version so you can attache a bigger waistband. also make shoulder straps to adjust. that would be perfect! but anyways i have of course both M and L and they are the best backpacks ever. they withstand a lifetime! btw i love the buckles to attach any other big pouch, great idea!

Honestly, I got other Savotta items (mesh bags, foldable bags, mat, side pouches for my medium backpack) and the quality is *fantastic*. I would have loved to go "all the way Savotta".
There are even some items from other brands that I thought "Ah, if Savotta did it, they would get it right".
I’m sure "better design" implies more things that can go bad. I like it as is.

@@SafeRemain very good. Its in everyday use. I use it mainly to bring my clothes and stuff to cabin and when i go food shopping with bicycle or walking, i use it. Best backpack i have ever used. I also bought 2x Savotta 6L side pouches and hit them on sides.

Looks like it would be stong enough to put some stuff inside after a food shopping. My Eastpack got a hurt after loading it with a 6 pack 1,5l coke so i was looking for a new Rucksack.. lol

Ah. If only Savotta also produce 22-25L backpack for daily usage. I now use Direct Action Dragon Egg Mk.1 . Nothing is wrong with it. It has been with me for 3 years and still looks okay, no signs of tearing, just fading black color. I'm getting bored though

@@casioak1683 You'll have easier time checking out Jääkäri S, bud above got it a little wrong. Also for daily use I'd recommend the LJK 202, a bit smaller and simpler, but a lot cheaper and absolute utilitarian perfection.
@@zimbabwejim7153 hmm. Savotta looks utilitarian with its MOLLE webbings.. but 202 looks more office/urban bag.. looks perfect for casual/daily backpack

After 4 years of use. ( Im a Arborist and Forrestworker, Hiker and Backpacker )
The bag it self in made is very solid and will not break...
But it has multiple design flaws, that will lead to you either hating it, or wont use it.
I might even dare to say, the Company is a little bit of cheap arses . Its a fairly expensive pack, and if u want it to perform at its best, you need addentional buys.
It could easly be turned into a much better product with no cost at all for the company, but yea... money talks so you have to do it youre self out of ur own pocket.

what worries me about this pack is the waist belt width. Does the waist belt help alleviate any weight off the shoulders and back?
@@mettadata1504 It do help out a ton, but easy could have been better, if ur thinking about buying the pack, i would not recommend it. unless u want to do alot of costomzing urself.

Usually they fit two, but if you don't mind them being a little uncomfortable then you can fit 3 or 4 small ones as long as you push a little.
you should get me to lift the 140kg pack.

The pack is very good on almost anywhere on endurance part but this pack is not a waterproof one so you should get some kind of inside pack liner or outside cover for further waterproofing

Sure, you could use the hydration bladder compartment for that. But since it's not padded you should use a protective cover for the laptop.

Ich würde dir zu Größe M oder S raten.
Die Größe M würdest du als geräumigen Tourenrucksack wahrnehmen, der wahrscheinlich deinen kompletten Rücken abdeckt.
