@elijah_trains Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you want to travel on an Azuma, LNER operate them on nearly all of their East Coast Main Line services.
ScotRail is struggling to keep them operating reliably, at speeds no higher than 100mph. They’re pushing 50 years old and have definitely had their day, unfortunately.
Sadly, I agree with this but fully understand the reasoning. I think my main problem with the HSTs going is that whatever ScotRail get to replace won't match them in terms of passngers comfort. If it's 222s, then that'll be fine, but if it's extra 158s from TfW, for example, then they'll lose a proper intercity style service. Even though I quite like 158s.
The river near Berwick-upon-Tweed is the River Tweed, not the Ness. Thanks, commenter, for correcting me.
Good video

@@Pulsarnix yeah I do plan going to London kings cross station for my review but yeah I do plan on that soon
@@Pulsarnix when LNER operated the 43s and 91s they were so much better than the Azumas
That was the River Tweed, not the River Ness when approaching Berwick Upon Tweed. Xx
Whoops 🤦♂️ An easy mistake to make when there's multiple rivers in one video. Thanks for the correction 👍
@@Pulsarnix Not a problem. I can understand your confusion. Xx 😂 👍
Thanks for a great video too. Would love to take that journey one day. Xx
If LNER kept the HSTs operating on the Highland Chieftain that would be so much better
Yes it would
