I love to be able to put veggies in my recipes to get the family to eat more of them. My son is 15 years old and my girls are 31 and 34 years old. They all eat just about any vegetable out there but would rather skip the veg and go for meat and potatoes. So on Sundays when the family gets together for dinner you can bet this will definitely be on the table. Thanks so much for the recipe. Good thoughts sent to you :)

Delicious! Made this today using your cornbread recipe. It was a hit for my family. The squash made it moist and added nutrients. Thank you!

Try this, take an icepick and punch a hole in the bottom of your can. This will allow it to draw air and it should slide right out. Be careful, don't jab yourself with the icepick. I learned this from getting jellied cranberry sauce out of the can. This sounds great, I love squash and cornbread, I will definitely try this recipe. I also subscribed to your channel.

this looks alot like what i call squash casserole. Only difference icook my squash in 1 stick off butter with the onions and when i get everything mixed i add between 4oz and 8oz od mild cheddar cheese and nux again. Now you can eat like this or cook in oven. I dont add eggs to mine. I also use 2 boxes of jiffy corn bread instead of regular cornbread and mines de li ucious. Thats the reason you can eat witout cooking cause i dont use eggs. I hope you try my way and see hiw you like it and lo et me know

How many yellow squash did it take to get 3 cups? I have boiled squash and I know it cooks down a lot!

Would the frozen squash work in this recipe in case the fresh isn't available?

I'm from Georgia and I seen every squash casserole there is and cornbread casserole is the best with the squash but I usually yellow and zucchini and onion as you cook but people over cook the squash they over and mix it and it's like Swap and it is not good people just overmix it

Would have been better if you would have held some raw cubed squash back and added it after you mixed everything else before you put it into the dish to cook. The end result would have left you with larger pieces of squash within your dressing. If you really enjoy the squash that is!
