Slow and steady works in lots of setting but , out on the road , slow and big are better than slow and small .lol Glad you made it , thinking you will get home OK.
I bet that was fun! I helped with Simon’s big Fowler at Lydiard park, the run to and from was fantastic! You’ve got to be careful with Mr Nuttall and whistles, he seems to be somewhat cursed!😜🤣
You might be surprised at what is allowed, but you will have to usually jump through a lot of hoops and such to get it on the road. Don't expect much help from the DMV either.
Absolutely brilliant mate! What a great way to get to the rally! I bet you really enjoyed that! I'd call that a success. 👍😁
Thanks 👍 It felt like I earned a beer that night!

Got home fine, thank you 👍
Tyre now fixed and ready for another rally this weekend.
Standby for a new video early next week!
Well for starters I’m jealous of your gorgeous house, let alone the engine!
Ha. Cheers. Been here for 20 years now.
Great video & great weather ... Hoping to pick my first 3" engine up next week although I won't be doing this with her 😂
Good luck with the collection. It's great to get on to a rally, but best to start applying ASAP.
Excellent video I really enjoyed it . Well filmed interesting and drama.Nice to see somebody game enough to try a long road run.
Glad you enjoyed it. Just need to fix the tyre now!
Thanks, looked like fun!!
Wish I could have been there.
It's was great, but a little stressful at times!
@@SteamOTR I could feel it, yes!
Excellent stuff, true 'adventure' steaming; I'm sure your local ATS could find you a remould 😉
Did try the on-site tyre guy. He didn't have any stock :-)

Whistles and wheels..........
@@SteamOTR haha yes!
Sorry to hear about your problems Dan ,good to see you at the rally Dave
Not really too many problems - got to expect a few. All apart from the tyre are sorted already, so all good.
Love watching your UA-cam channel really great footage and what a beautiful Garrett traction engine
Thank you very much! Really glad you enjoy it.
Awesome video, glad I found this channel! Morgan, get those guys to wipe their lenses on their phone before they start recording.
Glad you like the channel. I'll give Morgan his instructions :-)
I think his windscreen washer bottle wants topping up aswell😂
Great video enjoyed it
Great. Thank you.
Interesting what they would allow on the road compared to over here 🇺🇸
Can't keep me off the road 😂

Cool video and great entertainment!
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it 👍
Quite the adventure 😃
It certainly felt like it! Really enjoyed it though.
Yet another top video who's making ya new tyre
We can refit the tyre. Hopefully before Rona in a couple of weeks.
Loctite on your nuts and bolts!
Yeah, that's an on-going project!
how much water coal and steam engine oil did the 15 mile trip take to do please?
I used about a bag of coal - 25kgs. No idea how much oil, but it's very little. Certainly less than 100ml.
@@SteamOTR Thank you how much water do you think you used during the trip? Also how long does it take to get the boiler up to pressure from cold?
Not entirely sure on water as I didn't measure it, but probably 150 litres. She take about an hour or so to get to pressure from cold.
@@SteamOTR thank you again, I haven't watched all your videos yet but every one I have seen so far I have enjoyed.
nice run and roads looked quiet how long did it take
All in, including stops it was 3.5hrs
@@SteamOTR that’s good going
She's running really well. I do like a long distance route.
I am extremely new to anything steam related, what I wanted to ask is, did you make this yourselves or did you buy it somewhere?
Yeah, I bought it. Have a look back through the videos, it's all there. I knew nothing either!
You guys don't like barbers much do yeh!
They'd go bust if they relied on me!
you should get your tires vulcanised onto the wheel they wont come off then
Yeah, been looking at that. Only trouble is that I'll need to repaint the wheels and get them relined. Best way to go undoubtedly, but also expensive.
