"Ha ha ha" (your laugh in videos)
Scotty, Do you list, ,somewhere in each video the information on the vehicle we are looking at?
Like
“2001 Lexus RX 300 141,000”
If so, where do you put that, in each video, so if someone likes it and wants to try to find one, they know what this car is, what model, what year and the miles
Please & Thank you!
"Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap".🤣Just got 8 6' diameter "wheel bails" of hay out of my 5 acre field. done. whew....its freakin' hot!
You sold me years ago…grabbed a Highlander for wife and a GS350 for me. Never would have even looked at them if it wasn’t for you.
I got a 06 gs300 bc of him and it’s still running! It’s my brothers now and he just gave it to my other little brother😂
The quality and reliability of Toyota and lexus is incredible..makes me regret buying and paying for American made crap for so long.
The new ones aren’t as good as these old ones. Not even close.
I was born in Cambridge, I remember as a kid my dad would always point out the toyota factory. Really cool hearing it mentioned here and given scotties approval
Thanks to you Scotty I got a hold of a 2003 RX300 with 26000 miles. I am very grateful for pointing that model out to me last year! No car payment and 14 pages of carfax maintainance records!
I drive a 1998 Toyota sienna and is still going strong. Love the older Toyotas. I had a 1986 MR2 as well and that ran like a top. If anything, it's rust that kills the Toyotas. I now have a 2015 Tacoma with the 4.0 and will likely be buried in it.
121000 isn’t anything. I have a 2010 Camry with 334000 and it runs GREAT! I love it and drive it almost every day. Just had to put a head gasket, timing, water pump, and thermostat but I’m not complaining. Also had to get a used head for it. Still not complaining because the car is still in excellent condition. Love driving it. 2.5 4 cylinder. Great car!
I saw a video once about why mechanics drive older cars. Mostly older Toyotas, Lexus, Hondas, Crown VIcs, or older F-150s. This more or less explains it. Now I liked that early to mid 90s Lexus LX 450 even it it wasn't all that Lexusey.
So basically Scotty, we should buy a Toyota! I cannot get enough of Scotty. Gotta watch him everyday.
Where are the simple cars without all the electronic tralala.
Russia...you can buy a brand new Lada Granta for about $8500 that comes with air conditioning..but a manual transmission and windows, locks...It's a proven modern car, and it is very reliable.
@@horseathalt7308But who in USA knows how to service that 😞
Africa. When I went to Uganda I drove an awesome Toyota Hilux. Thing was a beast. Sadly, they won't import them into the US. They are an awesome utility truck, simple, and built like a tank, priced between 8,000 and 15,000 new in US dollars. But nooooo, they "aren't safe enough" for the US market.
@@IrishLincoln i know what you är talking about I have a HZJ79/ Troopy from 2000. Bought it new and not a singel issue. I it will even now survive every new build car.
@@horseathalt7308ugh all these stupid regulations are killing us in the U.S.
Toyota ruined the 2024 Tacomas
And the Tundras
@@ravenmoto5948 yes
And the next 4Runner
Don't get either. Duh!
And the gx. And Land Cruiser. And the NX RX RZ LX TX LS Sequoia Tundra Highlander Grand Highlander
Comfortable and high quality, you can't get better than Lexus
Acura close 2nd.
Unless you want a manual transmission. 😢
@@VideoArchiveGuy Acura has you covered.
Unfortunately Lexus hasn't made manuals in a while so for me it's Honda and Mazda
Also 2001 Avalon, same underneath. Still driving mine with just over 200k miles. Always changed the oil every 5k. Only just lately it might burn one half quart between oil changes.
Found a 2008 ES350 for my grandson. Only had 15,000 miles 4 years ago. Put a new set of tires on it and it has been a "PERFECT CAR"
I had a 93 Toyota Supra. 3 liter inline 6. Put 267,000 miles on it before I sold it. It was still running great, but there was a small oil leak on the manifold. I didn’t have cash to fix it so I sold it. Just can’t beat a Toyota.
This is my message to everyone who wants to save money, get a better car, and be more satisfied long term. Used lexus will remain the king of the used market bang for your buck until the new gen becomes a decade old or so. They really don't make them like they used to. Different market conditions and less regulatory restriction. Listen to scotty people.
Toyota is running off the rails. For instance: 2025 Camrys, only hybrids or ev’s. We want non-turbo ice.
I hate hybrid after owning one
@@eligreg99 I was planning on purchasing a new Camry…no 24s available, only 25s. Choice is EV or hybrid. Guess I’ll be shopping for something else.
My brother-in-law bought a used 2001 RX300 with 210k ; was a huge oil burner 😢, 1 quart every 300 miles. Dealership told him that year has incorrectly sized PCV valves. Toyota redesigned the valve in newer cars. Beware.
Sorry - his RX300 only had 110k miles on it when he bought it. My 2004 Camry has 219k on it and doesn't burn any oil.
Beautiful Lexus, looks like new
i just bought a 2006 lexus is250 best decision i ever made
I bought a 2005 Lexus es330 with 125k miles on it from the auction 5 mouths ago.
How much did you pay for it if you don’t mind me asking, trying to get a good deal on one
3000 after taxes and fees
@@billithekid104what a steal
I have a 2009 Lexus rx350....has a tape deck and cd player as well. 198k miles
Same model but low mileage 128k
2010 must have taken out the tape deck, I don't have one!!!
Love the tape deck and CD player,

*I dislike touch screens - a key design point should be that a human voice can interface with the computer for every one of its functions!*
I owned a 2004 Chevy Impala LS that had the 3.8 liter engine-drove it for 18 years before it was T-Boned on Parking Lot. Everything under the Hood was Original except the Battery- Oil Changes, Tranny Changes and Brake Shoes and New Tires is all this Vehicle ever cost me. Before it was T-Boned, I could Drive to CA. and Back and Trust it all the Way. I hate when people Run Down American Made, every vehicle must be taken care of to Last...
I had a 62 Chevy impala, ran beautiful. Someone stole it......
Damn
How many miles?
thanks for featuring us!
I just changed my steering pump on my 24 year old Sienna. You need small Japanese hands to reach
Exactly how does one calculate 10x less?
I just put a deposit on a 2024 4runner sr5. Gonna get the last of the naturally aspirated v6 ones. No turbos
Cars that i bought in 2024 significantly cheaper and as good toyota
1. $1.5k 2002 pontiac firebird 3.8L 175k miles
2. $2k 2006 pontiac vibe aka gm toyota matrix 150k miles
3. $5k 2005 chevy 2500 crew pickup 8.1L 189k miles
Thank you for buying this Pontiac Vibe. Us auto workers at NUMMI in Fremont, CA (now Tesla) appreciate to hear that our product is being appreciated. Thank you again for your ownership. Enjoy your car 🚗, we loved the opportunity to make them. Blessings to you and yours.
You bought them in 2024. You won't know if they are "as good as Toyota" for a number of years. Good luck with that.
@@bonniedouglas6580 did you make 2003 tacomas? Mine was made in Ca..loved that lil truck. 5 speed...
Where did you buy them? Facebook marketplace?
That 3.8 will have the leak that'll ruin the belt then you gotta take off the timing cover to replace the seal not exactly reliable my old Rav4 has only had the valve cover gasket and engine oil pan gasket both for less 40 and took me an hour and and half
My wife had a 2001 RX. 7 Lexus later still like them. Well the turbos worry me now.
Scotty is a fountain of knowledge.
"new"
To me was buying a 2013 Corolla last year with 60k miles.
In a decade when I think about a new car I'll look into the 2024 Prius with the solar roof because it looks sick.
Old Toyotas good new Toyotas bad
I’ve always thought the Lexus Rx was just a fancy Highlander just by the body and how the inside is similar to the highlanders.
I have that exact car in Jamaica it's Toyota harrier 175 thousand kilometers great car
04 3.4l taco still has its OG belt wirh 250k km🇨🇦
Where have we heard all this before?
Jeezus, the camera motion is making me seasick
It's definitely a you issue
Our 2001 Ford Escape also needs the lift gate and window air shocks to hold the window and lift gate open
Where is edbassmaster when you need him… When Scotty said “when you just look at it.” Made me think of Ed 😂
My 2017 RX350 was made in Canada and I love her❤️
To save money get a used car with manual transmission and drive it for ever.
The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection. That model was bulletproof, if you maintained it.
We have a 2001 Ford Escape and it needs a spark plug rethreaded in the head gasket or a newer head gasket
I had one and it had major sludge issues.
We have a 2001 rx300 120000 miles great car. Wife loves her car.
Amen to tape decks!
Si, si!!
I am gonna go get a 21 toyota camry or honda Accord. I still don't know what car I want or if they are good. I hear they are reliable with good gas. If I wanted a hybrid, they are even better, but idk.
Someone pointed out that hybrids have more potential points of failure....but im not an expert, so fact check that
Definitely get the Accord 2.0 Turbo💪
Thank You Scotty for the video 🙏
QUESTION: what would you recommend for a shopper looking for a vehicle with 3 rows? Planning for a big family and want something to last 20+ years.
Scotty is a Dinosaur🦖😎
250,000 miles on my 2012 Camry lol still early stages of its life lol usual maintenance as needed
Old Toyotas are the best.
A 23 year old Toyota is still “new’.
Not necessarily I bought a new 2023 Camry V6 a year ago. One of the last naturally aspirated. I expect it to be as trouble free as the older Toyotas.
What we can afford/need a car under $25,000 with natural aspirated engine, 5 or 6 speed automatic transmission, a back camera and a mandatory side mirrors signal light, the rest are negligible!
Here in Malaysia they rebadge into Toyota harrier
I'd like a cassette deck and CD player in my new car....
Auto makers leaving out the AM radios is crap !!
Very cool SUV!
Instead of buying new Toyota / Lexus buy used Toyota / Lexus is my summary of Scotty's video. Myself will probably get a used Kia Carnival or a EV Ford Transit, not anything I consider particularly desirable but the best of the alternative that suit me. I recall the Toyota middle seats are "not removable" they are but they have an airbag sensor or connector and a still awkward bracket in the floor when the seat is removed. Also a dim hope that magical battery advance will make short range EV much more desirable for not much more money.
Crap! Users (of EV) that pay for everything screwed as usual. A standard and dozens of standards are not the same thing:
"... While the data extraction through the OBD port for internal combustion engine vehicles follows an industry standard, electric vehicles are not constrained by such a standard. ... In the world of emobility, there are literally dozens of standards, which specify everything from electrical safety to dimensions of charging cables to communication links. ..."
Hybrids do mostly stick to established OBD II standards because of ICE involvement.
Stop buying New Toyotas or Lexus. Buy this Lexus.
lol
Thank You
Question? Sorry in advance if this sounds stupid
I’m very interested in buying a 2009 Lexus RX350; yet in my local area I see an 07 & 08 RX350 for sale and would like to know besides year; are the 07/08 the same or near the same as the 09 Lexus RX350?
My 99 Rodeo had a winter button, it shifted it in 3rd and stopped wheel spin.
Will run forever. Will Scotty run forever😂
As much as he keeps on moving around, I wouldn't be surprised. The moment you stop and lose that momentum it's all over.
He hasn’t say “I quit “ yet
Who can afford a $30k Corolla?
For 30k, the average adult can. The question to really ask is, who would want to afford a 30k Corolla?
those were the best years of the most reliable luxury car I would love to buy one new if i can if they still made them lol
I will need your help buying my next vehicle
You can email him asking and I’m sure he will respond
Hey Scotty K, whats good? I got a new word for you today, lemme know what you think and feel: Donphan
That rig has giant sneakers on it Scotty! They must weigh way more than automobile rims and tires. That rig is really nice for being over 20 years old.
WHen I'm tired of driving my 2011 FJ ( 94k miles ) I'm going to buy a used Lexus RC 350.
sport.
Look into Ontario’s extra high use electricity use fees. It costs corps millions and they call it “global” lmao
I can't figure out how to search within a channel. Do you have any kind words or rational alternatives to torque-to-yield screws or particleboard ?
Stop buying new Toyotas and Lexuses and buy used Toyotas and Lexuses instead.

I Don’t know about college Scotty 😂😂
My daughter is now going for her graduate degree at Harvard University. I think I am for that. I'm paying for it. I have an MSEE. UMASS-DARTMOUTH. $500 a semester plus books. A long time ago.
*Why do the onboard computers in vehicles not have their own battery backup instead of going dead when the 12V battery dies?*

KIA's last a long time...6 months.
Today you overpay for badges toyota lexus
I wanna know how hooking something on to a cpu just magically tells you everything wrong with sounds like a more powerful engine behind it goving you said knowledge #7
Toyota Motor Corporation doesn’t make solid built vehicles anymore.
“Stop buying any car, get a time machine and go to 2001 and find a lexus dealership.” Is the real message Im getting from Scotty these days.
Might be cheaper to do it that way…. Modern cars are trash money pits 🤦🏾♂️
That generation has transmission problems
I wish you could come here to Harrison, Arkansas and help myself and my wife Theresa look for a good used vehicle, we need a newer reliable dependable vehicle to get us to Doctor appointments my wife is handicapped disabled amputee and in remission from cancer, myself im in remission from prostate cancer since 2018
Nope. Still buying a new GX550 or Land Cruiser.
Not minimally better. Way better with new struts! I can speed over speed hump again
I got a Dodge Magnum 2006 v6 I have no RPM power what could cause that to happen
I got the rx350 2020 because i saw the first gen model are still seen all across canada and usa. Sure the clear coat might be damaged from sunlight but the car is working just fine.
Did I see this right? Stop buying new Toyota's or Lexus's and buy this Lexus instead?
I would watch videos of Scotty's kids if they had a YT channel.
Scotty you should no the cars in the 60s 70s where bigger hell they where monsterous compared to any cars today.

Hello Scott. What's your honest thoughts about 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
I have one 2001 and another 99. Do you have a good mechanic? They have to mostly source parts from salvage yards. You have to have a reliable tow company on speed dial. I like mine a little too much.
@dianjane My mechanic is a good one. I have aaa and with my insurance company couplefd together tows up to 115 miles. Haven't nerded it yet, but one never knows. My jeep has 123,000 miles on it and runs well. The only thing I'm having a problem with is rusted rockers. The last owner left it sitting near a lake or something.
Hahah your right Scotty same here in California, only the rich neighborhoods get the new pavement!
