This brings back happy memories from 25 years ago when I stayed in Stanton for Christmas, enjoying several days of exhilarating sport. Today I am living in far off lands and incapable of revisiting those places. That's why I am especially grateful for your beautiful video.

Stanton is a very nice place to live. No billboards and busy shopping streets, just peace and quiet. Everything seems to have been restored and has a beautiful style. Have seen this movie a few times. Thank you for this beautiful recording!

Not sure of the population of Stanton but it looks like such a quaint quiet village. I can’t believe how peaceful it is and that there’s very few people about. Amazing buildings all the way back to the 9th century. It really is a hidden gem. Thanks as always Will and Simon for sharing ❤

So charming! It seems this was a lovely place to live, even 300 years ago. Only the motorcars seem out of place. Maybe they should have an ordinance that no cars made after 1930 can be parked on the streets, lol. The church restoration beautiful. Thank you for sharing this treat. :)
I'd go further! Replace that concrete road with cobblestone and ban cars within city limits sans lorries, contractors, police, and emergency services. The rest can go park somewhere else and walk to the village!

This village could be in Somerset. The stone is very similar to hamstone. Montacute, Kingsbury, Martock, Hinton St George, Ilminster, areas. Picture postcard villages 😊
Anywhere in the Cotswolds will be expensive to live just a few hundred people live there. No idea what jobs they have. There are probably some second homes as well.

We do sometimes just depends on the time of day we are in places. For Stanton it will not change later in the day it’s a sleepy village.
