i absolutely love this game. i started a new world when 1.0 released, and its really finally starting to shape up. doing a slightly different style of playthrough this time. building mega factories again, but this time, im building mini factories at the node locations and then bringing the items into the mega factory with like... legs off the mega factory. everything comes in through a huge lift spine up to the top where the parts get turned into more complex parts. somehow managed to pull off 125 computers a minute at one of my mega factories haha! now im working on a world train to haul around the more advanced parts to build end game parts :) i too am a notepad user haha :P definitely thinking about starting a spreadsheet so i can do easier calculations though... and i built a MASSIVE aluminum processing plant in the swamp. im making ~2.4k aluminum ingots/minute there haha cheers Jace!
Had that same feeling "oh this is going to be a big factory" when I calculated I needed 40 forges, ~80 smelters, ~140 constructors, ~80 assemblers. Just to up my heavy modular frames 😅
I have some small scale Ficsite ingot and Toblerone productions using Iron, but I don't have nearly enough aluminum available yet to switch over to that recipe. I sloop my constructors making reanimated SAM to help offer the lower yield from using Iron or Caterium in Converters.
Sure you do. Sloppy+Electrode+Pure, Bauxite, Crude->HOR->PC, Water & VIP junctions, optionally Wet Concrete for excess water, or isolate fresh vs recycled water.
I love building a nuclear plant near the swamp. For the aluminum build, the silica can be build near the big cascade and bring in the bauxite for the alumina. The only thing that’s missing is coal.
I started a new playthrough because I over did it on my last one trying to make a 5 terrawatt fuel gen (Ionized) factory, key word tried. I realized the scope was to large for my patience.
Epic props for trying and failing hard. That is 100% the way I love to play SF. If not trying, you're not learning or improving. Try again but smaller, then try bigger. It's just a game. No fear, no stress, (except fighting OCD, game bugs, build limitations, hardware capabilities, and my all-too-often peon brain, those are stressful).
@@Warp9pnt9 Oh I might revisit it later on, I started a new world and I'm doing every low and slow like a brisket. I'm building the absolute minium of everything needed and then just leaving the dedicated server running for a day or two to let the containers fill up. I'm about to unlock oil and am running off of only 8 coal generators. I'll scale up once I get oil, I the having to constantly worry about my power budget so I build small to start. I built 15 bio gens to start and never tripped my grid once. I only used solid bio fuel, never put any leaves or biomass in them.
I need the customizer to be fixed, Ive only covered like 8% of the map in foundations so far and my FPS drops to 4 when i open the customizer on a foundation
Word or LibreOffice, OpenOrifice, Collabora, or OnlyOffice, or Google Dics & Spreads, are all fine tools, but I find txt works best for me for this use case.

looking at Jace's notepad work confuses the hell out of me, even though i do it the exact same way. it makes sense but somehow looking at someone else's writing makes me confused at the same time. i think it's cause he's just doing 1 to 1 machines, where as i work out how many machines i need to make the final product efficient and work backwards to how much Silica i'd need for the rest of the system to work too. also Power Shards.
@@AnimaTweek Depends. I start with how much of the critical resource (Bauxite) I can get, use 100% maths to figure out machine counts, then work backwards for water, petroleum coke, etc. It the numbers are janky, I may decide to overclock by as much as 5-10%, or underclock as low as 51-99%, to simplify logistics. At the end, if I want a specific number, I can apply a simple ratio multiplier, jot those down too in shorthand.

I might have to steal the step design

For the aluminum build, the silica can be build near the big cascade and bring in the bauxite for the alumina. The only thing that’s missing is coal.
I built my nuclear power and fuel rod processing in the swamp in my EA playthrough. Now in 1.0 I'm doing my aluminum processing there, too.
I once decided to build a global wet concrete factory there as my first permanent factory. Logistics are tricky.

Yes!! 😂

Dude why aren't you using the built in sticky notes haha, you worked on the game goddamnet 😂
I often use them, but they don’t fit all of these notes, and they interfere with chat on the layout.
