the real story is that william afton finds a substance called "remmrant" and tries to become immortal with the souls of children, but fails and goes to hell there after years of torture he finds a way to escape and he transfers his brain with a chip to the robot he gave the glitchtrap amnesty to, but because glitchtrap is just a hologram He agrees with vanny, namely Vanessa, and assigns her to complete his mission.

Welcome to my explanation of this animation honestly I’m just overthinking things like game theory but does it look like I care no onto the explaining
I think this animation is trying to convey grief basically William Afton loses his kid and just feels sad all the time of course he’s able to hide it as a lot of people are able to hide emotions but something else happens this purple version of him is trying to represents grief and anger The Purple version which I’ll just call grief controls him as grief and Anger can sometimes control your actions grief and anger can control you a lot compared to your other emotions which would be the reason why he killed the kids it was grief and anger once he got springlocked he starts to finally feel bad but then grief comes back this time more angry he’s mad at the kids for killing him but then Afton he’s trying to fight the anger knowing that he deserves this that’s how I think this animations message is some thing about grief
